Good Quality hotel in interesting location a few minutes walk from Las Ramblas. Decent sized double room with small balcony, kettle (not usually found in hotel rooms in Spain!), plenty of storage space and comfy bed. The breakfast was good value at 10 Euros...hot and cold buffet with lots of choice. Staff civil but not overly friendly but no complaints at all about our stay. Would recommend but it should be noted that it is near the Raval area with can be "interesting" at night, however we never felt threatened or unsafe.

within walking distance of la ramblas, a short distance from the central market (mercat de la boqueria) as well as the gothic area, this little hotel is perfectly situated. its also surrounded my quaint little bars, cafes and restaurants so there is never a shortage of dining and entertainment options. rooms are neat and clean, and come with free internet access throughout. staff were friendly and helpful too. finally, there is access to the rest of the city via a metro station just right around the corner. recommended.

Close to main shopping street and city busses, very quiet, could store luggage for several hours before departure to airport. Shower sprayed all over floor.

Excellent location. 100 meters from liceu metro station and very close to palau guell, catalunya square, la boquera and la rambla. Fair distance to picasso museum and cathedral. Parking possible across the street. Hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Considering its location, great value. There was no minibar in the room.

I just only like the location, but backstreet of La rambla seems not safe. My room was very small and there was no can be opened window in. It was old building, not dirty. It was expensive because I haven't found what I want.

Hotel was situated close to the Gothic Quarter, La Rambla and seafront. Excellent base for exploring and quite atmosphere Hotel was set in a back street which was residential and commercial-it was noisy for most of the day and night- the hotel staff were very concerned with security and you needed to watch your handbag anywhere you went in Barcelona.

Friendly staff; excellent location for sightseeing; wonderfully large room with great facilities. Really nice to have a kettle in the room too. Reception is manned 24 hours a day and the staff there are always welcoming and happy to help with any sort of question or advice. It was a pity that there wasn't a daily (small) supply of coffee in the room to go with the kettle (only tea bags and sugar - not even any milk), so do take your own or buy from local shops. Breakfast was adequate and they never ran out of things but it would have been nice to have a bowl of chopped mixed fresh fruit available (there's a huge choice in the local market) rather than the basket of whole apples and oranges only.

The room was nice There was many of bugs, the price so expensive and its not included the breakfast and they lock our card room key before we checkout in one day then we go to the recebtion to open it, the location was not that much good

The hotel is in a great location - just a couple blocks from La Rambla and the Liceu metro station. The hotel is located on a quiet block and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a very nice buffet breakfast served in the mornings. Definitely a good value.

The Hotel Principal was located just off The Ramblas and therefore was the perfect location for me. The staff at reception were very helpful & polite. The only minor complaint was the beds were a little hard and our bathroom did not have appear to have an extra fan therefore it was very steamy when using the shower.

Excellent location, very helpful staff and excellent facilities. We stayed as a family (two adults, two older children and one young child) the rooms were perfect (and very big). The hotel was very clean and we will certainly return for a longer stay. We had planned a short city break and the hotel was ideal for reaching Las Ramblas (a two minute walk) with all its attractions. A hotel we can highly recommend.

The rooms were large with a tea kettle, ample bathroom space and reliable wifi. The breakfast was satisfying with ample selection and the staff was always pleasant. Even though the bed was large for a single person, they were so hard it made it difficult to sleep on and every sound from the hall came through the door. All the doors slammed shut and you could hear each person entering and leaving.

The Hotel is well located, just a few minutes from La Rambla and a Metro station. The breakfast was a continental buffet and it was possible for the family to fill up sufficiently to get through to a late lunch/early dinner. The 3 Euro a day charge for a key a cupboard seemed a bit mean, in relation to how much I'd paid for two rooms.

Very good location (5 minutes walk from Metro Liceu), near Las Ramblas. There was a kettle in our room. The hotel staff is very friendly. The breakfast was very good, lots of choice. Recommended.

The hotel was in an excellent location for sightseeing, restaurants and shopping - could not have chosen better. The hotel was comfortable, staff very plesant and free wi fi for those who felt the need to be in contact with the outside world while on holiday. Would definately recommend this hotel. Not enough supplies of teas and coffees in the room but after asking reception this was soon dealt with.

Nice location, close to the famous 'Ramblas' and the old town of bcn. As the hotel is in a side alley, it is relatively quiet. The reception staff has been very helpful in providing local maps and recommendations. The breakfast buffet is nothing to write home about - it is very basic and has little variety.
