Hostal Ramos  

Location is great, just off the Ramblas between Liceu Opera House and the Boqueria Market with a metro stop (line 3) 1 minutes walk from the front door. Close to the Gothic Quarter, lots of eating places and shops. A great bakery a couple of doors down. Staff were friendly and helpful. Simple room (single bed with shower) but clean and quiet. Room facilities including a hair dryer and air con/heating unit which worked. Computer in common room with free wi-fi. Would stay here again.

Location

The room I was allocated was disappointing. The website said it would have a bath, balcony and be non-smoking. The bath was just a deep shower tray, the room faced inside onto a dull well and there was only a obscure glass screen - no balcony, no view and smelled of cigarette smoke!

Location and the staff. The night person was very helpful. It is a very friendly hotel.

Beds were not very comfortable. We didn't recieve clean glasses over the five day stay. The shower head mount didn't work.

Fantastic location just a few meters from las Ramblas near the metro Liceu. Very helpful and friendly staff. Basic room with en suite but very clean and tidied every day.

Location. Freindly staff. Gave me the room at 930 AM.room was very quiet and was cleaned every day. They also changed towels. There was extra blanket, hair drier telephon and ac. Balcony with view to the street. 24 hour reception free wi - they give password to guest. A very good and nice deal!!!!

Small and so important: dont have elavator but they do have elevator to baggage. Smoke smell at the corridor but not in the room. The water flow was thin in the shower. The forniture were old but the shower was renovated.

- Extremely good value for money, - excellent location in the city centre: just steps away from Las Ramblas, - security:hotel's main door locked at all times so no unwelcome strangers get inside, safe in the room, no problem coming back to the hotel in the middle of the night by yourself as there are always loads of people (local and tourists) passing by due to location - clean room,clean private bathroom with toilet,extra blankets, balcony, some hangers in the cupboards, clean sheets and towels, hair dryer, air con with heating - free wifi access in the room, - extra quick check-in and check-out, staff speaks english

Location is excellent!). Its not a hostel, it is a 2 stars hotel, clean and very good for ifs prices, no breakfast, but in a few steps from the hotel there is a best market i've ever seen - Boqueria, where you can eat best seafood and fruits fron 7 30 in the morning till 21 00 in the evening.

Good location - Rambla is in 50 meters. They DO have Wi-Fi.

The staff is not very professional and hospitable, and they change thrice a day. Some of them speak bad English, some do none. But still it was not a big problem. No breakfast.

Location is very good and easy to find as it is just off La Rambla and very close to a Metro Station. We arrived early and the staff were particularly friendly and helpful as they secured our bagage so we could tour the city and did the same the following day.

Rooms are good but look tired and are probably due refurbishment.

Very low end and very spartan. Check in was on second floor with no elevator. If you're elderly with heavy baggage would suggest you stay someplace else that has an elevator.

Location - close to public transport (Plaza Catalunya, metro Liceu), beaches (about 30m by foot to Barceloneta), shops and many tourist attractions (Rambla, Barri Gotic ect.). Rooms - too small but clean, towels changed every day. Free wifi!! But first of all you should go to Rita Blue (opposite the entrance to the hotel) and try the best Sangria ever with some tapas :)

Checking in... For 15 minutes Lady couldn't found any sign of our reservation... Noise - extremely noisy if you get a room above the street (fortunatelly we didn't have problem to change it).

The hotel does not look very much from the outside, but once you enter it is very cean, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very good location just off Las Ramblas

Awesome location, quiet (especially rooms looking to Calle de Jerusalem), cosy and cost-effective, 107 steps to La Rambla and aprox. 40 to the market... Would do there again.

Some of reception staff doesn't speak English, so if you don't understand Spanish, bring yourself at least basic words chart - just for the case :-)

The location of this Hostal is amazing , just near Liceu metro station and la Rambla street .

we had an issue in our room , since we had a lot of bugs although we have informed the staff about this who were really friendly but the Hostal was full and couldn't change our room . that was the case for 6 consecutive nights .our room was 210

Location, Location, Location!!! They have a computer for those who need internet access and free wifi in the rooms There's a hot and cold water machine so we were able to have hot water for our morning coffee and tea while we sat on the balcony and people watched They have a gentleman at the front desk who speaks excellent English and gave us a great recommendation for dinner

It advertises having a safe but it's attached to the key you have to turn in to the front desk every time you leave the room? Doesn't make any sense!

Small single room but had everything: bathroom, air con, TV, free wifi. located close to the touristy Ramblas but quiet after midnight. Close to a metro station.

Nothing but I'd need a bigger room for a longer stay.
