I didn't like the room I was given on my first night which was no bigger than a shoe box and the shower had water that ran onto the floor. I asked for the room to be cleaned afterwards, as I had to used the towels after showering to mop up the water. But somehow this was forgotten and when I returned to the room later that night, the room wasn't cleaned and the room had a musty odor. However, I advised the staff and they came and gave me a new towel and spritzed the room with a deodorant that smelled nice. The staff upgraded me to another room, and I the bed wasn't as comfortable the long pillow was hard and the cover wasn't nice looking. The most comfortable pillow was the large square cushion pillows but these hadn't been washed, as I could smell other people on them and there were makeup stains on them. I asked for a new pillow and the staff brought me one, which smelled nice and clean. Obvious difference. There was also a long hair in the sheets. They changed the sheets for me. They explained that the sheets are clean but the problem is the launderer, which I understand. They also explained that the pillows have been washed but the makeup stains just don't come out.
I liked the location and the style of the hotel. The rooms were bright and modern and well decorated, for inexpensive cute look. Nothing a bit of paint can't fix and a sense of style to make a room look good. The staff were very nice and helpful. The shoebox room I had on the first night had the most comfortable bed and pillows I've slept on in 7 months in Spain. I believe they upgraded me to another room and didn't charge me for the upgrade, which was nice and should be what is done in the hotel industry. I had breakfast for 6E which wasn't bad, no hot food though, but enough fruit, yogurt, fresh juice, meats and cheeses and a wholegrain bread, which was fine. I'm sure you could find this somewhere else for less money. I don't think the problems are the faults of the staff, but rather the owners who should change launderers and buy new pillows that have stains that don't come out. Unfortunately, it is the staff who suffer when either a company or an owner won't assist the in doing their jobs. Very nice people, I'd stay again - nothing's perfect and for perfect I don't want to pay the overpriced rates of what should be standard in everything.
