Clean and comfortable Good location close to Barclaycard Centre for concerts Good value
Small bathroom I had a small room with a double bed for single rate .. others in the group had bigger rooms
Very clean Friendly staff Very good location Well run
Very helpful and nice staff, good location (eateries, metro station to city center nearby, within walking distance of Buen Retiro park), very clean, quiet (at least if you get a room on the back, which we asked for and got).
The room was rather small. Phonic isolation with nearby rooms could be better. The hotel is on a very busy, 5-lane avenue so street-facing rooms could potentially be noisy.
Very conveniently settled just next to the Sports Arena which is exactly what we were looking for with having visited Madrid only for the Basketball World Cup finals. The staff was really friendly, having in mind that this is a hostel, the room was really comfortable and clean and agreeable.
one of the tiniest bathrooms we have ever seen, but still does the job
Clean and situated in a good location
Normally, I wouldn't mind about things like both windows broken, internet not working, hard bad, thin walls, no soap in the toilet, very few light in the room and so on and so forth. What I can't accept is the lack of good manners. In fact, probably because of the good location, the staff at La Nava Hotel dare more than they should in dealing with clients, aiming at gaining some more cash. My story: when I arrived, a friend of mine picked me up at the airport and took me to the hotel. They wouldn't let him in, not even for 10 minutes, claiming he should pay the 15 euros fee for guest allowance. I reminded them I would stay in the hotel during 8 night (250 euros), plus probably one more week the next month, which means they shouldn't technically mind for a 15-euro-worth 10 minutes visit. No way, they said "thanks god we have enough clients, you can leave if you don't like this rule". I was patient, I stayed two more nights. Back broken by the hard bad, internet not working, I asked the madam the pleasure to accompany me upstairs to get the room keys when I left, as I had 3 luggages and that would be very difficult for me to pass from the reception, situated on another floor. She said she wouldn't, that I could take it easy and bring the luggages "slowly", she would not be in a hurry. Unbelievable. My advice: Madrid is full of nice hotels in good locations, totally avoid this one...
It's like the fourth time I arrive to the same Hostal, I really like the place, staff is nice and is well located, the price is OK considering the area and the city.
price staff near main scenic spot
smoking odor poor wifi a bit far from bus station
The room was clean, and the reception stayed open late. We didn't check in until 2:00 am. There's a vending machine for snacks, another for water/sodas, and a third for coffee. Bed was comfortable and clean, and bathroom was clean as well.
The location is near a train station (5 minute walk), but there's not a lot in the area in terms of bars and restaurants. If you're looking to be near the action of bars/cafés/museums/etc, this isn't the place. Very bare bones - you'll get a bed and a bathroom. No extras like soap, shampoo, a breakfast option or any type of room service.
Great value for money in Salamanca for those who are not intending to use the place apart from sleeping. Excellent location.
Wifi signal is wavy! Apart from this excellent place for the budget traveller.
We'll run ,quiet , cleaner than any hotel I have stayed in , keys worked perfectly . I will stay again ,as my daughter lives in Madrid .
The main road ..noisy !
wifi is not good for my ipad
The family who run the hotel wasn't particularly pleasant and there was a tampon no less, lodged beneath the plug hole in the sink! Also very noisy road.
-very good and quiet location -good services
-TV on bad spot for me, because I am tall
Staff is really nice and the location is very good.
The bedspread had very bad aspect, the pillowcase had hair on it and the bathroom smelled.
The location is very good for us, as we visit family who live in that area of Madrid. The hostel is very clean and comfortable for us. Also easy to reach on public transport from the airport.
Location; super freindly staff; the room looked very nice
A lot of hair left on the blankets in the bed and cigarette smell in the room
Its the 6th time i have stayed here, always clean, always friendly, great location, couldn´t ask for more! See you on my next visit to madrid!
Nice room with private bathroom in the center of Madrid for a very low price. Staff was friendly and helpful.
