The headline gives it away. What an absolutely fabulous location this Hotel occupies! The views from any side are fabulous. We were visiting the Luna Mora festival at nearby Guaro and the quality of this Hotel was just so complementary to a fantastic weekend. We upgraded to a junior suite for a modest additional supplement and it was well worth it. Food, service and comfort and decor are all exemplary. Would not hesitate to go back if I get the chance.
Absolutely nothing to dislike
The staff were very accommodating , nothing was too much trouble for them. Location is excellent and the whole experience was a pleasure. We will return soon.
Tired decor, old tv. Same menu in restaurant for lunch and dinner every day. Junior suite was basically just a room, only one armchair! And that one was not Comfortable, we're we supposed to take it in turns? The Road up to the hotel was very steep and narrow and there were no barriers and there were sheer drops, we could not use the road after dark.
This is a lovely hotel - charming rather than chic and all the better for it. Staff are lovely and food is excellent. We will certainly come back to this wonderfully relaxing place.
Location give fabulous views and is ideal for mountain walks. Surrounding area very beautiful and unspoilt. Restaurant good although not cheap. Staff very polite and helpful albeit busy. We enjoyed local walks and sitting in the garden.
We asked for a quiet room and were given a downstairs room with no airconditioning so had to leave our door open all night. Not good for security although it was quiet. The drive up from the town is not for the feint hearted - as are many of the surrounding roads. Ignore your Tom tom on way through town and stick to the main road.
I was travelling in Spain working along the coast and wanted to find a chilled out hotel. This place is literally an oasis. Great food and great staff.
We loved the location of the hotel as it is in a Natural park and is quiet due to its more remote nature. The pool is very good and it is cooler in the evenings as t is in the hills and gets the benefit of mountainous air. Although the evening menu, was a bit limited, the food was very good quality and very tasty.
The only thing we didn't like was the difficulty in finding staff at some times, because there were few of them and so this meant they could not always be on hand at reception or at the bar as they were covering other duties. At our time of departure on the last day (and the last evening before), no experienced staff were available to prepare the bill and so we had to settle the total cost of the stay remotely from the UK.
the grounds, the views, the facilities, the rooms, the food the staff, all perfect
the bed was very uncomfortable, however it would not put me off staying there again
Fantastic location, motivated staff, pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely worth going.
Views were fantastic, especially from the room balcony. The bed was very comfortable. Food was lovely. Relaxing. Staff were helpful and friendly but unobtrusive.
Offer of a towel to use on sun lounger would be good.
Location and views. Rooms are spacious, clean and with very good internet connection. Great place to chill out after hiking in the mountains
I had higher expectations on the restaurant. It was good but not excellent, particularly for the price
Peace and tranquility; walks on doorstep or a bit further afield if wanted; staff extremely helpful and friendly - it's more like staying with people than at a hotel (although they leave you alone); restaurant menu excellent - I had the Menu Degustacion on the first night and it was superb and well worth the 40 Euros; other nights I ate off the a la carte and it was just as good; whilst only booking a single room I was allocated a Junior suite which had fantastic views both down the valley and across the mountains to the East
Leaving on the Monday morning :-)
The fantastic hilltop location; the lovely building, and the comfortable room. The very good breakfast.
The price (and choice) of dinners and wines, which was quite a bit higher than one would expect to pay in nearby town restaurants.
Food was excellent
hotel is a bit 'heary'. You can hear the people in the bar from your room and the other way around...
Peaceful location. Good food in the restaurant. Nice view from the room.
Cycling the steep hill up to the hotel! But it was worth it.
Location and views and tranquility . Room comfortable although lighting rather poor and electrics a bit dodgy! Dinner excellent though on the expensive side..lovely staff and definitely try to go again. Lovely walking place
Lighting not good difficult to read in the rooms..
The food and service are excellent.
The road to the Hotel and through Tolox is horrible and narrow.
location, staff,comfort, food
loved it all
The view is amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant not too pricey and the food good.
Quite a tough finish to a day's cycling - a steep uphill of about 4km from the town of Tolox.
Quiet non intrusive atmosphere and professional attitude of staff to make our stay exactly what we needed a good relaxing break. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, looking to just get away from it all and recharge the batteries. Food was excellent and the personal outdoor spa…. just what the doctor ordered - will be back for sure!
noise of the rooms mini bar and the TV did not work.
Very relaxing, lovely spa - hot tub overlooking the mountains. Arrived just after lunch for one night only but they organised some lunch for us even though the chef was just finishing. They also booked me a massage and a spa session at the times we wanted. Very relaxing by the pool with fantastic views over the mountains. Lovely room and bathroom. A great stop off near Malaga airport.
Prices are quite high in the restaurant compared to the rest of our holiday throughout Andalusia.
views service food pool
the mountain path leading up to it with nothing to stop you falling off the edge of the mountain that breakfast was not included
