Set 50 metres from Ávila Railway Station, Hotel San Antonio features modern rooms with flat-screen TVs. There is a restaurant serving traditional Spanish cuisine.
Score from 361 reviews Good
Located beside Ávila’s cathedral, this Medieval-style hotel is set in a 14th-century palace and forms part of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. It offers elegant rooms and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 1115 reviews Very good
Situated in the heart of Ávila, the hotel lies in the medieval center, with its enchanting narrow streets, cathedral and the Plaza de Santa Teresa.
Score from 713 reviews Excellent
The dinner was extraordinarily good even without it being priced very reasonably. This hotel is worth detour just to stay in such comfort. In fine surroundings. The staff were charming.
secure parking in hotels basement car park with lift to all floors . lots of choice for breakfast
Excellently designed room, with separate bedroom and living areas. Warm and very comfortable, and amazingly good value. Very well-priced garage parking. Good restaurant.
We had a very unnerving experience at this hotel. To reach the cafeteria we had to walk through a long glass conservatory style corridor and noticed stacked at side, considerable amount of large outdoor type childrens toys. We had a drink, went for a walk and returned via cafeteria and glass walkway. About 8 boys, aged 5-7 years were in corridor playing with toys. No adults in sight! I walked ahead, negotiating the now scattered toys, when I heard my husband shout "No".Turning I saw two boys carrying a large toy about to throw it at my legs. I shouted at them and they stood there laughing at me. As I turned to continue, another child ahead of me had picked up another large item, threw it at me but missed. I ran forward shouting at him, but he just laughed loudly at me. The parents did not appear during this attack. I complained to reception, but she just blamed parents, said proprietor thought toys good idea. I asked if it was Hotel or Kindergarden. I would never stay at this hotel again and wonder how it got 4stars. There is more to consider than cleanliness etc, how about public safety?
Friendly staff. Good location. Nice big room and bathroom.
Room faced west. It was a very hot day and air conditioning didn't work. Also, bulb in one bedside light was burnt out and the hairdryer was permanently set on HOT, because the switch was broken.
Quiet location. Very reasonable prices in attached restaurant, important because there were few facilities close by.
Entrance quite hard to find as not on a main road. Sat nav took us to similar named street but about 4 miles from Avila. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities.
Good quality hotel with nice staff. Rooms are big and week fitted.
A bit far out of town, It is NOT a 10-15 min walk into town more like 45 mins.
Situated right on the conjunction of several major roads it was easy to get to and easy to find roads out to explore other cities. It was on a good bus route to get in and out of Avila also opposite a good shopping centre with shops and eating places.
Using the underground garage was not easy as the doors were often locked and you had to get a key etc. But there is plenty of free parking around on safe roads nearby.
Restaurant waiter was very helpful but the rest of the staff. the hotel was very nice and clean. It was not expensive.
Neat environment, exceptional staff and good location.
I couldn't change money in the hotel.
Great location, easy to park. Good restaurant and bar on site with very friendly staff. Excellent room, very clean
Price Proximity to shopping centre
Staff: one of them ( Laura ) was rude. Staff messed with my credit card payments. I booked via booking.com and staff charged my credit card automatically within telling me...I found out after I left that on 2 occasions they had double billed then reimbursed me. This meant a lower reimbursement amount each time as my bank charges me for currency exchange.
Incredible value for money Huge room and sitting room Very clean Very friendly helpful staff who explained where the bus stop was to get into Avila Literally 2 minute walk and frequent buses think fare was one euro Great breakfast Private parking easily accessible Definitely recommend We also had a large terrace with table and chairs No scenic view but so cheap that it is definitely worth staying there. We would have paid twice what we did and still have considered it good value.
We could not work the shower..had to get someone to the room to show us Think maybe bathrooms could be redesigned as didn,t like the sit in shower booth
Very helpful and helpful staff & good facilities. Pleasant veranda and nice to have drinks outside before having a meal in their samll restaurant..
It was a little far out of the town & so it was not possible to pop back from the town in the middle of the day.
Service, hospitality, and cleanliness. Restaurant in hotel just as amazing. Perfect location easy to travel using local bus.
That I could not take them all with me.
Lived up to its 4* status.Buffet breakfast excellent.Burger in the bar was awesome.
Had difficulty finding hotel due to detail on map being poor. Only arrived after using Google maps.
A large room with an additional lounge area. This feature should be highlighted!
A little far to walk into the town centre for this old couple.
not in old town and about 3 km drive, but it's much better than stay at a poor hotel in the center as you can drive easy and find free parking at old town exits.
if you arrive by car, you should visit this hotel !
We loved everything about this hotel. The room is huge, it is clean, the shower is great and the wifi is fine. Thumbs up!
nothing bad to report.
the hotel was new v clean & great value
car parking no hotel car park so parked in the road
A great value at two nights for 99 euros with breakfast. Had car so distance from old town was no problem: five minutes. And there was no charge for parking. Staff was wonderful. Room was incredibly spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful.
The spa-like shower. Too cumbersome to operate. The hotel feels more like a business hotel than a residential hotel. These are minor dislikes compared to the overall value.
Spacious room; near motorway.
Ordinary business hotel in suburb; not worth a four star; small bathroom.
Magnificent suites at an unbeatable price!
Somewhat concerned about locks on doors to little balcony, since we were on first floor.
Lovely, clean rooms. Very comfortable, big beds. Attentive staff. Secure parking. Convenient for transport links to Avila Centre.
No tea and coffee making facility in room.
