I liked almost all. Location, room small, but for us was not important, clean. Owner is very nice and kind lady, but doesnt speak english.
Nice personal but without english language skills. Nice hostel close to everything.
The hostel is pretty once you get inside, and easy to access from the bus stop.
It was noisy - the walls are thin and you could hear every person walking down the passage, doors opening and closing, people in the next door rooms etc. It was fine for one night.
The location is the only good thing about this hostal.
The whole room was sooooo humid, it was really unfortable. We asked the owner to change room and he told us to turn on the heat to evacuate the humidity in the room... even though it was alreary 25 degrees outside. The bed was really inconfortable, we didn't sleep more than 4 hours during our 2 days stay. The onsite parking entrance is horrible, we scratched our rental car...
Very nice place
This quiet hotel is on one of the narrow streets in the old city--too narrow for the taxi to drive on. No parking, but there are several 24/7 garages in Cordoba, so I left the car there and took a taxi to the hotel. Air conditioning was great, since it was so hot and wifi worked beautifully.
The place was clean and beautiful and was well located.
the courtyard... small but very clean. location.
In the old town with private parking (tell them in advance). Very friendly staff; they only speak Spanish but understand English.
Great Location and super cute!
only thing was the wi-fi, but the owner had the company coming to look at it! So she did well trying to fix the problem
The older couple that runs it are very nice and accommodating.
Everything is old & the rooms are tiny.
decoration location clean
loud noise of air conditioner
It was close to the center 5 min walk, the rooms and even the shared bathroom were very clean, there was a small ''patio'' inside the hostel.
it's located near the turistic spots (5 minutes walking from the Mezquita but it's still at distance of the crowd of turists. Excellent quality/price
very friendly staff,good location,comfortable bed
no breakfast,no elevator
Very good hotel for what you pay. The hotel is very clean. Although the staff may not speak English, however, the old lady who works there was very nice and helpful.
The location. The fact that they have a secure parking place. The smiling face of the owner. Interesting Cordoba house. That'a all.
We found the street very difficult at night by car. After we parked the car, they gave us very less time to take our things from the car because they had to lock the parking. It wasn't so nice to be in rush. The room was really cold and air condition made the room even colder, I guess they need to make its filters clean or smt. I looked for someone to speak about it but there was noone around. Noone speaks English, not even a word unfortunately but they seem happy and friendly.
Friendly lady in charge. Garage for parking. In old part of Cordoba very near Mezquita.
The bedroom straight off the reception area proved very noisy when inconsiderate guests returned in the early hours, talking loudly. The directions on booking.com will take you on a very convoluted route. Instead, make for the road alongside the river (Paseo de la Ribera or Ronda de Isasa) and turn into Calle Consolacion from here. There's a little square opposite the pension where you can park to unload.
Good location, clean room, parking place in the underground.
No english speaking worker, but we could understand each other by hands and so on. She tried to help us. The room was cold, no heating possibility. Very small bathroom, no easy to move, but to send only the night there it is acceptable.
The hostal is located near the river and 10 minutes walking to the mezquita.
I would not recommend this hostal to anyone. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk and I had to buzz repeatedly til someone came down. Upon entering our room (the first one on the left on the first floor), I immediately noticed the smell of mold and damp feeling. I have terrible allergies and cannot be around mold, so this was a big concern for me. My boyfriend noticed that there was mold growing on the walls and that someone had painted over it in an effort to hide it. This is not the way to run an effective business, if a hotel has mold they should close the room while they fix the problem, not paint over it and endanger the guests' health. Overall, I was very disappointed with the hostal and we ended up canceling our second night there. It was not worth the money, there are plenty of other hostales in Cordoba.
Though we arrived at 4 at night, we couldn't even ring the bell - as we were managing our baby and luggages from the car to the hotel's door, the staff (middle age lady) opened and took us directly to our room without any formalities, even without telling our names, almost without telling a word at all - just signalizing to keep the silence. I liked the traditional style of entrance hall and patio with pretty tiles on the walls.
Arriving to Cordoba city centre with a car is really monstrous experience - don't do it!!! Not only there is no parking here but you are not allowed to go through - even the wide "avenida" streets are signed as pedestrian zone and few one-way streets leed nowhere. We were straying there for 2 hours. Finally we found parking at the other river bank, and even there it was not easy to find allowed road. The room was small -that's OK for the money but it was very unhelpfuly settled - the sink just aside one of the beds so that the bed couldn't be alongside the wall etc... At first I thought some of the guest are so mannerless to smoke at the bathroom and droping the ash to the toilet, then it came out it is one of the staff - actually the cleaning woman :-(( But I must say the room as well as the common bathroom was really clean (save the ash).
Excellent and very helpful staff. Phew didn't speak English at all. But really helpful.
Lovely owners who helped us with all our requests. Clean, tidy, very secure hostal.
Room was small for our family.
The place itself, it's a traditional Cordoba house with all the best elements (patio, tiles, flowers, decor). The WiFi is perfect. Cleanliness, warmth. The location is very close to the river walk, and few walking minutes away from everything interesting.
Spotless clean room, and the garage nearby is handy for those who are driving.
The toilet is a little bit small, but bearable unless you are spending lots of time in there. 10 mins walk to the mezquita.
