I was looking for a cheap, clean and decent hostel to stay for 2 nights in Madrid, and I found it with this hostel. It had a nice welcoming atmosphere, having a kitchen which guests could use was a bonus as it saved money on eating out. The hostel is reasonably located, the Gran Via is onlly 10 mins walk away. The area surrounding the hostel is also reasonable - I felt safe walking at night in the local neighbourhood.
The only gripes I had was that I booked a single bunk room rather than a dormitory, expecting I would have the room to myself. In the end I ended up sharing the room on both nights, the second night was with a female guest (I'm male by the way!). I'm not too sure whether this would be allowed in the UK for safety & security reasons?
Good location, easy access to Metro(Bilbao station and San Bernardo station) and a supermarket. You can go to Plaza de España on foot within 15 minutes.
1. My room is on the first floor, but toilet and shower are on the ground floor. It is inconvenient. 2. My room is quiet small, and facilities are old. 3. I booked a two-person dormitory, but one night the hostel arranged 3 persons in this room (a guy sleeping on the floor)!
The staff are very helpful.
Kitchen closed from midnight to 8 AM.
Hostel location easy to find
noise levels of staff playing music in the reception area
Toooo dirty and very very old facilities beds.. i dont want to sleep i couldnt sleep!
There are 20~25minutes from sol. You feel little par but many musician play the music & performance. Really interesting location. Also staff is very kind. When i went there i didn't have any information. They found bus terminal, timetable and many thing.
Computers for all guests to use! It's located close enough to the center and near the metro. Good price.
The bathrooms were a little far from my room. They charged 2 euros for luggage storage and while they offered breakfast but it was very, very basic.
Good location, friendly staff
Rather small shared spaces
Staff was really nice. Free computers to use the internet. Lots of activities to do every night.
Rooms are not very comfortable. Showers may be in a different floor than your room.
Receptionist Anthony was professional and nice.
They messed up my booking, i had to switch hostels for second night. Thin thin walls. No locker in my room. Very basic and small room. Small reception area (4 seats...). No internet in rooms.
The fellowship of others. Kitchen facility.
The staff was fluent in English, able to communicate very well with us. Good location, in the city but a bit difficult. One has to keep a very good lookout along the street. Rooms and toilets were clean. Computers with internet were available. Breakfast in the kitchen provided a brilliant opportunity to know other travelers.
360 Hostal Malasna is in a great location. The place feels very cozy, safe, and a cool atmosphere. The staff gooes out of their way to help and answer any questions. I would recommend this hostel to solo travelers or families.
This comment is more a suggestion than a criticism: I just wished there was a slightly better common room for hostelers to gather.
The receptionist at the hostel was really helpful and gave us great advice and took good pictures! We were invited to join a lot of nice activities organized by the hostel but we were too tired to join. Hopefully next time!
Some small problem with locker assignment but it was fine in the end
Great location between the san bernardo, tribunal, and bilbao metro stops but far enough away from the loud touristy center; affordable price; friendly and helpful reception; slow but usable free computer lab; social nights in-house like 1€ sangría; fun setup of 3-4 floors (inside the same flat entrance) for bedrooms and showers; big, equipped kitchen
Moldy shower ceilings; boys 10-bed bedroom was a little smelly, probably because boys; they happened to be short a key for the street-level door, which wasn’t a problem for me personally, but this is Madrid!
I got a double bunk room and it was perfect. We had our own key to the room, the staff always made an effort to say something funny as we entered or left and the restaurants in that location were super good. We had a wonderful experience here.
The walls are thin so if other noisy guests come late at night, you're going to hear them loud and clear.
