Location Changing towels every day Friendly Stuff Very clean room
Small bed for two person
better than a hostel, looks like a mini hotel. In the room there was a toilet and shower. Every day cleaning. Service at a very good level. Close to the city center.
noisy on the streets at the evenings. no air conditioner. very far from the sea,we are ride only on subway. There is no WI-FI in the rooms, only on reception. It is very big minus for young people.
pretty good location nothing more
very old furniture and decoration, wireless-downstairs only, photos don't reflect reality, no parking
Nice staff, clean. Free wifi in the lobby.
radio in the room
very noisy at night
Location is good. And nice big switch to turn on cheesy radio station in every room.
The staff do their very best to make you forget you are in Spain by trying to speak English all the time to every customer, because they want to practise. This annoys those of us who speak good Spanish. e.g. I heard one guy explaining (in Spanish) that he was half Chilean, and he really did speak Spanish. The walls between the rooms are thin, so you can hear everything in the rooms next to you and the corridor. The pillows are very hard.
close to center, clean, room service every day
wi-fi only in lobby, very small bathroom
staff was kind.
no wifi in the rooms. very very very small lift. the hostal is very old and not good compared with its price. location was fine but not wonderful.
Location - could walk to all places of interest in historic area Security - everyone entering was monitored - keys left at desk Clean towels and bed made-up every day Desk staff helpful and friendly Clean, well run establishment
Ineffective fan in the july heat
David at reception wonderful good value for the price safe area fan in room
Location Price Stuff Accessibility
Proximity to the city centre and to the underground stations.
Very tiny spaces, corridors, little old elevator. Rooms very simplistic. Wifi captured only at the ground floor near the reception desk. Not cleaned every day. Poor shampoo and shower gel and not replaced every day. In my opinion bad price/comfort ratio and we had that room only because at the last moment there were very few hotel available.
Elevator too small and old mechanism, you have to manually close and open two set of doors. Everytime you want to leave the hostel you have to leave the keys on the front desk and after when you return you have everytime to ring a bell so they can open the door. After you have to ask the keys for the room. This is not a pleasant procedure for the guests, to do this everytime. Inside the room you only have one electrical supply and it isn't near the bed (not counting the one that TV is connected). You have one more on the bathroom.
No wifi in the room.
You get all you need: a bed, shower, toilet for a fair price. Staff was polite.
Excellent and kins reception (Serjio), good location near center
very small bed for two, small room
Nice staff, very good location! By walking through the small streets on the way to la rambla you can find a lot of lovely restaurants and bars.
Bathroom was wet after taking a shower. no wifi in the room, only downstairs.
1. Located 15 min. away from Rambla street. 2. Unusial conception of radio in the ceiling (plays different music styles in the dependence of part of the day:)). 3. Friendly receptionist with knowledge of English and the the sence of humor gave us bottles of cold water as a present upon check in. 4. Small but very cosy rooms with different lighting options. We had a small nice balcony and a view on Spanish roofs.
1. No hair-dryer, shower tap was fixed so you cannot wash a particular part of your body, once you stand in a shower you are wet all over.:) Shower cap is needed. 2. A little bit loudly in the night time outside, I had earplugs so it was quite OK. 3. No breakfast option. 4. Wi-Fi only at the reception. Finally it was great for 2 stars!:)
Location, close to metro, bars and restaurants nearby. Thick curtains so nice and dark if you want to sleep in
No fan or aircon so hot in summer and if you leave the windows open it can get very loud.
No air-conditioning，the room is small
exellent for money
clean, friendly staff
Friendly approachable staff, hostal was always accessible whether it was 2pm or 2am. Towels changed and room cleaned every day.
Not a huge negative but only 1 powersocket in the bedroom with 1 in the bathroom making using electrical equipment dangerous.
It's not fancy but it meets all your basic needs at a good price. It's very clean, the personnel is very friendly and it's placed in a central position so if you want you can visit many attraction points by foot. Good access to subway, bus, tourist bus and aerobus lines.
The employees at front desk were very helpful and gave us a lot of information about the city, directions, etc.
The location is in a shady neighbourhood, lots of noise, really not the best neighborhood in Barcelona. The big lock on the door and the security camera didn't help our first impression...The shower was so tiny I had to shower with the curtain open so i wouldn't touch the 2 walls and curtain at the same time... only one plug available in the entire room, good luck charging your cell phone and camera or other device.
