Jug would be nice for tea they do have a machine for coffee
Location - near metro station and near Plaza Mayor (however watch out the door!! easy to miss for the first time) Very friendly personnel Good facility, lift!! Many places to sit nearby
Easy to miss for the first time
the hostel employees were very friendly and accommodating. The hostal is right above plaza mayor and the mercado making it a very good location. Nightlife and restaurants were decently priced and very enjoyable.
Room was small but did the job.
Friendly staff, most spoke little English, others more. 3 minutes to the major square, very popular, especially on the weekends. Close to TI, and metro.
Room very small and stuffy. Bed was hard, pillows terrible.
My room was small and cramped but palatial compared to the bathroom, where I could rest my chin on the sink while sitting on the commode. The room was very noisy.
The location was perfect. There is a lift for the luggage. You have everything you need downstairs and you are next to the trendy San Miguel Market, Plaza Mayor. You can stroll to the three main museums as well as the Plaza de Paja. The staff were delightful. Really good value.
Try to get a room at the back as I imagine the front ones are noisy as downstairs are lots of restaurants. Luckily we had a room at the back.
Hostal is situated very close to many attractions and great restaurants. Just a few metres away from plaza mayor ... And just on d same road, you'll find san Miguel market which is awesome, as you can find variety of foods to try it out ... Very close to San gines (best for churros and its open for 24 hrs :) ) and walkable distance to Puerto del sol ... So, all in all would very much recommend others to stay here if you are looking for an affordable place to stay in d old town ...
Location. The hostal is located in the centre of Madrid. Very helpful staff and clean rooms. Price. One of the best budget hotels I've stayed at.
Location and value for money
Lovely, friendly staff. Fantastic location.
Good price, clean, and close to Mercado San Miguel
It's great location Good service Value for money
Great location, easy to fine, cozy room and staff was very kind and trying to help me out.
Wifi wasn't able to do anything with my phone.
Everything was PERFECT!! we'll definitely come back!
Location, room size, we got a room on the more quiet side
Not enough ventilation.
Close to the action (our interior room was quiet, too). Perfect place from which to explore the city on foot, but close to the Metro, too. Many food options from luxurious to cheap, on-the-go. The nearby streets have limited traffic (most are pedestrian only). San Miguel market is around the corner. Plaza Mayor is 100 feet away. Location, location, location.
Our interior room was uncomfortably warm at night. Another (departing) guest gave us a portable fan as we checked in. That helped. Open ALL of the windows at night. That will help, too.
Location in old Madrid and the helpfulness of the staff.
Good location, friendly personal
Really small room, no breakfast, wi fi is too slow
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Sure would stay again
Bigger room and bathroom than what I was expecting.. Excellent location for tourist travelers.
Friendly & helpful staff. Great location.
A little dated with very small windows looking out to dilapidated courtyard and others windows.
The location was great and the building characterful. We would recommend it to friends.
Those of us in the front of the Hostal found it to be far too noisy - the price you pay for being in a central location during The World Cup of course. Also, it is always nice to have breakfast on site if possible but we understood this to be to expensive but nice places nearly.
