Hotel Constanza  

Very comfortable bed and lovely shower.The hotel is on a comparatively quiet street close to restaurants. Our room was at the rear and when we arrived in the evening we enjoyed our spacious balcony which looked out onto the rear of the other buildings in the block. The quiet air conditioning was very welcome.

The building next door is being demolished so the thick dust in the air meant we couldn't use the balcony in the morning. Building site noise but not too early. Sound insulation between rooms was not good so we could hear someone snoring. We could hear water in the downpipes most of the time. Decor was dark and masculine - fine for an overnight but not for much longer.

Everything about the hotel was good except for the noise. We stayed in room 108 and had difficulty sleeping. Not only could we hear people in nearby rooms, but also there was a noise of water cisterns during the night, almost as if there was a constant flow.

The noise in the corridors. You wake up with early check outs or late arrivals.

The hotel is in a great location - easy walking distance to the old city and Catalunya. Beds are very comfortable and wonderful pillows. Having a balcony and being able to open the room to fresh air is great. Staff were extremely helpfu.

There is a lack of good eating places very close but you can compensate by walking further. We just miss the lack of ability to make tea and coffee in our room. A clock would be good.

Very nice hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpfull, could not speak highly enough of them. Great location, right in the heart of barcelona. Rooms were lovely with a balcony and fridge,which is very handy.

Thehote's location was good and easy to find. A short walk to the main sights of Barcelona. The room was very comfortable with all the expected facilities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and given my early arrival from Australia (8am) I was able to check into my room. Most appreciated Hotel Constanza!

Clean, comfortable, friendly and well located hotel close to centre and Metro station. The room was well appointed and attractive. The shower was particularly pleasant. On the few occasions we spoke to the staff they were very helpful and polite.

Although the hotel uses the bar next door for breakfast, I would have liked to have had a bar in the hotel in which to relax in the evening. I always struggle to get used to continental hotel rooms with no carpets. Barcelona is one big building site, but the local building work was only a nuisance when having a lie in.

Absolutely wonderful, beautiful, chic hotel in a great location away from main tourist areas but within 10 minutes walk (3 blocks) from them all! Exceptional staff. Stunning rooms. Perfect and can't wait to go back!

Excellent location just a few minutes walk from Pl Catalunya but in a nice quiet area. Friendly English speaking staff, good food for breakfast and in bar/restaurant.
