Quiet and comfortable small hotel in the centre of the village

The owner was a very pleasant man who even though he did not speak English he made us feel very welcome. The room we had was clean and well cared for daily. It was in a perfect location for us to do our daily birding trips.

It had kitchen cupboards in the room but they had nothing in them. There was a working fridge but we would have liked at least a kettle and some cups so we could have made a cup of tea.

It was a fun place to stay , the staff were lovely and our room was very clean and comfortable

Location of El Rocio - right on the edge of Donana. Hotel staff nice and friendly, good breakfast - served by the staff. Rooms clean , sheets towels etc changed every day. Hotel well located in El Rocio, which was an amazing place.

Lack of street names made hotel difficult to find on arrival. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon, when the place was quite busy, but by the evening and the following day, it was like a ghost town and there were only 2/3 restaurants open.

The proprietor was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean.

The stairs to the rooms could be difficult for anyone with any mobility problems.

The Hostal was exactly what I required as a base for birdwatching in the Donana Natural Reserve. A bed for the night and breakfast was ideal and good value. The owner/manager was very kind, helpful and friendly and went out of his way to please.

Considering the price, there was nothing I disliked.

The cleanliness and the attitude of the staff. Also the breakfast was more than ample.

We were not aware that the streets were covered in deep sand making it rather difficult to walk. Of course that has nothing to do with the hotel or its facilities but it detracted somehow from the feeling of a beautiful mini holiday.

Just amazing value for money. Good sized room with decent shower and lots of hot water. Did not expect a hair dryer and shampoos etc to be provided in this level of hotel...and a very acceptable breakfast included in the price.

The man who runs this hostal is extremely friendly and helpful. The level of service he provides is excellent and nothing seems to be too much trouble for him. One morning we had an early departure for a visit to the game park but he ensured that we nevertheless received our breakfast before departure.

Very special wild west/horse friendly athmosphrere. You can park / tie your horse anywhere on the streets of the town. All the streets inside the city limit are fine sand! There were hundreds of horses and thousands of horse people everywhere in the town having fun!!!.

Only one small window facing indoor passage, not much natural light in the room. However the electrical lights were bright. Small room with kitchen but no dishes and equipment for cooking.

The place is very good place, clean and comfortable. Nice staff and helpful. Next time in the area I will surely go stay there again.

The owner/manager were incredibiliy kind and gentle. The hotel is in a very good position. Our room (with a kitchinette) and the bathroom were wide and clean and our bed absolutly confortable. Have you ever been in a western village with sand, horses and cowboys (with no guns)? El Rocio is a peculiar, wonderfull village close to Donana National Park and they both worth a visit.

It was shame to be given a kitchen, but not any utensils for using it.

The owner of the hotel served the guests personally. Even if he did speak only spanish, every wish was served very quickly by him. He was very helpful in organizing riding trips. Thanks and greetings to the guy.
