Friendly staff - average room - good shower

Located at the absolute centre of Madrid's red light district. Girlie bars,Pimps & Prostitutes surround the Hotel. Constant Police presence!

All you need for a low cost stay in Madrid. Good location, clean room, safe in the room, baggage storage if you need to leave after the check out hours. At the middle of two metro stations Gran Via and Calao. Pc and printers are provided if you need to print anything( tickets and boarding cards). I may say it is more Hotel than Hostal.

Location, nice staff, room decor, free wifi, very nice comodities room with computers, sofas, hd tv...

The window didn't catch enough sunlight, the pillows were hard, can't control the air conditioner and shower with nowhere to place shampoo, soap, etc

Very helpful staff, always here to answer your questions and to give you advice for non touristic restaurants. Hotel is situated 2 min walk from Gran Via, and Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol are reachable in 10-15 min walk max. And other main shopping street is also 5 min away.

Few prostitutes are down the street, but they don't disturb you. Full price for single room (eur 85.-/night as displayed at the counter) would be too expensive. The deal I had (around eur 40.- /night) definitely worth it.

Was very noisy first night as could hear everything in rooms either side.

The hotel is very clean and it looks like a three stars hotel. Location is very cool, just two buildings away from Gran Vía. Price is great, I only paid 34Eur for a sgl room.

The price-quality ratio was excellent. The Hostal is very clean and in a central area. Wi fi is available in the room.

The staff was not very helpful regarding tourist orientation.

Rooms were nice and big enough. Very clean and a good working shower. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Great location!

Earplugs are a MUST! With the many bars and cafes nearby it was very noisy for most of the Friday and Saturday night and early hours of the morning. The walls are thin so when the neighbours come home you'll definitely know about it! With earplugs, nothing else matters. There are quite a few prostitutes just outside the hostel. We didn't find this a problem as we (2 girls) never felt threatened or unsafe but people might want to be made aware of that in advance.

Very close to Sol, clean, comfortable, friendly desk staff, for £30 per night I really couldn't have asked for more.

The hotel is really clean and the location is just 7 minutes walk to gran via and the metro callo.

The reception is not 24 hour so if you have something in the evening you have to give them a call and the internet connection is not really working.

The staff was so awesome. Very friendly and helpful. Everything was super clean and modern.

The wall are to where everything can be heard of you neighbors, and the cleaning staff can be heard as everything echoes. Not a problem while you awake, but when jet lagged, it can be annoying.

The staff were wonderfull, the bed comfy, the shower was powerfull. Extra pillows were available and the room was quiet. We had a very good stay.

The street where the hotel is located is really bad: full of prostitutes and there is too much noise !!! I coudl not sleep at all.... Everything is good there, the room are perfect but there is too MUCH noise at night !!!

Nice hotel staff

Location isn't the best. Didn't always feel comfortable walking to & from hotel due to prostitutes in the short stretch from Gran Via.

Good size comfortable modern room. Pleasant lounge area. Situated in a lively location with trendy cafes and just off the Gran Via.

If you don't like prostitutes on your doorstep this may not be the place for you. The TV had very few channels in English.

Although in the center of the city, it's quiet during the night. Wonderful room. Everything clean.

Very helpful and friendly staff, good location, set just a few roads away from Gran Via so not noisy but close to everything. Clean and tidy and good value.

Only problem was the water in my shower didnt drain quick enough so water would accumulate during shower which is something I dislike. However this was my only complaint. Everything else was great.
