Hotel Alimara  

It was nice than we expected. Just five minutes on foot from the metro(subway) and the metro takes 15 min to Plaza Catalunya which routes to main street of Barcelona. So public transportaion is quiet ok. If you arrive at Barcelona airport or leave from the airport, I recommend to take taxi instead of using metro or bus. Costs are just Euro 40~50 in case you trevel with your family. I found a good convenient shops near by the hotel, which is like Tesco, Asda, Waitrose, Saintsbury, and Wallmart, but of course relatively small. It is just 10 min. On foot which is inside of apartment (flat?) opposite-bound of the hotel. There was also pharmacy near by the shop. I think Barcelona is very nice city and if you want comfort on the travelling at relatively cheap price, choosing this hotel is ok.

Taking and Calling taxi could be difficult in a certain time. I asked the hotel to call taxi in the afternoon for Airport, but there was no taxi coming after 20min. Airconditioning system is not prompt. If the hotel use the system before the guest comes into the room, it would be quite nice for the service. Complimentory water bottles(Just 1 or 2 bottles a day) should be given to the guest like other hotel because it is given by any of average of 4 star hotels.

View is beautiful. And very clean and fresh air if you open the window (May 2012). 10 minutes walk from Metro. Wifi in lobby. There is Chinese food delicious near the metro.

Gym is bad and less equipment.

Very nice and clean. Metro is very very near and its the main line, so you can arrive in the centre of the town or in touristic places (Battlo Palace, Sagrada Familia, Rambla) without changing -no stressing way- and its fantastic if you want to visit a lot of places using public lines! The place around are very quite. Great breakfast!!!

Good and confortable hotel for the prices given! Super chocolate croasans for breakfast!

Wifi is not available at rooms. For the hotel like this, the internet connnection should be all around and for free to make it easier for the guests!

Good location. Big room. Staff is very friendly. Near U-Bahn and Bus. Good food in restaurant.

Pure and expensive breakfast. If you ask only coffe and tee as a breakfast - free of charge. Slow Internet and only in lobby.

Good and clean hotel for its price, specially if you rented a car. (10min from center of the city)

Free wifi in hall only. Prices are too high for parking in that region of Balcelona, but we were lucky to find free parking place next to the hotel.

Average four stars room

-No air-conditioning available in the room -Leaking water in the bathroom from the ceiling -Noise from the very close highway -Far away from the city center, when metro closes at midnight Pretentious, expensive, low quality for a four stars hotel far away from downtown.

Good location for business. Personal is friendly and kindly. Very very helpful full day. Clean and big room. Not so loudly though our windows are to the road.

Bad breakfast. 14 euro - too expensive. Internet is only in lobby. Very slowly. For 10 euro/day is in the room. So far to the center. If you have a car and travel a lot this hotel is good. Not enough free public packing places. There is no fitness center. Only 3 training devices in the room 5 m at 2,5 meter.

Metro is very close so city center you can reach during 10-15 min.

Here was only few disadvantages: noise from the outside road and expensive breakfast.

Nice hotel with cheap prices. We spent 3 nights in this hotel and it only cost less 160 Euros. It beyonded my expectation. Modern decoration and useful stuffs, I also like the fitting room in this hotel

The hotel is very close to metro (~3min by walk). The room is large and comfortable. The reception is helpful.

Good quality, clean, well designed, good location and modest cost.
