Excellent old fashioned service.very enjoyable food and wines.

Quite dark rooms e with shutters that rattled

The restaurant was exellent.

Well appointed spacious room with a spa bath tub. Excellent breakfast and good value for money.

Initial smell of smoke when we entered the room but later thought it might be a chemical smell from laundry? Opened balcony doors to air room.

Perfect location, just minutes walk from Dali museum and Figueras historic centre. We walked there in the evening for a stroll, in the morning - to have breakfast in the city and see the museum. Good parking with lots of spaces. Behind hotel begins country road where we could walk the dogs.

Restaurant rather expensive. The dinner in the city was OK, but in the morning almost everything was closed.

Whirlpool bath was a novel experience. The wi fi connection was fast and available throughout the hotel. Reception staff were friendly and helpful even though we spoke very little catalan or spanish.

It's designed for those with a car and is excellent for that...near a main road with easy access, avoiding driving down narrow streets. We were on foot and it's quite a long walk out of town, though still ok. We got a great price and stayed in a hotel that's a couple of stars above what we're used to, so the walk was a very small price to pay

Very clean and friendly. Good sized rooms and excellent food and ample car parking.

Restaurant too expensive for us to eat there Was advertises as wood floors, were in fact imitation wood plastic panels. Place looked old and in need of an update. For the price we paid we were not unhappy (we got it at a late booking discount rate).

After staying in Paris and numerous cities and towns I decided I wanted a hotel in the countryside but walking distance to the town centre and in particular the Dali museum. The hotel is on the north western edge of the town. My room overlooked farms and distant hills and coast. The hotel was built in the 1960s and rooms recently updated. The restaurant El Motel was exceptional. Breakfast was wonderful. Free car parking. I loved my stay. If you are by train (as I did) I recommend you take a taxi to the hotel (€10) from the train station as the walk from both train stations is 3 km(2 miles) to the hotel. The map of the area is difficult to follow. After the taxi trip it was easy to walk around the town.

I'm customer of that hotel since 1967. For the first time I had a small problem wich was quickly resolved.

The location is great, if you lucky enough to get the room on the opposite side of the road you get nice countryside views, it is very close to Dali museum, only a few minutes walk. Breakfast was very good, great variety and good quality. Lovely staff. All very nice.

Although when booking I ticked the no smoking box we got the room that was obviously for smokers (ashtrays in the room and awful smell of cigaretts).it was only for one night so we kind of decided to bear it. Also, the room was pretty clean but we found some hair ( good few to be honest) in the bathroom. Hopefuly the cleaning person's, not the previous occupier! Towels were clean but judging by their colour they were quite old (supposed to be white but were yellowish). Also the rooms on the road side are quite noisy as the road is very busy with traffic.

The food in the restaurant was outstanding. The assistant manager made a special effort and went out of his way to make us feel special. The chef came to meet us and justifiably takes great pride in his creations.

There was a mistake with our room booking -we had upgraded to a suite as it was a special occasion but we were given a standard room instead. The assistant manager handled the problem very well. We had a suite for the second night.

Rooms very tidy and bathrooms fantastic. Great to be able to have a gourmet dinner in the lovely dining room. Service wonderful and we would go back for sure.

The roadside room was quite loud. Would have preferred a countryside room.

Perfect location within a short walk of the town, immaculately presented, lovely balcony views, really friendly and helpful staff. We loved the town and the hotel and will be back on our next roadtrip.

Location en route through Spain. Easy to find. Good free WiFi. Excellent breakfast. Bedroom comfortable and had all we required. Nice and dark for sleeping.

Not a complaint but recurring comment - nowhere to put washbags in the rather swish bathroom, other than on the floor! Small shelf above sink was OK but not enough. It had plenty of room for a unit beside sink for example.

Location was good, easy to find and park. The room was very inviting and clean, good bathroom.

Not really NOT like, but we booked this hotel because of the reputation of the restaurant, where we dined. There was nothing specific wrong...but neither was the food outstanding, in our opinions, this can be a matter of taste, but we were a little disappointed as a gourmet meal, and thought it a little expensive for what was served.

The hotel was very good, the staff very polite and friendly and they gave us a warm welcome. We are always travelling with our dog and he was welcome, too. There was no extra charge. The food in the restaurant was excellent - and good value for money. we will always come back and recommend this hotel to our friends

Nicely appointed room. this is really a restaurant with rooms as the emphasis is on the food. The dinner was very good as was the breakfast.

There is nothing else locally. the beach is a good drive away.
