Location, 24h open reception, clean
Location is a win, price is quite adequate as well.
Low quality rooms (old school shower, scary shaft windows in bathroom, cheap and non-noise cancelling bathroom doors, mystical mirrors in size of a wall in the room), extra narrow lift.
VERY VERY NOISY, if you want to get sleepless night - welcome to hostal Radio,we could hear a zipper on the bag of the neighbors 1 floor down, WiFi is available only on the reception
Convinient location. Very hospitable Staff.
For those money everything is good
staff was really helpful spoke good english. Loved the radio in the room, it was novelty and nice. Location was good, close to the center and metro. Very basic, but for the money paid was good. Overall I would recommend the hotel to others
would be good to have wifi in the rooms. In order to protect bed mattress it was covered with something that made noise :)), could be changed with something more comfortable
Yellow towels that normaly are white, you need to leave the key from your room in the reception, no comfort
the staff were super friendly and professional. The location is excellent for everything. The room was old and adequate size but perfectly clean.
The room was very hot, and the wall mounted fan noisy and inefficient. The reception area was always full of tourists so you had to wait a while.
Great location. Friendly stuff. Cleaning every day. Comfortable bed.
There is no air conditioning and it was hot even in end of September.
Well located, confortable (much more than minimal), nice and nice and helpfull staff
SHOWER: Fixed, unconfortable shower head Has to be replaced by a flexible mobile shower head, , missing soap support
Location Changing towels every day Friendly Stuff Very clean room
Small bed for two person
Small, but nice place, with a really friendly and polite staff. My favourite was Mike, it was so good talking with him. :) The hostel is very clean, either the rooms, the bed sheet and the bathroom. We got fresh towels every day too. Great location: close to a big road, but in a small street, away from traffic noise (noise came from only people, but not more than in any other cities). 0-24 shop, other small shops, restaurants (even chinese, pakistanian or turkish ones), tapas bars, pubs, bus and metro lines in just a couple of minutes walk distance. I liked it there. :)
It would be a big jump in the comfort level if they had a kitchen, and a bit stronger wifi. :) And because of the nice hot weather we could use a fridge, but there were no problem. :)
The location Closed-circuit radio in the room which gives nostalgic atmosphere. Cleaning Balcony
No wi-fi in the rooms The doors of the main entrance are always locked and you should ring a Bell to Alert the staff each time when you enter the hotel. The elevetor, stairs, corridors are very narrow that you can hardly walk with a luggage/bag.
In Barcelona we couldn't find better value for the money, the Hostal is close to two main squares Universitat and Catalynia from which airport busses come and go. Rambla street is also not far away, as well as Barcelonetta beach which is 5-10 minutes drive in a taxi and 5 euros.
The surrounding area isn't nice looking, but it's safe
Not bad price, quit good location, very friendly staff who will help in any problem.
Only one socket for electric tools.
The workers are always very helpful and they offer 24 hours reception.
It is situated in a back alley of Barcelona - not safe at all when checking in at night or coming back to hostel late. No air conditioning, but cannot open the window either because of the bugs and birds. A bit expensive compared to the quality.
better than a hostel, looks like a mini hotel. In the room there was a toilet and shower. Every day cleaning. Service at a very good level. Close to the city center.
noisy on the streets at the evenings. no air conditioner. very far from the sea,we are ride only on subway. There is no WI-FI in the rooms, only on reception. It is very big minus for young people.
pretty good location nothing more
very old furniture and decoration, wireless-downstairs only, photos don't reflect reality, no parking
the location is good and the staff are nice and kind.
the bathroom is extra small and the shower is not suit for those who bring with small child
Nice staff, clean. Free wifi in the lobby.
radio in the room
very noisy at night
Location is good. And nice big switch to turn on cheesy radio station in every room.
The staff do their very best to make you forget you are in Spain by trying to speak English all the time to every customer, because they want to practise. This annoys those of us who speak good Spanish. e.g. I heard one guy explaining (in Spanish) that he was half Chilean, and he really did speak Spanish. The walls between the rooms are thin, so you can hear everything in the rooms next to you and the corridor. The pillows are very hard.
close to center, clean, room service every day
wi-fi only in lobby, very small bathroom
staff was kind.
no wifi in the rooms. very very very small lift. the hostal is very old and not good compared with its price. location was fine but not wonderful.
Location - could walk to all places of interest in historic area Security - everyone entering was monitored - keys left at desk Clean towels and bed made-up every day Desk staff helpful and friendly Clean, well run establishment
Ineffective fan in the july heat
