Location was amazing
It was too noisy
The location is in the heart of the old town with some great pintxo bars on the same street. Rooms were immaculate and well soundproofed from the street. The host very kindly helped us find a garage to have our car fixed whilst there.
Not the hotels fault, but due to their beautiful wooden floors, it is very easy to hear the person in the next room walking up and down (seemingly continuously) on high heels. At all hours.
The pillow and nois.
It's worse than it looks like in the pictures. The furniture is quite old and the rooms are very small. I didn't like the fact that they kept our passport until checking out, I would have prefered to pay in advance instead. Poor quality/price relationship.
The hostal is located in the old city of Bilbao - very close (couple of minutes walk) to the river, the food market, the cathedral, the archeological museum, the Basque museum, to many bars, to the train stations, to tramway (10 minutes with the tramway to the Guggenheim museum) etc. Our room was small, but very nice and cosy. The owner is very helpful and generally a nice person. It is possible to book a slot in an underground parking just across the corner.
To bright to sleep
Perfect location. Very nice and helpful staff. Value for money.
Nice and friendly stuff. Room was clean. If you want a small clean room on a but get and no talk to others that could be your choice.
Dark. A too big bed for very small single room. Shared bathroom not clean. No soap there... Didn't want to use the shower... No common space as in pictures suggested. Very light walls. You can here a lot through the walls (clairaudient?)! If you want a communicative place and if you like light. Also a place to relax than try something else.
Stayed for six nights and really enjoyed our stay. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Excellent location.
Rooms are small and doors very noisy. Still good value for the price.
Good location if you want to enjoy the city centre.
During the Semana Grande (August), expect noise till late at night (1 am), and especially in the morning. No breakfast. The shower was clean but not so comfortable (you have to hold it with your hand all the time)
Central location In the middle of the touristic narrow streets. Close to metro, restaurants, shops, cathedral, museums and riverside. We got a large room (11) on second floor with two queen size beds.
Hard to find it. No real reception. Had to ring a bell to get in and knock some doors before we found a person who could register us and give us the keys. Little knowledge of English. Very noisy at night, partly because of the fiesta going on while we were there.
The host offered us a better room. Possible to breethe.
Dirty handkerchiefs. Delivered that way from the laundry, we were told.
Rooms were okayish, but for a budget hotel this is good.
Location, accomodation, useful info and flyers on reception
No lift, loudness from the street during night
Location in the old town
Bathroom could have been cleaner
Good location in heart of old town
Noise on corridor outside room
Location and it was clean! The staff were friendly!
The squeaky floorboards!! Bed not comfy, and just one bedside lamp. Could have replaced the shower gel we used too. Not value for money at all, but I think in general all accommodation prices in the north of Spain are generally overpriced! The staff were nice, but when we asked for his advise on going by bus or train from Bilbao to San Sebastian, he recommended going by train...although it was longer, the sea views would be worth it!! There was no sea views at all...I don´t think he had been on the train to San Sebastian before!
Best location, very confortable and clean, welcoming and helpfull staff. A great place to stay!
Nothing to say.
Brilliant location and very helpful staff
the position is fantastic, in the middle of the "Casco Viejo"
it was not to much cleen
Great location for exploring Bilbao.
Hard to find. But we were only passing through on the way back to UK. Probably much better if you are looking for a cheap place to stay a few days and exploring Bibao. It was a little noisy, the TV didn't work and the bed was uncomfortable.
I like the location itis in and old city which is easy to see touristic place and easy to find some food to eat 'n drink.
Superb location! Helpful staff. Wi-Fi in all areas, free of charge!
There is no kitchen room!
Friendly staff. Host don't speak English, but understood us and tried to help us! GREAT location - near Cathedral. Wi-Fi is strong. Clean.
I think that price can be lower! Kitchen was absent!
