Senator Gran Vía 70 Spa HotelGran Via, 70, Madrid Center, 28013 Madrid (Show map)
Very good,
Score from 1031 reviews
“ The location was outstanding, walking distance to most downtown attractions and the Christmas markets. Also, since the tap water was foul smelling and undrinkable, the free mini-bar (which included 4 bottles of water daily) was a God-send. ”

The Front Desk staff was execptional. We just finished the "El Camino" walk, tired and ready for a spa, we were treated royaly!! Every question we had was answered above our expectations. Well done front desk, and thanks again! We didn't know that we would have to book in advance for the spa services and there was only one estitician on staff. would have been nice to have a massage and facials.....

It's a very standard hotel, not really special. It doesn't feel like a 4 star hotel. Maintenance of the building is rather poor, but at least is clean.

Location is very central. The spa is a joke. Dirty water in the pools located in dark basement. They didn't even have enough changing rooms available. Room was badly outdated and it didn't have all the facilities described in the booking (e.g. such as bathrobes.) We also got two twin beds pushed together rather than a real double bed. The staff was surprised to see that Booking.com's room rate included the spa entry and initially they demanded us to pay that separately.

The hotel is in a great location right on the Gran Via in the centre of Madrid. It was quiet, considering it's location. The electronic moving bed was nice. The room was far too hot, so didn't sleep well.God knows what it would be like in the summer! The shower came off the wall. The breakfast room was far too small and cramped for so many people.

Very good location and friendly staff;especially the girl who looks a bit like a young Nana Mouskouri 1( Sorry I Can,t remember her name) , but she was very helpful, pleasant and had very good english.I Should have given her a better tip but funds were rapidly depleting ! The balcony door wasn't closing properly. The maintenance man closed it the first night and we thought we,d manage it after that but it was clearly faulty so we had to listen to the windbanging it every night

Location is excellent. Doesn't get any central than this. I extended my stay for a couple of nights by phone as I was a little ill, and they were insisting on me paying in advance for those too nights and I should come down my self even when I suggested that they send some one to pickup my Cc. Never had that in all my travels. !!!!

i stayed in the hotel 18-22/1/13, the hotel is very good located, i was confused at the beginning cause there is two in the same street, 22, and 70, but it is only 150 from plaza de spania, and 5 mins walk from sol, and a lot of shopping area, the lobby might not give you a good impression about the hotel, but the room is very nice, spacious, comfortable, mini bar for free, water and pepsi, tea and coffee are for free in the room as well, thew room is always clean and stuff are very friendly

I had booked the hotel to stay with my Mom as a gift for Christmas to take her shopping to the sales in Madrid and enjoy some relax time in the Spa. The location of the Hotel was fabulous and transit from the airport via the metro easy and stress free. The hotel was comfortable and spacious but the fittings and furnishings were dated. The restaurant was closed also. Even though we were on the top floor we had no trouble with noise from traffic but the noise from the elevator was a nuisance at times in the nite. Overall enjoyable. A little dissapointed with the "Spa". No fruit in the fruit pool, the "relax" room was cold, one of the shower handles was broken, one of the saunas did not work. For City Centre it was ok but I would not have spent more than an hour there. The staff were fabulous though as were the treatments.
