Hostal Jayma  

The owners were one of the most helpful and friendly I have ever met. Also the room was spotless, the cleanest I have ever seen. The location was excellent, next to the castle, shops and restaurants and a 10 min walk to the beach. An extremely relaxing and comfortable stay. Well done and many thanks to Manuela and Haviare.

The manager was quite helpful in advising us about places to eat, walk, drive, etc., and responsive to problems (the only one was that the wi-fi needed to be reset once).. Someone was always came out to look at us when we came in, so we felt very safe. It was also very quiet, and. the bathroom was huge. Salobrena is an absolutely lovely place, picturesque with friendly, courteous people. The hotel was easy to find; signs led us there quickly from the highway, on an adequately wide street, yet away from traffic..

Staying here is like 'real' Spain, as opposed to the large resorts. The couple who own the hotel are delightful, very friendly and eager to be helpful, despite the language barrier (our Spanish is non-existent and the phrase book was less useful than we had hoped!) As to be expected from a 2* hostal (as opposed to an hotel) the room itself was basic but well-decorated, with furniture that matched, air conditioning (essential) and wonderful free wifi connection (better than our home internet!). The bathroom was actually better than in some 4* hotels we've stayed in, and everything was absolutely spotlessly clean. The public areas also were well decorated and kept, and there is a nice rooftop terraced area with tables, chairs, loungers and shades. We had a hire car and always managed to park somewhere in the street outside. Location- wise: handy for the hill leading up to the castle (very steep climb!) and a couple of restaurants, and a 20 minute saunter to the beach - on the flat, thank goodness. Well-placed for virtually everything, shops, cafes, restaurants etc. If we visit this part of Spain again, will definitely stay here. Highly recommended.

Staff was very friendly, room was clean, town is pretty, beach is nice.

The hotel owners were charming, courteous and very helpful indeed. The hotel itself was very pleasant, comfortable and excellent value for money. If visiting Salobrena again, I will definitely opt for hotel Jayma.

Well signposted, convenient location for Castle and town. Very welcoming host with useful information about restaurants and where to visit. Room well presented and equipped.

Perfect signposting to hotel, very friendly helpful owner, immaculately clean and local restaurants and cafes. The word hostal doesn't translate well into English, this is a lovely clean small hotel with no food, bar or restauarant. en espanol todo perfecto.

La atención por parte del personal es excelente. Te sientes como en casa. La habitación muy cómoda, todo muy nuevo y bien de tamaño. Además, todo estaba muy limpio y todos los detalles muy cuidados. Es un hostal muy recomendable. El propietario nos dio muchísima información turística, de restaurantes, sobre la zona y demás aspectos que nos fueron muy útiles cuando se visita un sitio que no se conoce de antemano. En resumen, todo perfecto.

El trato fue muy bueno y las comodidades eran limpias y nuevas. Con acceso al internet y telefono.

Me ha gustado su situación, la limpieza y la tranquilidad, su personal, empezando por Javier (su dueño) que nos dió todas las explicaciones oportunas para poder conocer Salobreña conociendo de antemano todo lo que sabe alguien de allí. Seguro que volveremos en otra ocasión aunque estemos a más de mil kilómetros como es el caso. Saludos.

Todo, desde todo el personal del hotel, las habitaciones muy confortables y la ubicacion, teniendo todo a mano y la playa a 15 minutos andando, que en coche es 4 minutos.
