lovely welcome on arrival and extremely helpful and attentive during our sadly very short two night stay. will look to use the paloma again in the future
This hostal was more like a motel than a hotel. It's right by the national road and if you are just passing by and looking for a place to spend the night - its location is excellent. It's good for a walk to the beach, too. Right next to the hostal there are a couple of restaurants, by the road - a japanese place and some other venues - didn't try them but they were packed when we came back in the evening, so they must be good :) The accommodation was very basic but well worth the 30 eu we paid for a night. There are 4-5 parking spots to the side of the building - we didn't have a problem but i am not sure if there are enough spaces for everyone who is staying in the hotel. We didn't try the breakfast but we did try the coffee - it was good and cheap - 2 espresos for 2 eu.
The location is a bit far if you want to go visit the rock (El Peñon de Ifach) - 5-7 min. by car. We were out for dinner at the promenade and when we were finding out way back to the hostal, we found out that there are no lights on the streets which we needed to use to get back. It was a full moon and we had a flashlight but we still could barely see - beware! It's safe though - no problems at all. There were some construction works going on - a lot of painting (and the accompanying smell)
very clean and friendly staff. Ideal location for our needs. very good continental breakfast served. Rooms basic but had everything you would need.
Nothing to dislike
Excellent value for what we paid, free parking and ease of access.
Location and helpful staff availability of parking
Very small room however for one night it is ok
Good location thou address is rubbish and could not find on sat nav pool good beds o.k room very basic
Address and loads of mosqutes no fly sceensonwindows
Good rooms - lots of space. Clean and tidy. Nice pool for kids. Young lady who made the breakfasts was very friendly and helpful.
Not enough tables for breakfast - so had to wait 30 minutes to get a table.
I was visiting my brother and his family. I live in Malaga and I drove up with my daughter for a few days. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast is very good value for money. I had forgotten a plug adapter and asked if they had one, they went and bought me one at no cost to me. I would definitely stay at La Paloma again.
Swimming pool to cool off in. Air conditioning in rooms.
Looks like somone had a little trouble with their paint brush and rather than moving items has just painted with them institute. Broken parasols damaging my wrist when they collapse.
We were really impressed with how clean the rooms were and Julie and Hubby made us feel really welcome and were very friendly towards us.We will definately use the Paloma again.Kind regards Julie.Linda and Rob.uk
Nice garden with a swimmingpool. Little room, but we got a room with a terrace which we liked very much. Friendly staff.
Walls like paper, you can hear everything from your neighbour.
Clean, cheap and suitable for an couple of nights stay. Good location and value for money. Have stayed here before when in the area and always found it adequate. Basic breakfast served with a friendly attitude and smile. Will stay there again.
Everything from the fantastic owners to the spotlessly clean rooms and flowers everywhere. Great location too.
Hey what can you say for 38 euros a night, quaint, comfortable, very clean good location within walking distance of La Fossa beach very good Indian restaurant and bar next door.
Ensuite rather cramped but very clean
Exceptionally clean, especially the bedding. Good breakfast for the money.
Nice quiet position, terrace and breakfast. Very good value for money.
Clean room. Puhdas huone.
Reseption smelled old fish. Walls like paper, road next to house. Very small room and bathroom. Only one key for room and gate, and you can't get in or out of the hostal without key! We left after one night. Breakfast white toast and cheapest muffin. Me lähdimme yhden yön jälkeen.
We loved the presentation of the room - very romantic. Breakfast was included and very nice. We thought it was excellent value. We would recommend this hostel.
There were no negatives for us.
very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, cozy room, quiet place.
very far away from the centre. the swimming pool is not heated in winter.
Unlike a lot of cheaper accommodation in Spain, the owners had taken a bit of time to think about how the rooms looked, and added modern looking features like matching throws and nice lighting fittings. The room was quite small, but we were only using it to sleep and shower, so it was absolutely perfect for us. The beds were very comfy and we slept really well. The area around the hostal is nice, with nice tiled flooring and lovely plants. We were there just after Christmas, and I imagine it's even nicer in the summer when the pool would be more appealing.
The breakfasts could definitely be improved. Everything was nice enough (although I found a couple of mouldy oranges in the fruit bowl) but there wasn't really enough of it. The 'tostadas' were two small slices of toast with a slice of ham and a slice of cheese - nice enough, but two of these would have been better. Then we got cakes, which were great for me as I like sweet things, but my partner was left a bit hungry at times. The coffee was excellent - make sure to ask for more if you want it!
Our rooms were not on the main road,so quiet. Beds were comfortable. Nice little garden, very close to an excellent Indian restaurant & a German place who serve lovely & very reasonably priced food. The place was clean & breakfast nice.
Rooms & shower room were rather small, but enough for a very reasonable price
For the price I paid it was excellent value very clean nicely decorated handy on the sidr of the road from Calpe to Moriara I would definitely stop there again
would have liked an English news channel on the TV
There was a great terrace with the room, which coul come to good use in summer, but in rainy weather could not enjoy it.
The restaurant was not open and the room was very could.
Great little family business and the lady that looked after us was just lovely. The room was clean, nicely decorated and, although basic, had everything we needed for our one night stay. We were here in November so were the only guests, I think, but I imagine it would still be quiet in high season and would be cool.
The family room was quite small.
