Unclean room, found a number of hairs in the bathroom, on the floor and in the bed. It didn't look like the photos either.
- the staff Lourdes is very kind and good - we extend more than 12PM but the staff is very kind to understand our situation - the free wi fi - the room is new and nice - the toilet is very nice -with lift
Where it is located is easy to get everywhere
Sick on the stairs leading up to hotel, you need a reward on arrival as it is so difficult to find, door did not lock, no heating, hairs in the bed, didn't want to use the shower. Cheap if u want somewhere just to keep your stuff and not spend any time in there.
Old facilities, below average but acceptable cleanliness level and staff didn't speak English but was helpful
Strategic location right at the city centre near Puerta del Sol and have easy access to metro. They have microwave although there is no kitchen.
Although the location is near metro, the hostel is hard to find because the entrance is not noticeable, it's a small entrance lot with no signage at all, just a small letters on the entrance door. We asked around and got lucky we saw the entrance door. The alley where the hostel is located is noisy at night till early morning as there are cafes and people hanging around. And the wifi is frustrating, they give passwords but all of them are not working and the staff are not able to help. The bathroom is shared but sometimes the heater is not working and have to wait for sometime.
I think the location of this Hostel is superb as it is a stone away from the heart of Madrid.
A couple of things that must be improved: * Cockroaches in the bathroom. Huge ones. * The internet routers must also be changed. They used those provided by the company. These work awful. They must invest in qualify especially considered that it will handle many conections simoultaneously. * I do not think it is a good idea to charge 1 euro for keeping your luggage @the cleaning room until 21 after checking out.
location, convenient , good price
Weak wifi connection
Cleanliness wifi suphocated noisy non cooperative no safety
Location is very good, just minutes away from Sol metro station
The room we had with a very small "double" bed. Toilet is too small to turn. Very noisy.
Location good and The rooms were great .
Found it hard to find Hostal and when I found it hard to access Building. No sign on intercom system to say which button was Hostal .
The walls seemed to be as thin as paper as you could listen to every noise outside, and the room was too small.
Good location right in the centre and good value rooms! Would happily stay here again
Very well located:) personal very helpful!
The rooms needed to be cleaner, found a couples of hairs on bed linen and dust on floor and members of the stuff too noisy!
Location is perfect. Few minutes walk to the main square. Kind staff. Very safe hostel.
Just for 1 minute from Puerta del Sol, this is a perfect hostel for everyone. Also there is a drink machine outside the room. The staff is nice.
Wifi doesn't work in the rooms. In the double bed for 2 people there is only 1 big pillow.
Location was fantastic. Easy to find from Sol Metro/Cercanias station. Local facilities (supermarkets, cash machines, cafes) were excellent. Hotel staff were very friendly. Air conditioning was very effective.
Constant noise within the hotel, from either staff or other guests. This became irritating and prevented a good night's sleep. Inside room without a window which could be rather claustrophobic.
The location of the hostal is perfect, just 2 min walk from Sol Square. The room and the bathroom were clean. The bed was comfortable. We had a hair dryer, one towel per person, 2 bunches of keys per room. There is wifi in the reception. You can find maps and other flyers at the reception desk. I would recomand this hostel.
They say there is free wifi in all rooms but there isn'T. We had a quadruple room with private bathroom and we asked for an extra bed. The rooms are small - we had just a few space between beds and where to keep our luggage. There is no wardrobe or cupboard. The bathroom was also small. There was a lot of noise because of reparing works. The stuff speaks only Spanish. After check-out we wanted to leave our luggage at the luggage store for 2 hours. We had to pay 1 euro per piece of luggage.
Location was ideally located in the center. Also, it was very secure - maybe a bit too secure with all the doors and keys. Rooms were simple but in a good way: bed, flatscreen, air conditioner.
Language barrier. Staff doesn't seem to have any sort of flair for speaking English - but in the end I got all I needed.
The location couldn't be better. It is really cheap, so you really get where you pay for.
There was a dead coackroach laying on the floor in the hallyway for 2 days without someone cleaning it. The door to some rooms was broken so it was very hard to open it and enter our room (they repaired it now). There was no one after midnight at the reception.
near the city
the air-conditioner is not cold at all..very very hot..and down stair was so noisy
The walls are very thin
The location was central and close to everything. The staff were friendly.
The hostel was extremely noisy, mainly due to central location, there was activity 24hours right outside my window, meaning I suffered with lack of sleep. The staff didn't speak any English which posed as a problem when I needed help with something. The biggest fault of the hostel was the lack of kitchen, making my trip more expensive than first planned. They also charged a fee for leaving bags, something I haven't experienced when staying in a hostel before.
Was easy to find, the staff was very helpful in changing my booking because I was late, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and worked well, and the wifi was free also. Check in and check out were at very reasonable times also.
Good location! Close to museums and city center. They have bike's for good price
Very bad Wi-fi
