Good value basic accommodation
Staff could have been a bit more cheerful
Everyone was very sweet and welcoming, i traveled with a small dog and they truly were pet friendly (-: room was a good size and comfortable, BUT make sure ti request a room that is not facing the street. Drunk people hang out at the bars bellow until after 5:00am, you will not get a second of sleep, they are very loud
Room was facing street, it was impossible to sleep, there are drunk loud people at the bars down stairs till well after 5:00am each night. Ask for an interior room instead
Basic hotel, but in a great location. Ideal for a weekend city break as the hotel is in walking distance of many famous monuments. Also close to many bars and restaurants.
No hair dryer in the bedrooms. Shower was very very small.
Excellent location in the city center. Quit rooms we had 2 different rooms, one streetside with sound shutters, one backside. Friendly staff. Cheap parking tip directions, 8 euro a day. Wifi airco
Nothing I can think off
Fantastic location, excellent value for money, traditional style hotel with rooms with high ceilings. Very friendly staff.
Very friendly staff, perfect location.
Facilities were too poor.
Rooms are clean and were cleaned every day similar story with sheets and towels. Comfortable bed. Personnel was very helpful. Price is good and the location is perfect!
Very slow Wi-Fi, 1 person from 3 we met speak English.
Location and staff
The hotel was a little traditional yet the cleanliness and facilities were high standard
Great location. Lift. Lovely manager.
I liked the location. It was convenient to the museums, Puerta del Sol. I liked that they had computer available for use with complimentary internet access. I liked that the front desk staff was helpful with information about bus service to the airport. I liked that the rooms were clean and quiet.
I loved how quiet eveything was. They're breakfast facilities were pretty nice as well. Beds were comfortable and the room was tidy.
Near the central of the city.
Too old building. And it is among bars.
The location was good.
It was a bit noisy
Ideally placed, this is relatively quiet hostel that offers respite for the tourist on a busy walking schedule. Wifi works, staff is friendly, keeps the room clean. Just two blocks away the noise seeping from bars full of revellers is impossible so I was happy to shut it out.
the room was very clean and the staff was very polite and friendly. The location was perfect as it is in the centre of Madrid and eveything are closed. All in all, everything was perfect! :)
Large room, big closet, cleanliness, comfortable bed. Location was perfect, close to restaurants, shopping, sights. Daytime staff was great.
NO HOT WATER IN THE MORNING!! We had to catch the 7:00 a.m. Airport bus and at 5:30 a.m. a very cold shower was not what we were expecting. I hope this problem has been fixed. The night staff just gave us a blank look when we told him about it.
very good location
everything was ok
an excellent location, at a very good price. clean rooms, kind personnell
the bed was a bit small. make sure to book a room with balcony as other rooms are facing narrow lightcourts, however the street is quite noisy at weekends
It was a little noisy.
Very good value overall.
Bed only 1,90m long.
An old charming hotel, very central, and easy to reach from the airport (if you don`t have too much luggage, it`s fastest and cheapest - € 2,55 - to take the "Cercanias" train to Recoletos station, which is a few hundred meters north of Plaza Cibeles, and less than 15 minutes from the hotel).
It`s near the epicentre of the party zone, and yes, it does get noisy at night, but interior old wooden 1½" shutters helps a lot.
This place is a gem - why am I even telling people about it? ;-). You couldn't ask for a better location: in an atmospheric cobbled alley, slap-bang in the middle of the old quarter, surrounded by bars & restaurants and just a stone's throw from Plaza Cibeles, Gran Via, Retiro Park, Atoche, Plaza Mayor - the lot. The rooms itself are spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and well heated, which is great as Madrid can be cold & rainy in January! Staff helpful and recognised us from the year before. Wifi worked well. On the whole a characterful place (love the old wooden staircase). This is not one of those flash & funky boutique hotel, but a great, solid base for your city break! Great value for money and a lovely place to know about.
The Hostal Lisboa is clean, honest and convenient, located into the heart of Madrid (very close to Plaza del Sol). The staff is very friendly, generous, pleasant, and we warmly suggest this place, if you are looking for a cheap solution and are not expecting luxurious rooms. Our staying was really very good.
Very friendly stuff.
Size of rooms. It was not enough of space in regular room for two adults and baby.
