Hostal Mirentxu  

Once you get up to the third floor where the Hostal is located, the building is beautiful inside. Marble floors, spotless rooms, almost palace-like. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff friendly and competent. The location is great. A short walk to all the excitement of Sol, but far enough away to be peaceful. Loads of really good restaurants between the Hostal and Sol. Easy access to Metro. Just a great place.

On the third floor, and elevator is very small. But it was never a problem.

It was very confortable and clean,in the center of Madrid near everything, Sol, Gran Via, Prado etc... Very good conditions for the price.

You can hear very easily the rooms next to you.

Clean, in the city centre. The personnel was really nice and helpful. It was warm in my room (something uncommon in Spanish hostels during winter).

During my 12 days trip all over Spain I spent almost every single night in different place and this hostal was the best one. It was clean, warm (surprisingly, it was winter cold outside), with nice atmosphere and very helpful and friendly staff. Location is also great, in the very heart of Madrid, just a few steps away from Puerta del Sol, at the same time on the quiet street. For this price the place is just perfect.

So far the best hostal i've been. Really cheap with the prize, but the place is very comfortable, clean, the staff is nice and kind. The place is less than 5 minutes by walking from Puerta del Sol. Absolutely recommended.

The hostel is perfect! Budget friendly yet not quality compromised! Location is awesome, 3mins walk to the nearest metro (Seville) and 5mins walk to the Madrid central district (Sol). 5mins walk to the major art museums. Located at the 3rd floor of the building which has a lift. Staffs speaks good english and are really friendly. Opened the doors and allowed me to leave my luggage early in the morning at around 630am as i have arrived in Madrid by a night bus. Told me to come back at 9am to try my luck and true enough, i got checked-in at 9am! Room is just right for a solo-traveller. My room is close to the reception and has great WiFi connection. And what i love most about the hostel is the shared bathroom. The shower is amazing. Water pressure is perfect, temperature is perfect, space is perfect and is cleaned very often, towers replaced. Definitely recommended!

Nothing. Really. Everything is perfect and more than what you can ask for for the price.

Laura is very friendly. The room is clean and have enough space compared with the price. The hostal is really quiet.

The location was great, very close to both Madrid's downtown (Puerta del Sol), and Prado Museum. Also it turns out that there are lots of great and inexpensive tapas bars and restaurants just a few blocks away.

The bed could have been more comfortable, but it was completely acceptable.

I liked location, staff and very comfortable beds :)

Sometimes it was cold inside of the room. Maybe it is a problem of a bigger room because in smaller room it was fine.

I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Mirentxu. Especially the very friendly and happy staff (esp. Laura and team) were really helpful and warmhearted. Room was clean, big and like expected. Had a good rest there, it wasn't noisy at all. The price/ value relation was very o.k. for a location which is in 10 min. reach by foot to the Prado, Sol (middle of town), and kings palace and other seightseeing spots. thanks anf greatings to the team from Hotel Mirentxu! People were very nice and very helpful. Location was perfect if you wanted to visited museums..minutes walk from the prado and thyssen.

Location is excellent. Price was good and hostel was very clean and welcoming.

Was difficult to locate. My fault though. Should have printed a map!

The staff were very helpful. We arrived early and were able to check into our room, which was much appreciated after an overnight train trip! The location is right near sol railway station and walking distance to all major sights. Our room was nice, comfortable bed and our own. Anth room. I would definitely stay again on my return to Madrid.

great value for money, central location, clean with great facilities, not so busy and plenty of space for all guests. you get clean towels and they can be changed on daily basis if requested, so great service!

walls are quite thin and no air conditioning in the room i was staying, but again for the price, you cannot really expect much more

Hostal is really run by owners, thats an exeption in Madrid. Very good location, close Metro Sevilla, quiet, no street noise. Spotless clean. Very wellcoming and professional staff! I will return whenever in Madrid. Highly recommended.

Location was very near the city centre and near to all the major metro stations. Abundance of good restaurants located nearby as well.

There were no fans or air conditionong during our stay there. It was about 35 degrees celcius and we were boiled in the room with very little ventilation. Also, because our room was near a congress building, we could not use the internet except in the living room.
