the noise from outside... The windows are not soundproof
Hotel is well located Personel are nice Rooms are clean
Rooms small and toilet smaller
The view from the window, look once...
Not bad for 29/night. Don't be misled by 'hostal' you get an ensuite room, nothing more. The room and bathroom were satisfactory, clean and private fairly quiet.
Corridor a bit noisy in the morning when another guest walk by
Good Location, good wifi connectivity, room was renewed recently, specially the bathroom, good for a city-break
It gets loud in the night, there are a couple of restaurants nearby so if you have light sleep - definitely take ear plugs with you.
Clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, localized near metro. Helpfull staff. They answer emails :)
Everything is too small (but really), walls colours awful (blood red or green). Everything is really old. Our Room was without window. I would never come back.
Location is really good.
A bit small room but manageable
Everything was good!
The noisy road
The staff was very kind and available!
High class hostel in the deep heart of Madrid, room small but elegant, clean and well equipped. We will come back without any doubt
Impossible to sleep, too much noise people walking in and out, or talking in other rooms, you can hear everything. Bath is like lottery, you may or may not have hot water, its all about your luck
Comfort of hostels in Spain should be equal to hostels in other countries in Europe: a common kitchen or at least an electric kettle and two mugs with spoon in a room is a must: not every tourist wants to eat breakfast in a restaurant.
I like nice service, free wi-fi, wide bed, tiny but nice bedroom. The hostel is next to noisy bars, but it makes you feel more in the center of live in Madrit. In Poland we say: "A life like in Madrit!" - which means: fantastic, crazy, full.
Car park a bit difficult to find and although we were told hotel had a deal with them, we were charged full price, which was very expensive. We had to leave early in the morning, so had no chance to query this.
The hotel was in an excellent position for sightseeing. Easy for us to find in the car, although Madrid is a very busy place.Lots of shops, restaurants & bars around. Room a bit small, but adequate for our needs.
Too small bed
Very noisy! But it's to be expected.
Amazing location and decent hostel for a very cheap price. Definitely worth it if you're in Madrid to have fun and be out and about, without spending much time at home. Room was quite small, but the shower was big and the bed was comfortable.
Central location down a quiet street. Friendly staff and rooms very clean. Strong WiFi signal.
Noisy at night
This is an excellent place to stay if you are trying to know the main places of Madrid. The rooms are small but still comfortable
The building is old and the view is not good if you are on the inner side. You can here everything and everybody around.
Location of the hotel, check in flexibility, you can leave your luggage and pick it up later, bathroom, the price is fair for what you get.
The bathroom was not like in the pictures available on booking.com, much lower standard. The rooms were dark (little light enters through the window). The doors of the rooms didn't stay closed with handle (you had to close it with the key from the inside in order to have privacy).
Hostel is located in the centre of Madrid, very close to metro, Puerta del Sol and other touristic places. Rooms are small but the space is well organised. The staff was kind and helpful but sometimes hard to reach (reception is not open 24h).
We left a message through booking.com to advise us the location of their parking, but no response. This meant we spent some stressful time driving through centre of Madrid in a one-way system and down streets full of pedestrians. You cannot pull up outside the hostel. There is underground parking at the top of the street but we had a height restriction (roof box) and found it difficult to find parking over 1.8m in city centre. We used a garage on the next street that cost a whopping €25 a day!
Great location not far from Puerta del Sol and centre. Room was compact but very clean and cosy. Staff were nice.
Room didn't look like on the pictures at all.
Perfectly situated in order to discover all important sights within a short 2 days trip.
Central location clean good showers price friendly
The Hostal has two sides: one is restored (the photos are from that one) and the other is quite dreary. Our room was on this side, maybe because of the deal here on Booking. The worst part is that there are few discos under the rooms. On Friday the music went on till 8:30am! It was impossible to sleep for it and drunken people singing and shouting. I had to sleep 4 more nights with earplugs.
The position is absolutely perfect and it's very cheap.
the fact that when you book and the check out time is from 11 am TILL 11 pm..we had to leave early because someone else was coming in our room. Disgusting..and we had to stay outside with our luggages..stranded, waiting for time to pass to get our flight.
