Hostal Rio Ara  

This was our third stay at the Hostal and it never disappoints. It is excellent value for money and the staff are both pleasant and helpful. It is centrally located for access to all of the outstanding valleys and beautiful scenery. The bar is the 'hub' of local activity and has a great atmosphere. This hostal is an absolute find and we will return again.

It was our second stay and once again we had an excellent time. The hotel has a great atmosphere, the food is very good and the staff extremely helpful. The hotel is well placed for an unequalled variety of walking, with some direct from the door. We will be back.

Friendly staff, beautiful countryside and views, reasonable price. A relaxed atmosphere with interesting locals. Also good walking within reach. Parking no problem.

Exceptional value for money, this hotel is well located for outdoor activities. The 12.50 euro menu del dia (inc wine) is as good as any we have had in Spain. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the hotel has a local 'real Spain' feel. For a budget, rustic and rural Spanish hotel it is unbeatable and we will definitely return.

We stayed at this hotel during a camping holiday because it was a cheap, really cheap, special offer. For the price it was excellent, couldn't fault anything. The room (twin room in attic, bathrooms down corridor) was clean, nicer than it looks in the pictures, bathrooms too were good, clean, everything worked, lots of hot water. Outside terrace was much nicer than one would expect, menu was good and reasonably priced, service was good. Buffet breakfast included bread, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, various cold sausage/meats and cheese, jams and spreads, juice and hot drinks. Great base for touring the canyons just North of the hotel, well worth going out of your way to see them! A lively place, bar and restaurant used by locals, very friendly. Free wifi throughout (tip - when they show you the number which looks like a phone number, it's actually the wifi code but staff struggled to make that clear!) Would happily stay here again.

Not a fault but it would have been helpful to have menus translated into English or French. Also not much tourist information available about things to see and do in the area.

Es la segunda vez que vamos y nos encanta. No es un hotel de lujo pero calidad-precio está genial, el desayuno muy bueno, las habitaciones impecables, y el personal super amable. Ideal para , visitar la zona. Totalmente recomendable. Sin duda repetiremos.

Unser Favourit für Bergtouren in den Pyrenäen! Wir hatten dort einen perfekten Urlaub und konnten uns vom stressigen Berufsalltag wunderbar erholen. Diese einfach ausgestattete, dennoch sehr saubere Herberge wird von einer sehr herzlichen Familie geführt, die in allen Dingen sich großartig bemühte uns zu helfen und uns entspannte, schöne Tage zu bereiten. Sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in der näheren Umgebung z.B. die Höhlen, die alte, wackelige Hängebrücke (Abenteuer pur!) und Dorfruinen von Jánovas. Mit dem Auto ist man sehr schnell in den 2 Nationalparks der Region, von den kostenlosen Parkplätzen aus kann man prima Bergtouren/Talwanderungen starten. Gegenüber der Herberge Hostal Rio Ara betreiben die selben Wirte einen kleinen Supermarkt, wo man NICHT zu überteuerten Preisen gute Wanderkarten, Obst, Essen & alles Wichtige bekommt. Auch leckere Wurst und Käse aus der Region Huesca. Im Restaurant selber hat man die Möglichkeit abends "echte" Spanier zu treffen, die sich zum gemeinsamen Fußball-Gucken dort versammeln. Es ist eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Das Essen im Restaurant ist authentisch traditionell und lecker. Das Tagesmenü (3 Gänge) kostet knapp 13 € und ist zu empfehlen (keine Pizza bestellen). Wer die großen, unpersönliche Hotelanlagen meidet, keinen Luxus sucht (man solltet dort eh die Zeit in der Natur verbringen) und abends nicht seinen Schnitzel braucht, für den ist diese familäre Atmosphäre und die spanische Gastfreundlichkeit des Hostal Rio Aras sehr zu empfehlen. Ideal für Wanderer, Naturfreunde & Backpackers!

El personal es muy amable, el desayuno muy completo y se tiene la posibilidad de cenar bien a un precio económico.

La calefacción estaba muy alta.

Lo único que me ha gustado ha sido la temperatura interior,que se estaba calentito y que el wifi llegaba bien a la habitación

Habitación antigua, mobiliario muy pasado, bastante cutre, almohada muy baja me levanté con dolor de cuello, la tv era muy vieja el mando no funcionaba y solo se veía 4 canales, el agua de la ducha pasaba de caliente a fria sin esperartelo no pudiendo ducharte con tranquilidad. Ruido de las puertas y en general en el pasillo. Desayuno bastante pobre y rancio. Precio caro para lo ofrecido

Su ubicación, al lado del parque nacional de Ordesa; El desayuno (buffet, con vistas a la montaña nevada, en un salón acristalado) y la habitación (pagamos la de 30 euros, con baño compartido y nos alojamos en una más cara, con aseo propio y camas juntas).

El personal no estuvo muy atento, estaban en el bar contiguo y tuvimos que esperar para que nos atendieran. La carretera para llegar al pueblo, con muchas curvas (también nevada, aunque eso es inevitable).

Las camas son muy cómodas, parece que los colchones sean nuevos y las almohadas son blandas y de poca altura. Las toallas son agradables y secan a la primera. El agua caliente funciona de maravilla. La habitación tenía vistas a la Peña Canciás. El desayuno me encantó, muy completo y de tipo buffet, en terraza acristalada con vistas. Hay wifi gratuito y tv. Tuve la suerte de que reservé una habitación sin baño pero por el mismo precio me la dieron con baño. Múltiples posibilidades de ocio natural en la zona.

Hay un ruido continuo en la habitación que viene de la ventilación del baño. La calefacción está demasiado fuerte, 25ºC. Los domingos la cocina cierra pronto para las cenas.

Lo que mas me ha gustado es su ubicación. Esta en el centro para visitar muchos valles de montaña. Y el personal es muy agradable. Te recomienda sitios, te cuenta curiosidades de la zona y es muy atento. Un diez!!
