LOcation and the comfortable bed
brilliant localised just in the centre of the Old Town, few mnts by foots from Placa de Catalunya of Cathedral or La Rambla, close to bars, pubs, shops (supermarket with food on -1 level in El Corte Ingles), several mnts to the beach; helpful and polite staff
a bit dark room; smell of grass on every second street of the Old Town ;-)
Location is perfect and the quality of the hostel is great for the price
The hostel is located in a shopping street, which can be a bit noisy during the day, but after the shops close at 9pm, there are not so many people on the street. Overall the noise didn't bother us much.
staff really friendly:) hostel really near main street.
The location of the hostel is perfect if your looking for centric options. Apart frome cleaning, the only thing bad, the rest was nice.
The hostel is not so clean. We entered to the room, check the beds and saw they were dirty. Plus the room was not so clean neither.
close to the Cathedral
1) Price almost adequate to the quality, but better to pay some more and live in more comfortable conditions. 2) Located very close to metro Licei, La Catedral de la Santa Cruz y Santa Eulalia, placa catalunya, Rambla, seafront (15 min)
1) Bedbugs! It's awful! I've found some stings on my hand and neck, them are itching furiously and have been already remaining for 2 weeks now. 2) We had 3 nights here. The first one was in a very small room without windows!!! I've seen information about this in one of reviews of this hostel, and I asked when were booking hotel not to place us in such room. What is good, that, after we asked to move us in another room, the host fulfilled our wish next day. 3) Bad sound isolation. 4) Shared shower near the room without windows is also awful.
Friendly english speaking staff. Nice rooms. Extremely good location.
The location was awesome ,the hostel was cheep,it was in the heart of Barcelona however it was not noisy at night, for few days it was nice and clean most important.
the decoration needs seriuse update too old,and a kichen and fribge also would have been appreciated.
Hotel is in the good place in the center of the city.
the room was old, not clean, bad Shower, not enough shampoo.
Location (in the very centre in one of the streets of famouse Rambla). Hospitable staff, wi fi (though rather low).
Location Balcony onto street
Bathroom grimy Noise from street at night
It was very clean.
People working there don't speak good english neither spanish. The walls are too thin and it's difficult to sleep in the mornings
location is good
noisy - very thin walls the manager is very rude cannot lock the room where you leave your luggage after checking out wifi does not work all the time
The central position of the accommodation
The hotel is noisy, really cold and enough dirty
The location of the hostel is really good, it besides 100 m far from the La Ramblas. The staff is really kind and helpful.
The 'room' was a 3x3 m hole in the wall. There are no windows, no air, you can hear everything from the toilet and from the other rooms. The shared 'bathroom' is a wardrobe with a shower on the corridor. There is no free wifi.
perfect location, very clean, flexible checkin time.
just two toilets, they charge for luggage store after 1pm.
Staff were generally speaking obliging. .
I had booked about 6 weeks in advance of my arrival. The room I spent the first 3 nights in was not fit for anyone. There were no windows, it measured 8feet by 9 feet, it was stiflingly warm, and I could hear quite a bit of noise. I was quite literally exhausted through lack of sleep. During the 3rd night, a light came on quite frequently from some where outside and shone throught opaque glass onto my pillow. I sought out the supervisor at that point (2am) and he promised me another room in the morning. Given that I had booked well in advance, I most certainly should not have been given that room!
The location of the hostal was very good, right between La Rambla and The Old Town. The staff were very friendly and ready to help. It's possible to come and go as you wish since you get a key for the frontdoor.
There was a lot of noise from the street during the night because the window in the room didn't close all the way. The bed was old and quite uncomfortable.
location and balcony
Place is excellent, 2 min from La Rambla.
Breakfest starts only at 9 a.m. No internet available. No soaps or shampoo.
If you want luxury go and pay the Barcelona prices. If you want cheap and cheerful book the Rembrandt. Staff are very helpful and friendly and my second time staying.
If it has a day of rain the rooms can be a bit depressing but hey you get what you pay for.
staff was helpful.
toilet and bathroom are so small. also hard to sleep at room because it was too noisy.
Simple words- do not stay here. It is not worth the money you pay for it.
