Score from 1711 reviews Very good
The hotel was really well located near the Segradi Familia. You could either walk into town or get the metro. Hotel was very clean and staff helpful. They have little in the way of breakfast facilities etx though.
Ideally, a breakfast option (other than coffee and orange juice) wod have been good.
Friendliness and professionalism of the staff
Size of the room.
The location was fantastic, about one minutes walk from Sagrada familia and the metro station. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Coffee and orange juice was also provided alongside snacks in the lobby which was a nice bonus. There is also a fairly priced supermarket next door and a fruit shop with a very nice old man across the road. We really enjoyed our stay at hostemplo, I would stay there again.
No proper check out
Location is excellent, 2 mins walk from the famous Sagrada Familia. 3 mins walk to the Sagrada Familia Metro station. Comfortable beds and shower (rain shower) facilities as well as cooking area as we had a studio for 3 persons. A little of a compact size but would definitely come back again if in Barcelona. Friendly reception that answers all your questions with a free snack bar.
Very clean rooms which was lovely, air conditioned and very good internet speeds. Staff were mostly friendly. Comfy beds and clean bathroom with no mould/hair stuck in plug/anything else disgusting. Near sagrada familia and around 30 mins walk from Placa de Catalunya.
This is supposed to be a hostel, but has the appearance and decor of a hotel. No shampoo at all, only soap. No kind of safe in the room, we had to leave all our important valuables in the reception safe. No phone in room which is annoying.
Stayed here fro nights and it was great! They really made us feel welcome, it was more like a hotel, free sweets on the bed and free coffee was a great bonus! Loved saying so close to sagrada familia, never get bored of seeing it, was just a few changes on the metro to get to the main square. Will definitely stay again.
Room service View
Hostemplo is perfect for people who want to stay somewhere modern, clean, safe and near a metro station (5min walk). Staff happy to help with queries. Rooms are on the small side but doesn't matter if you're out all day long. Air con and wifi were good.
I don't know what the towels are made of but they don't dry you at all! Cheap and thin. No English TV channels. A lot of the time the front desk was unmanned (but in fairness the front door secure).
Just a few minutes walk to the Segrada, the Metro and a host of bars and restaurants. Large, spotlessly clean room, ensuite, with fresh towels each day. Quiet. Great value for money.
Nothing at all - this was a great stay.
Attractive, modern & clean
Room was small though this was not really a problem.
Good location. Walking distance to everywhere.
Walking distance to Sagrada Familia, free food and drinks for guess at lobby, nearby has meet and fruit shops
Shower what're easy to get cold, the room is very small
Excellent location with really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were fantastic and were very clean and tidy. Would highly recommend!
A good price for Barcelona. Close to La Sagrada Familia. Good access to the metro. We were able to take the metro from the train station to our stop and then walk to our hotel. This saved both time and money.
The room was very small, and done Ikea style. The hairdryer turned off after about two minutes. Then you had to wait for a few minutes before continuing to dry your hair. There are a couple of good restaurants in the area, but not much to choose from. We enjoyed lunch at the Michael Collins pub. The proprietor went out of his way to visit with us. If I were to go to Barcelona again I would stay closer to the beach and Las Ramblas.
Great location near Sagrada Familia, and a relatively easy walk (20 - 30 minutes) to the beach or Las Ramblas. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Shower and bathroom were also good.
Nothing was objectionable.
It was very clean and modern.
There was a kettle in the room, but no cups or tea or coffee facilities in the room itself.
Very nice new rooms
Luggage storage after check-out had some time restrictions
Good location in a nice neighborhood. Rooms are clean and service friendly. Excellent choice for a low budget traveler. There are many breakfast cafes and decent restaurants nearby.
Nice safe area close to Sagrada Familia
A bit of a hike down to La Ramblas and staff at frobt desk could have been a little more helpful and friendly.
For us, this was a great location close to the Sagrada Familia and had a great neighborhood feel. It is touristy right around the cathedral but get a block or so away and it's fine. Lots of restaurants of all types on Calle Gaudi and easy to get around town via the two nearby metro stops. The room is small but very contemporary and the staff was great. If all you want to do is shop, stay on Passig de Garcia. If you want a feel of neighborhood Barcelona stay here.
Nothing i can think of
Very comfortable and well kept little room - good value for someone intent on being out and about every day. Liked that I could slide open the big window for air, view of sky and sounds of the area. Locality has plenty of restaurants & bars nearby, easy access to the subway and the chance to gaze on Sagrada Familia every day in all it's glory. Also felt very safe walking around late at night. Staff all courteous and responsive.
Had a kettle but no cup or other utensils provided. Bathroom is well appointed and well-kept but from time to time that Barcelona drain aroma is evident - remedied by opening the room's window.
Amazing location a block away from the Sagrada Familia. The staff was friendly and the free coffee 24/7 was a great service.
Our room on the ground floor was fairly dark. There were also a few ants near the door.
To be honest, not much, not even the price
it was close only to the cathedral of The sacred Heart, the rooms were small, the bathroom not too private, the sliding glass door in the bathroom was a pain to deal with, not enough pillows, looks much bettter in the internet than in reality
WiFi signal was a bit slow
