Modern building, the rooms are adequate at the hotel level. Nice structure and services.

We booked a room for a week and paid in advance, as requested. However, we arrived at 3pm (check-in time at 2pm) but they gave us the room only after 9pm!! Unacceptable for any hotel, even unbelievable for a five stars!!

The hotel itself is very nice, - offers spacious clean rooms, - great view of the city of Barcelona, - close to Camp Nou - sense of luxury etc (if you thing it matters)...but

Everything beyond the services covered by the reservation is very expensive.... Eg - 25 euro for breakfast / per person - 5 euro per small (0.5L) bootle of water Internet is very slow for that class business hotel. It is located at south end of the city so not actually suitable for city walks and sightseeing...

Everything was good and more, the stay the atmosphere and the relax moments you can have.I will surely repeat a stay there

The price of the restaurants are a bit expensive and over rated. Outside restaurants and of 5 stars service are cheaper.

We stayed at the hotel due to its location near the Nou Camp for the Champions League semi-final. We were very pleasantly surprised at the service and staff

I loved the Entrance Foyer and the mushroom lighting was delightful. The lifts were fab too! We loved the space! The rooms were light and bright and the bathrooms each had powerful showers - though starting to look shabby! The double bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was very varied and plentful with all food being fresh and well presented. Tables were cleared immediately by very efficient and kind staff. Sometimes our plates were taken even before we'd finished! Sadly we don't speak Spanish so very grateful for English speaking desk staff including an excellent concierge. We enjoyed being just outside the city centre and chose the location for that reason.

My grown up son and daughter shared a room and had single beds. The single beds seemed a bit worn ou with springs showing through on one of them. They did have to turn the mattresses especially on one bed to achieve comfort. The prices in the bar were so high as to prohibit us from buying evening drinks or bar snacks. This would be the reason for not returning to the hotel in the future though we were prepared for this as friends had already reported this. The bar was noticably quiet each evening for this reason I suspect. On other city breaks we choose locations outside the city and enjoy relaxing in the bar in the evenings when returning from a long day of sightseeing. This could easily add another 450 Euros to a 5 day city break just on an evening coffee. It would be useful to have tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. When at home most people would have a hot drink before gettting ready and then going to breakfast. On holiday we try to at least equal the standard we have at home especially when we pay to stay in luxuory. Pool opening times a bit limited too! Bathrooms are starting to look a little shabby now with tiles appearing to look loose and paint flaking showing the age of the hotel build. Sorry! Not complaining just saying what we saw.

The hotel foyer was very impressive. The hotel was very clean at all times. Excellent service, excellent rooms. efficient and friendly staff. The pool and spa/gym were also of a very high standard. Lovely gardens We were at a wedding in the hotel gardens.It was a fabulos wedding. Excellent food and service. Dancing until 4 am. Cannot fault the wedding

I decided to select The Rey Juan Carlos Hotel by taking in consideration the location and the price. After visiting the Hotel I discovered that I have done a great selection. I fully recomend this hotel for business people as well as for families and couples. I am looking forward in visiting the hotel again.

Location fo Hotel to Barcelona Football Club for live match

Selected the hotel for location and indoor pool, only found out after check in that pool is only available to people over 18, I had my two boys of 14 with me and they could not use the pool, very strange and not family friendly

Excellent Hotel! I like the garden and the design of the hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom are very clean, luxurious and spacious. we like the lobby which is fancy lobby.

There is no kettle for tea and coffee! We asked the the reception for adapter from 2 to 3 to charge our phones and they charged us 5 euro! most hotels offer it free!

The hotel looks brilliant and is very contemporary. It has easy access to the metro line and the staff were helpfull in setting us in the direction of the city centre.

The only quarm I have with the hotel is that I requested a room with a double bed. On arrival the room allocated to us had two single beds pushed together. When I bought this up with reception they said that my request for the bed had been confirmed but they did not confirm that I would actually get one. After a few moments of conversation I realised I was not going to get a double bed so to prevent starting the break badly I decided to let it go.

Facilities were as good, if not better than any I have enjoyed in similar hotels. The food and service was excellent. Shame the pool wasn't open until summer.

The lobby bar was too quiet other than the piano player. Background music when the pianist wasn't playing would be a good idea.

Hotel staff was more than excellent
