Good location. It's cheap. Stuff is nice and helpful. Generallt it's not clean. The toilet/shower room is awful - it's dirty, there's no place to leave the clothes or towel, no even a shelf for toiletries, the water didn't sink. The bed that I got first had a broken open socket so you could easily touch the contacts and get an electric shock.

Very nice arty hostel! Loved the paintings on the wall and the other art pieces! We had a very big room with even a sitting area. The ladies bathroom was on an other floor and the breakfast was a bit late, so not very nice when you have to leave 'early'. We couldn't check out as there was no one in the reception in the morning.

My wife and I booked this hotel then read some of the reviews which were less than complementary. We were therefore somewhat apprehensive before we arrived. However we need not have been. The young man on reception could not have been more helpful, we had been allocated a room on the first floor, but as the women's bathroom was on the second floor my wife asked if we could see a room there. He took us up to see both rooms. In the end we opted for the first floor room as it was much bigger and had its own lounge with a sofa as well as a juliet balcony overlooking the street. The room was clean as was the bedding. For the price it was much better than we expected. The lack of an ensuite bathroom. The noise from the street. Málaga parties late and loudly on a Saturday night.

Alsmos Hostel is one of the best hostels we ever been to. Super friendly staff, amazing vibe and walls full of weirdly amazing art. Great value for money!!!

The staff were really friendful and helpful and the location was good - right in the middle of town and only a minute from plaza del merced and the castle. The hostel is noisy at all hours, it felt very much like student halls. Breakfast was just bread and coffee and you have to be quick because there is not enough. Most of all the price is too high - we paid 40€ a night but after staying I would say is definitely not worth it.

Right in the city centre. Very friendly and helpfull staff. The building itself is an artwork. For 20 euro per night we had a double room with fridge and living room, breakfast included. Nothing. All negative comments are from paople who have never been to a hostel in their life.

If there's one thing good about this Hostel, it's the location but that's pretty much it. When we arrived we were told there had been some kind of overbooking problem and they wanted us to stay in someone's apartment in a room with no windows or ventilation. Upon insting in finding another solution (which wasn't easy because the emplyees only spoke Spanish) and after failing to place us in another Hostel, we ended up sleeping the first of 2 nights in a 12 bed room. There was no-one else in the room but after booking a double bedroom, sleeping in a bunker bed in a gigantic room wasn't exactly what we were expecting. Breakfast was a joke. When we arrived at the kitchen, there was nothing but milk in the refrigerator , warm orange juice and 3 slices of bread in a dirty plate. We ended up having breakfast in a nearby coffeshop which was far too expensive. When we finally got to sleep in the double bedroom the following night, the worst thing happened. I woke up in the middle of the night bit by mosquitoes. I got out of bed in the middle of the night and I saw some black thing crawling on the floor. When I turned on the light, I saw a gigantic cockroach (about the size of the palm of my hand) crawling under the drawer cabinet. And when I picked up my backpack, there was another one. We immediately packed our bags and left the Hostel at 5am.

Good location, nice decoration and style. When we did arrive, reception said that they don't have a free room even we had done the booking 15 days before. She offered to stay an other place close to the Hostel. While we didn't have so much possibility we accepted to stay there. But the room was dirty and had a musty smell. There were no towel, soap, etc. The breakfast was included in price but there is no breakfast in real. They showed us a little kitchen to prepare our own breakfast, but there was nothing to eat or prepare except a piece of bread and a few jam!

What the hell ! Woman at the reception very unpleasant ! In the room there was a window between the room and the corridor which didn't close by key! They were surprised that we asked an other room which could close with a key. The share bathroom is more collective bathroom and toilets without possibility to close the toilets and just a curtain for the shower. The bed was very dirty (If they change bed linen thay have to change their wash machine very quickly!) The breakfast is only a kitchen and you help yourself depending on the food is not out of date or look like possible to eat... The kitchen is really dirty. It's cheap for Malaga (but expensive compare to the rest of Andalousia) but it's not pleasant.

The location was excellent . It was clean and calm. I saw the staff only when I did the check in and check out. No one was setting on the reception desk and I checked that many times. The breakfast was bad. In the first day at 8:25, I went to the kitchen and there was no bread. There was a bottle of milk and other things which need bread to eat them. On the second day, there was bread, orange juice, milk, butter and jam. On both days, there was no tea. The wifi signal did not reach my room. I have to set outside the room to get the signal.

Hostel Alamos is really in the center of Malaga. In the middle of nice restaurants/ bars and close to the beach. The hotel is really beautiful. Everywhere colorful art, even in the rooms. It's quiet clean. The breakfast is simple, but good: toast, butter, marmelade and orange juice/coffee/thee. You can ask the staff everything and they help you (ask for towels, a ven, entrance to the terras, etc.). A bathroom for guys and girls separated. It's a little noisy. There was no window in the room. No airconditioning. The bathrooms where okay/quiet clean.

Very good location. Very close to the center with a walkable distance to most of the important things to do. Great paintings decorating the entire buildings... Good place to stay The room was a bit hot. Please don't forget to ask for a fan.... without it was difficult to sleep. Breakfast was bread and jam... nothing special but ok for the price.

Great value for money, good location, neat and cosy room, average bathrooms During the time we stayed at Alamos 14 there was some kind of art event taking place inside (!) the hostel... It was awkward and uncomfortable to see people walking around whole day. No privacy and atmosphere to relax. It is a really nice, great located hostel but the owners should really think whether they want a hostel or an art gallery at Alamos 14...

Conveniently placed on the edge of the town centre and only a few minutes walk to the beach. Had everything I'd expect from a hostel plus loads of art work and a hairdressers too if you want it.

The host is very nice and warm. Because the house was under process of redecoration and it was inconvenient to use kitchen, he took us to a very nice breakfast place and we had a very nice morning. Though the redecoration was not finished, I can imagine that it will be very interesting and fashionable when completed. It is very exciting to see the people do it like artists. I am very looking forward to see the finished work.

The room was light and spacious, the bed was big and comfortable. Of course, what I liked the most, was the location, it was in the very center of the city. I expected less for that price. The bathroom was shared. There were few showers and toilets in the same place, the showers only had a curtain, so you would feel really awkward if someone entered the bathroom while you were inside.
