the night noise
great location clean very good for hostal
nothing.... well maybe one but not very important....as the bathroom is small, maybe the shower sould have panels instead the curtains because they touch the body (and I' m very slim)
Great city centre location & value for money.
Very good location.
Some other hotels within the same building.
The value for money is outstanding. The location is very central and convenient; although located in a busy street, the hostal is quiet and cosy. It is very clean and the staff is courteous. Will definitely visit again if I return to Madrid.
The location is outstanding. The room is comfortable and very quiet.
The water would only remain warm during your shower for the first 5 minutes or so. Then it would gradually get colder to the point you needed to turn it off. The next person would need to wait for around 30 minutes so she could shower too. I called the reception and the lady said this was normal.
Staff dont speak english
Right in the center, near the metro station.Nice and clean.
One key for three people, wifi not always working.
Perfect location and wi-fi.
Very helpful, friendly staff. Straight off the metro and you arrive at the top of the street where Los Alpes is situated. The hostal will look after your luggage when you vacate your room until you are ready to collect it.
We were on 3rd floor and main door was difficult to open(from the inside).. .could do with a handle. Stayed in a double room which was a bit small (but adequate). More room in the twin bedded room I booked last time. Not really a gripe more for info.
food, accomodation, location, price
got stuck in lift for 40 min and the staff were incompetent whilst dealing with this crisis
Location - right on the gran via metro. Cleanliness - cleaned everyday and washed linen everyday. Staff - the lady on reception could not have been nicer. She could'nt speak English but we managed. She really made an effort with us so it was easier. Price - At £15 pp per night you won't find a better option in most big cities. Free Wifi - the lady on reception gives you the password for the wifi and the reception is very good.
That we had to leave so soon.
Clean room, located at centre of Madrid, helpful staff even though they do not speak English. Highly recommended.
if you travel to other city recommend stay near renfe because subway in madrid is not very good due to soo many stairs and not escalator or lift the city does not concern about wheelchair person or old people.
The staffs were super sweet and helpful. The location is very central and we didn't even take any public transportation to major attractions.
Very noisy at night since our room is facing the street. The bath room is very small. After taking a shower, water leaked out from the bath to the bedroom and we have to use towels to dry it...
location great value
front desk average
great location, good value for money, standard - good as well
a bit too hot in the room, but still one could use air-conditioning :).
It is very good for the money you pay
Not have good insulation in the rooms .You hear what happens in the hallways and indoor.
Great location, refurbished old building, friendly staff, cosy rooms and very clean!!!
The location was great, very handy to the main streets. Close to metro station as well. The shower was great!
Kitchen has no cooking equipment as in pots and pans for the hot plate. The beds are to narrow for a decent sleep as well as just to uncomfortable. The receptionist wasn't helpful at all. The booking.com websites accepts amex credit card payments which is good but no good when the hotel doesn'T. The site should warn you of this. It's not right to be able to pay with your favourite card at first then told they don't accept amex once you check in.
Noisy inside. You can't sleep in the morning because of the cleaning staff and people moving.
right in middle of city but hotel was so quite fantastic black out windows was so good
