Location suitable for exploring local area. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Reception staff organised early morning airport taxi. Free WiFi useful in researching area.
Cafeteria adequate but at hotel of this standard expected restaurant.
Swimming pool is nice and not too crowded, Luna Spa is great, I had massage, facial and pedi. Food is really good even room service! Great run at least 5k at the beach.
Bed linen were not changed once in five days. You need to pay 10euro deposit in reception to use pool towel. Overall staff is not very friendly. A bit of walk away from major tourist attractions.
No slippers or bathrobe, not even for rent.
Overall OK, Clean, close to María Zambrano train station, nicely connected to and from airport. Nicest staff are cleaners and ladies who work at breakfast.
View from hotel and rooms is not really romantic: industrial port and machineries spoil the landscape. Rooms at sea side are better at higher levels: 7th/6th floors, otherwise it feels too noisy from main road. A/C unit noise was constant and no controls to change temperature/fan. Hotel carpets cover "potholes": be careful if wearing heels. Breakfast area is minimal: self service at breakfast. Reception team comes across as hectic and chaotic: you may be lucky and be attended by more experienced member...otherwise...good luck. I felt lack of leadership at management level. Check in and Check out were too little cerimonious: I was not impressed. I observed professionals gathering at entrance were clearly ignored and left apart, no welcoming staff or designated area were set up. I would not consider it as a venue for professional meetings and treat for special guests/speakers (the SPA sounded attractive on paper, not at high standard level to impress). It is not a bad hotel: it just did not stand up to expectations from research online and reviews made prior to the stay.
breakfast, steam room and the pool was nice,
bed and the pillow was not comfortable, 705 jaccusi was not working so I did not use it, I did reported but nothing happened. At the reception all guys was nice and helpful only 1 young girl was very arrogant , not helpful.
Opinion While travelling along Spain we lived in three hotels, which have the rank of four stars, so it is reasonable to give some comparative analysis of these hotels. We have booked the following ones: Ayra Gran Colon and Exe Mon-cloa in Madrid and Monte Malaga in Malaga. According to the habitation cost the most cheap was Ayra Gran Colon (approximately 53 euro per night for two persons); another was Exe Moncloa (approximately 58 euro per night for two persons); the last was Exe Moncloa (approximately 77 euro per night for two persons). Let us make it in order: 1. The staff in every hotel was very friendly and hospitable. 2. The location of the hotels was comfortable to that or other extent. In any case it was very easy to use the public transport. 3. The size of the room coincided with the declared one, bur Exe Moncloa was the exceptional one. At this hotel we had yet the room for one person, because we have only one washbasin in the bath-room, and all other facilities were intended for one person: the sup-port for the trunk, the number of the places for sitting, the size of the room). Though the number of the rooms in the hotel was largo manum. The periodical checking of the hotel website showed this fact. The hotel did not suffer because of the overcrowding. 4. According to the rules with which the four stars hotel must be keep-ing in line, one bottle of water must be given every day to the each guest (250g) for free, but only in Ayra Gran Colon the personal had followed this rule, Exe Moncloa gave only two bottles of water and Monte Malaga has forget about it. 5. The Internet in all hotels was free, but it was very cheap and unpro-tected city internet. If you want protected internet, which is con-nected through the optic-fiber networking, they ask such amount of money for which you can have unlimited traffic in Moscow at least for two weeks. I wonder because the Internet becomes cheaper from year to year.
All the usual facilities you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. Location is good, only 10 mins from the main rail station (trains to the airport every 20mins with 10 minute journey time). About 15 mins walk into town and 10 mins to the nearest beach.
breakfast buffet was superb
aircon seems to be seasonal, although we did get them to switch it on for 1 day before it failed again
the staff , the service, the spa and heated pool facilities, and big bed.
nowhere to sit outside in the sun.
Ordered chocolate covered strawberries and cava which was beautifully presented. The kitchen staff had clearly put in a lot of effort which was very much appreciated.
Would be better if it was more centrally located in Malaga.
The hotel was lovely, and breakfast was excellent
We were disappointed to be told that the bar was closed when we got in on th Saturday night at 11pm which is early in Spain. No provision was offered when we had to leave early on the last day, so we missed the last breakfast.
Near railway station just a short walk, bedroom plenty of room, clean and light. Breakfast more than enough choice and well presented. Staff very helpful.
Breakfast, sauna, pool, room size
Dinner by room service took an hour to deliver and the food was not great.
Very helpful staff, good amenties and pool, good breakfast.
The chicken burger in the bar, though presented well, consisted of reformed meat and was not very nice.
Room size very good , clean, 5 mins from train station , 10 minutes walk from centre
No tea or coffee making facilty in room
Hotel could not provide any drinks service between the hours of 11.00 am and 7.00 pm.
Hotel was very nice. Staff was helpful and accommodating.
I picked this hotel over some others because of "an airport shuttle" icon in the ammenities. Shuttle is a taxi and cost 30 euros. Took the train for €3.60 instead.
Lovely staff Good Facilities
Non sea view rooms are overlooked by adjoining properties No views and feels very claustrophobic No tea or coffee making facilities in rooms which in my opinion is a basic must have for that early morning cuppa. Drinks are available but that means being disturbed by room service and paying.
Food was good, restaurant and room service. Parking under the hotel idea and only 15 minutes from the airport. Spa area was reasonable to relax.
Steam room not working for spa area, no towels, no staff to ask.
Nothing to dislike
Staff extremely helpful and polite
Good bed Free WiFi
It felt a bit out of the way, although a ten minute walk would get you to the town centre
Very nice pool, pleasant atmosphere, Clean, big enough for a swim and good relaxation in the 'water massage' pool.
Happy helpful staff. Good breakfast.
