Hotel Lloret Ramblas is situated on Barcelona’s famous Las Ramblas, just outside Plaza Catalunya Square.
Score from 2610 reviews Good
Fantastic location, great rooms and excellent staff. Enjoyed Barcelona more because staff was able to direct us to great restaurants, things to see and do. We will be back again
Personal, friendly staff in family run eco-hotel. Very clean and the location couldn't be better. Soundproof doors to little terrace shut out the noise. Really comfortable beds.
More storage space or even hooks on the wall would be nice.
The staff was very helpful, the location of the place is great. One block away from Plaza Cataluna and a main train hub. Many places to eat and a McDonald and Burger King around the corner. Very convenient. The bathroom, like the room was small, but it had shampoo and soap dispenser and a blower. Clean towels and sheets every day.
The room was very small and it only had the basics. No TV, no coffee pot, no refrigerator. There was a vending machine with water, but not much else. We only came to sleep so for us was enough. If you only want a place to sleep this is good, if you want amenities, you need to find some other place.
Only location! Idea of a Green hotel
Bathrooms dirty, shower floor has wood slats and dirt underneath you can grow plants in. Sparingly furnished, quality of furniture bad, power lines exposed on ceiling. Renovation of this old building very sloppily done. No English news on TV except Al Jazeera English! No fridge.
Located very close to the Rambla, my adult daughter and I had a triple room on the fifth floor (lift available). Loved the central location, taxi is able to stop almost right outside the Hostal, and the room was large and bright, looking out over a street; windows with shutters keep noise level down to reasonable, and nothing heard from neighbouring room. Beds were very comfortable, and bathroom large and all clean. Good aircon. Girls at the desk very pleasant and helpful - we bought our hop-on/hop-off bus tickets from them, and they could also organise a number of tours. Breakfast next door was easy - coffee and sandwich for 3.5 e. Be sure to visit the fresh food market just a short walk away - loads of great cheap fruit (amongst other stuff). Great internet (modem was just outside our room).
The cons: no hairdryer or fridge supplied (these are both serious omissions IMO), no TV (sometimes it's good to catch the news at least, but it's not critical) - I would expect these at this price. Cleaning staff could do a little better.
Beds were very comfortable. The superior room was very large. The shower was good. We were able to walk to most sights, Placa Catalunya is a 5 minute walk, less than 10 min walk to the Aerobus. Subway stations, Catalunya and Universitat a 5 min walk.
Wooden slats in the shower stall are unhygienic, bring your thongs for showering. The handbasin has a silly motion sensored tap, totally unsuitable for the purpose. The wooden hand basin surround is not sealed properly.
Location fantastic, staff excellent and accommodation perfect for a family of 4.
location is close to Placa Catalunya (airport bus and sightseeing buses) and La Rambla. The rooms are large, modern and comfortable. Quiet location down the backstreets, I was only on the second floor and was there during a festival recently and noise wasn't an issue.
Indisputably, location. Pedestrian street noise, but alive. Lounge areas on 2 levels with Apple computers. Friendly, relaxed and well informed staff. Hostal Grau is a gem of a place.
Recently renovated and clean but lacking some finishing touches; i.e. doors stick. Shower floor in wood retains humidity and with it some mosquitos, even in October. Barcelona needs to become WIFI friendly - internet connection on temporary basis.
Pure white room, nicely decorated, wonderful bedding. Friendly staff. Right in the middle of the Gothic quarter, bohemian, historical, charming. Great breakfast next door and boutiques. Five minute walks to La Rambla and4 minutes to the Metro (Subway)
No TV in the room, nor a phone. No safe in the room but your valuables can be put in the hotel' safe. There is so much to do, in any event, that you will not miss TV! :)
Fantastic location. Very clean and safe and staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Loved it
Easy walk to la Rambla and lots of restaurants as well as hop on off bus stop. Lively and interesting. Clean room and comfortable beds. Helpful, patient and courteous staff made us feel welcome. Tea making facilities and basic cutlery provided.
Family room being 4 beds in one room. Perhaps put two in the second room where there is plenty of space? Can't rate kitchen facilities as this was a hotel room not apartment.
The position was very good just a small walk from Les Ramblas
There was no mini fridge or anywhere to keep even a bottle of milk.
We arrived late on a Friday night and were greeted by a very helpful receptionist. Easy to find after arriving by coach from the airport. Fabulous location and the softest bed ever !
Just returned from a 2 night stay at hostel grau. Couldn't have got a better location, close to all attractions but tucked away enough to be able to get a good nights sleep in the comfortable rooms. Would definately return and recommend to others
We loved Hostal Grau. It's position is very central to the Ramblas and Gotic area but tucked away. The decor is eclectic and cosy. Beds are comfy . Staff are friendly and full of imformation on everything if you ask .
We felt it was a little expensive .
It's within walking distance of the Placa de Catalunya, which is where the airport bus drops you off. It's close to The Ramblas and many excellent cafes. The desk staff were excellent.
The guests and/or the maids were constantly going in and out of the guest rooms and the maids closet, allowing the doors to slam behind them each time. It was quite annoying especially early in the morning. There is no continental breakfast and no coffee or tea.
Nice place to stay. Breakfast can easyly been taken in the bar next door.
The bar next door is almost open 24/24h. A little noisy when you have a room on the streetside.
Hostel Grau Barcelona was recently renovated using natural materials, e.g. wood rather than metal, wherever possible -- in keeping with the spirit of Gaudi. Staff was very helpful with directions and advice on dining. Atmosphere was pleasingly informal, with large room and modern bath. Within walking distance of anything in the Old City. A refreshing change from formal center-city hotels.
The hotel has no facilities for meal service, but this was not a problem. There was a convenient restaurant/bar next door where we had breakfast.
The location and the staff at the hotel were excellent and went out of their way to help. The location just off Las Ramblas near to the drop off point in the square for the Airport bus couldn't have been any easier.. It was a busy cut through so expect some noise from the street below but didn't disturb us. We had a suite which had 4 single beds in one room and a sofa/dining table/microwave/fridge and some plates etc and a kettle in the other. Don't expect too much in the way of kitchen equipment ok for making a quick drink but little else but we ate out for meals. The room was clean and functional - no complaints there. The bathroom with separate toilet were a little on the small side. In particular the toilet which was in what could only be described as a cupboard. Depending on the length of your legs you may struggle to close the door. I have never seen a bathroom that small. We were only there for a few days so not a real issue - May have been a bit annoying if you were staying a week or two. The staff were wonderful and welcoming and there was a lounge you could use to sit in - I think they were intending to do breakfasts later on in the year. We were able to leave our bags there the whole day as we were catching ferry late that night to Palma, so this was really good service. Would definitely stay again for a short trip.
location helpful staff
foul odor in the room (likely sewer gas. unpleasant
1st floor rooms are above a bar so if you want to sleep request a higher floor. get rid of the automatic faucet in the bathroom your not green if I have to hold my finger over sensor to let water run to get it hot.
The establishment was very clean. Kinga and the rest of the staff were very helpful especially in purchasing tickets for the Sagrada Familia and giving help for places to eat. Great location. Very close to .Catalunya and transportation. The shutters on our balcon served to shut out extraneous noise when we were trying to sleep. Liked that they are trying to be GREEN. Would go back in a minute! Very good service and situation for the money.
Slightly noisy as we were on the 3rd floor over the bar and restaurant. But the heavy shutters pretty much kept that down.
Room was perfect, very nice, clean and big.
Wifi was extremely slow.
