Normally, I wouldn't mind about things like both windows broken, internet not working, hard bad, thin walls, no soap in the toilet, very few light in the room and so on and so forth. What I can't accept is the lack of good manners.
In fact, probably because of the good location, the staff at La Nava Hotel dare more than they should in dealing with clients, aiming at gaining some more cash. My story: when I arrived, a friend of mine picked me up at the airport and took me to the hotel. They wouldn't let him in, not even for 10 minutes, claiming he should pay the 15 euros fee for guest allowance. I reminded them I would stay in the hotel during 8 night (250 euros), plus probably one more week the next month, which means they shouldn't technically mind for a 15-euro-worth 10 minutes visit. No way, they said "thanks god we have enough clients, you can leave if you don't like this rule". I was patient, I stayed two more nights. Back broken by the hard bad, internet not working, I asked the madam the pleasure to accompany me upstairs to get the room keys when I left, as I had 3 luggages and that would be very difficult for me to pass from the reception, situated on another floor. She said she wouldn't, that I could take it easy and bring the luggages "slowly", she would not be in a hurry. Unbelievable.
My advice: Madrid is full of nice hotels in good locations, totally avoid this one...
Clean and situated in a good location
