If you want to rough it, drunken student vibe, go here. If you want a bit more class/sleep this is not for you. The price would indicate this of course. Also fire safety was not considered when making this building. Quite a concern up there on the 3rd floor.

Great location, the day-time staff was so kind and nice. You'll get what you've paid for.

The night time staff was terrible. That guy was never sober. Room isn't soundproof at all. Funny smell in the room.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days. The staff member we had during the day for 3 of those 5 days was very helpful and spoke English quite well.

Where to start! If you can't be bothered reading this, just read my summary at the bottom. The room was so small, it would have struggled to fit a dwarf in the triple room we had! The building was old and run down. The bathroom was so small you could barely sit on the toilet seat comfortably. Worst of all however, were the rest of the staff members. None of them spoke English... at all! Although we tried to be polite by greeting them and asking if they spoke English in Spanish, they'd just start rambling off in Spanish. One staff member in particular however, was the worst person I have ever met in my life! Never were we informed that we could not have guests visit our room. Yet when I attempted to bring a friend home he wouldn't let me in. I tried to ask him why and he told me to shut up, clearly I got upset at his response and he starts speaking to me in French!! (I speak English, Greek and Italian fluently and basic Spanish incase I sound like and arrogant prick that expects everyone to speak English fluently). The next night I kept the key as I was walking out and he chased me and grabbed me to get the room key off me. Summary: DO NOT STAY HERE... EVER!!

Our stay at the hotel was pretty good. The staff was helpful and nice. The location is awesome, you are 3 minutes off La Rambla. The staff speaks moderate English.

The room is old, with all the consequences. We had to switch rooms because our a/c was leaking water. That was handled well though.

location, near Rambala and in the same time cheap shops around. good aircondition and WIFI, the morning staff was great and very welcomed. shared WC not bad relativly with other hostels. good TV channels "only one English out of 100"

The night shift guy can't speak any English Word. the stairs is difficult and way after first floor is strange. how ever the room is the best thing and good for such vaue of money, I will go there again.

The hotel is located in a great spot, very close to La Ramblas street. The wifi is excellent and there is 24/7 front desk service.

The shared bathroom was filthy. The floor of our room was very dirty, constantly having to wipe off our feet. The AC was so cold and the remote control didn't work. When we asked the front desk for assistance he agreed but never did anything about it. We only had a sheet to sleep with and froze the three nights we were there.

-All the staff was really nice. -We had a tv, wi-fi, mini fridge and air conditioned. -There was a woman who cleaned the rooms everyday and traded the towels. -Very good location.

-The window was broken, it wouldn't lock when closed.

governess was a nice woman. night guy on reception was helpful with my night fights with a mouse in my room.

I was visited by mice a few times whilst in my room. After some communication issues with the receptionist, the rodent was removed on both occasions. I also feel that the location could've been more clearly specified as I was more remote than I'd anticipated. The louver on the window was problematic leaving me to create my own system. Lastly, I was expecting an email at the hotel address, but issues arose when nobody had a password to it.

Location was perfect. Central to the main sites for tourists

Public domains such as bathrooms were of low cleanliness largely due to there being a single bathroom for each floor

Good location, clean. Small refrigerator in the room, very useful. Shower in the room, worked good. Air conditioner in the room. Small shops and food stores very close. You can have breakfast just around the corner, on Rambla del Raval.

A bit noisy during the night. Double bed small and not comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay there. It felt like home within the first hours. Bed was comfortable! Wifi was very good! Highly recommended!

The location of the hostal is a bit insecure. The street there is scary at night. Be aware of the pick-pockets.

Value for money. Decent room with basic amenities.

The air conditioner in the room was leaking which was bit annoying. The water pressure in the washbasin was very low. Clean up the ventilation area. It was so disgusting to look over the room window and see loads of garbage lying and mosquitoes buzzing all around.

Very nice place to stay, in the old centre of Barcelona. Friendly staff. Rooms cleaned every day with new towels (though the dust on the wardrobe was left untouched), comfortable bed and free, well accesible WiFi. Walk out the door and you can get your breakfast anywhere within a half-mile radius. It's a good starting point for sightseeing, or just strolling around in the different parts of the old city.

Line up for the toilet in the morning, since there isn't one in your room. Neighbourhood feels slightly uncomfortable, when walking back in the late evening.

The rooms were clean. The location was excellent- just down the street from La Rambla!

Although the room had a shower and sink the toliet was down the hall.
