everything fine for this price!
The location for hotel is excellent near to all shopping centers and metro station
The hotel breakfast is too poor and must work more in that point also no free internet in room which is not acceptable
Good location. Old style spacy rooms, even french balcony. Reception is in the 2nd floor, guests always have to stop there, a little bit inconvenient but glad there's a small elevator still in good condition.
Nobody speaks English in the hotel. The 3 receptionists very unfriendly & clean maids so rude while we took out trashcan for them around 10am during their cleaning. No wifi in room, which isn't stated when reserved months ago. No power supply apart tv set. Small & slippery bathroom, extremely smelly toilete, hot water not hot enough, dirty & moldy shower curtain in bathtub. No heating even only 10 degree C on 2014/10/15. very noisy. The safe in the room but not free at all. Crummy beds & everything a little run down, not as romantic as in web pictures. Late check-out needs extra charge.
I really liked the rooms and the bed is well comfortable.
I didn't like the one hour free WIFI system. Basically, the hotel has an hour of free WIFI and if you want internet for longer than an hour you have to buy. It's so sad that on the hotel advert its written that free WIFI available but WIFI is only free for an hour.
I only liked the location.
I did not like the receptionist who charged us 60 more Euro's because we did a mistake during filling the booking application, we mentioned 1 guest name in the app because we thought it will be considered 2 person (the applicant and 1 guest) the receptionist said there is only one guest mentioned and we have to pay more although there are 2 names in the booking form, the applicant name and the guest name. we got ripped off by the receptionist
Nice staff, good size of the rooms, Best location in Madrid, u can walk to every point of the city. Confartable beds. The price is very fair.
No air conditioner in the room, makes in the summer u have to open the window, so the rooms to gran via are noisy. No free wifi in the room. Only in reception until 23 o clock.
We liked very much the excelent location, the staff attentions. All the stores, the public transport facilities, many restaurants in the vecinity and other services like pharmacies, souvenirs, etc
The bath shower is difficult to use, because the shower support was loose. And there is the risk of falling, specialy for old persons. The area for the WC is too tight. The staff changed the blankets only when we requested it
The location is very good, it's in the center of Madrid, the view was beautiful from the room, and the staff was very kind. There were always hot water in the bathroom, and I liked the breakfast too.
Nobody speaks english in the hotel, and the reception is in the 2nd floor, so we always had to stop there, it was a little bit unconvenient.
Location. Right off the Gran Via, one block from the Metro.
A little run down. No wifi in rooms. Old crummy beds. Bathroom accommodations were a little run down, but on par with the price. Breakfast consisted of a lemon muffin, 2-slices of toast, crackers, tang & stale coffee.
large safe in the room. desk was a big help Great location
Lousy breakfast, opt out if you can. clean but kind of dingy?
Huge room and hall. I felt like I’m in the palace when we got in. It is clean and comfortable to rest. Perfect location. It is right in the center. Few steps to walk to metro station. Very reasonable price. I recommend.
We liked the location
Too much noise at night from outside. Breakfast very poor. The three receptionists who work in turns were very unfriendly and do not understand a word in English. For a phonecall in Madrid just to confirm booking of taxi they charged me 3 Euros.
Location wonderful, quiet although so central, staff helpful, excellent rooms. I liked everything a lot apart from breakfast.
I chose a place that did breakfast as i was travelling with my 80 year old mother, and I thought it would be easier, but the juice and coffee were poor, the toast and cake were OK, and if I revisited I would go out for breakfast. Everything else was wonderful.
Recommend for anyone wants nice & cheap hotel. It's right on the heart of Madrid, next to all the tapas, shops, plaza.. In front trains station Gran via. Easy to commute to/from airport. Would stay again. BB++
Wifi shut off at 11pm, should stay on 24.
Personnel was kind
Bathroom and room not properly clean both at entrance and daily. Extreemly noisy due to location on a main road Breakfast very limited, no fruit, no fresh meals, only few industrial products. Very old rooms, no supply apart the tv set, not even a power supply in a convenient position. Bathroom was private but not inside the room, although this was NOT specified.
Old style spacy rooms, even french balcony. You can feel yourself secure, 24 hour reception and a porter downstairs.
Typical spanish hostal breakfast, just simple toast with coffee. But the staff serving the toast were always smiling and friendly, though...
Location was great. Off a main busy street, but not too secluded. Not noisy too
The heating really wasn't enough. Bathroom was a bit slippery. I worried for my mom.
wi-fi facilitiy is not promising at all :(
