Having returned from our trip to Seville, this is to inform you that were we less than satisfied with our accommodation at the Hostel Monet. I would like to make an official complaint about your service and the service provided by the Hostal. We requested a double bed as it was our Wedding anniversary and of course that is what we prefered. I see that Booking.com made several attempts at e-mailing the hostal, to which neither we nor yourselves recieved a response. On arrival we found that the hostel has NO DOUBLE BEDS, but only single beds. This was very disappointing from our point of view and effectively ruined our trip. My wife was very upset and the Hostel showed no interest at all in our request or in showing us any assistance. When we arrived at our assigned room, not only was it miniscule, but was absolutely filthy. I appreciate that this was a 2 star hostel, but I know 1 star accommodation which is cleaner and more professional. The sink was leaking and the floor dirty. The beds had hair on them and the room generally stunk of sewage. The television also did not work. (Although it looked about 20 years old anyway). Our complaints were basically ignored on every occasion. Book here at your peril!

it is located in 'el centro', in the most central part of the city and one can reach every corner of seville by foot. It is a small but modern and clean hostal. Definitely high value for money

the rooms are small and you can easily hear noises coming from adjacent rooms.

We booked the small room but it really was too small for comfort. Had to climb over the beds to get to the balcony. Could not sit in front on the mirror.

The location and price. The location is very good!

First lived on the 4 floor (n 400), there was very bad smell from the bathroom, then because of no WiFi on the 4 floor, - went to a room (n 2005) on the 2 floor. There was bad WiFi but no bad smell but very noisy from the street all over each night. The bathrooms in both rooms are very bad.

Excellent price, charmingly decorated, great location. Front desk staff was excellent, helpful, organized, and professional. Easy check-in/check-out, and they had a taxi ready for us at 0500 to get to the airport timely.

Central location, easy access, room was sort of OK looking.

Room was fairly small and tight thougn, so not appropriate for a long term comfortable stay. No usable table with chair, petit closet. Basically it is a bed and shower. Isolation / door to the hall is bad, so you can pretty much hear everything very well to the room. The bathroom unfortunately provided with some very unpleasant smells, so the whole room was stinking pretty badly. No option of opening a window, since it faced the interior (small, dark, closed) courtyard to which exhausts from the near-by restaurant lead, so it was either the bathroom odor or the smell of frying oil. Though there was an AC in the room, no air-conditioning remote, so could not regulate the temperature or vent the room. Going to the bathroom at night, my friend saw a cockroach-like animal running from the bathroom to the hall underneath the door. Based on photos and reviews, this hotel was an unpleasantly bad surprise.

Location

This is a basic hostal in good location. Lack of hotel car parking lead to use a handy public parking - but expensive!

Excellent location, nice and friendly Hotel, very well cared. Surely, an excellent and easy solution, furthermore if we consider its low fares.

The position, near to Plaza Nueva, is very strategic. It has all the confort an hostel can have.

Beds in the whole hotel were single beds which is very unconfortable for a couple.

Position is near the palace. But room is a little small.

The city location was perfect and I enjoyed the quiet of the inner city and it was within walking distance of all the attractions of Sevilla!

As with most hotels, I think pillows should be replaced more often as they are normally very uncomfortable.

Great position, comfort, budget.

We booked it as the "special of the day" and the price was ridiculous, I was aprehensive that it was going to be a dump but since we were only staying overnight we decided to risk it. The Hostal is not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination but the location was nice, the beds were confortable, the air condition worked fine, (it was over 100 that day!) and it was clean. For what we paid we could not ask for more!

The room was very clean every day of my staying, all in good condition! The location of Hotel is just perfect!

Nothing, absolutely nothing. The staff was not really rude but not helpful and many of our requests were simply answered with "no". We were not allowed to make any phone calls, collect nor toll-free calls as we had problems with another hotel reservation and credit card and the staff was horrible. Had to finally go to tourist office to find phone codes to call us collect and I had to figure it out myself. That was not a good travel experience and took about 4 hours of my day. I was on vacation and had to devote an entire afternoon to this. A little helpful information about how to make calls from a phone booth would have been very helpful but it did not happen and the staff attitude was less than helpful. They did not clean our room one day because we "slept too late" according to the desk staff. I had to cajole them into giving me fresh towels, a pillow and glasses to drink from. They were very condescending and more than lazy. It was not about language as we speak five languages between us. I would not stay there again nor recommend it. I would give this hotel and f-. We have used Booking.com a number of times but would reconsider using it again. One bad experience such as this negates many positives.

It's location, just north of Plaza Neuva, for which it was chosen for, was its strongest suit. Everything else was reasonable and as expected.

Great location and quite modern

The smell in the toilets was bad! I think they had problem with drains at the hotel so it smelt everywhere

Petites chambres et mini salles de bain, ce qui, bien sûr ne se voit pas lorsque l'on consulte le site.
