Cleanliness and room, bed and pillow service. Location and friendly staff,
Dining area too small for large capacity and breakfast collapsed the service on our third day. Water (as in tea) had after taste and also odour even after baths or showers.
location and service was very good
wifi was so bad, cannot connect to any webpage

Reception area doesn't reflect quality of hotel
city centre location. the metro just feet from hotel entrance.
very small lobby. no bar. the fridge in our suite was supposed to be filled daily, but it never was. just one bottle of water for our seven day stay. the breakfast must be the most boring breakfast we have ever had in any hotel. the hotel should either improve the food choice or cut out breakfast completely. the entrance to the hotel is obscured by a newspaper stand. the stand should be moved away. the ladies of the night are right outside the hotel, not very nice.
I loved everything about this hotel. Very helpful staff. Good size room. Perfect location. Free wifi. Free two bottles of water, free tea and coffee in the room. We stayed for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and when we got back to our room we found a bottle of champagne and a happy birthday card! How amazing!
This is the place to be. Really walking to everywhere you want to as a tourist. I would say if you want. Is it Madrid stay this hotel. The metro is just in front of the hotel,
Not that much to like for a 4-star hotel...
There was no heating and the room was cold and damp. My room was overlooking Gran Via and especially during the weekend, was very very noisy. The toilet had no window or aspiration of its own, but was connected to the room!!! There was no restaurant to have dinner, but only breakfast... and the wifi was so poor, that you could hardly even use viber, most of the time. In short, a never-again experience...
The location seemed great for us, loads of bars and restaurants within walking distance. the underground is right outside too. staff are very helpful and the hotel its self has a great layout. we got a room with a balcony and it had a great view. will definitely stay here again
The location , the comfort, the breakfast. The staff was helpful too. Although there was a lot of bustle in the streets at night, we didn't hear any noise from our room .
We chose "free wifi", the basic one. If we had paid it would have been much more powerful, I guess. Actually we couldn't send emails from the hotel, or very slowly and received them from time to time , not every day.
location is excellent, right next to metro. a lot of restaurants and bars around. very kind stuff.
The location, very central and easy walking distance from many áreas of interest, also access to city transport. There was na ample breakfast, helpful staff and good room conditions. There is a pleasant atmosphere in the hotel, which has a attractive internal structure. The transport service to the airport was very convenient.
convenient to museums
Wifi was very slow. Staff was helpful in arranging airport transportation. Street noise was loud all night, could not sleep with window open.
Location amazingly perfect!
No soundproof at all. To tiny room for 3 people.
Location was fine, streets are full of people even late in the evening.
Red light zone
Size of room
We booked a queen bed and they did not comply with the request. Excellent location
The location of this hotel and its locality to the top attractions and a the Metro system make it the ideal Madrid base.
Personel and Staff
WIFI is awfull
Jose on the front desk is a star. Nothing was too much for him. Give him a rise in pay !
Location was excellent. You couldn't be centrally located better than this ! The Gran Via. Hotel bathroom was very spacious, comfortable bedsp, great hotel staff and hotel. I shall return.
The Wifi is misleading. You have to pay 6 euros for 24 hrs to get complete access to the Internet when staying at the hotel. Booking.com states 'Complimentary wifi access in all areas of the hotel'. Other than that, the hotel is wonderful !
The hotel is in a great location. There is a metro stop right in front of the hotel. There is free wifi which is nice. You can get high speed internet at a cost. The room was clean however the walls could use a paint touch up. It nothing major. Hotel staff was friendly and spoke English. There is also an airport shuttle for 9 euros. The shuttle picks up at other hotels do I would allow an extra 30-45 minutes.
The beds were probably the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in.
Location Excellent - easy walk to many points of interest. Comfortable 7th floor room. Easy to find above metro station Pleasant English speaking staff.
Appalling non existant wifi (maybe the pay version is better!). Only English speaking TV channel is BBC World (not always available). Our visit was for 4 days but free water only available on 1st day. Ladies of the night operating area but not really a problem.
Easy to get to from airport, great central location. Staff were amazing and helpful.
I like the fact, that there were a lot of place to shop around the area.
I did not like alot of things. Starting with the room, Internal decoration is appalling, curtain on windows rip with holes. Bathroom never seen anything like this in my life it is old, dirty, grimy need's complete revamp.this hotel should be rated as as 1*. I did not feel rested during all my 3nights, i could not wait to go back home. Outside is full of prostitutes
