Location & staff
Uncomfortable bed & pillows
The hotel's position is perfect, in a spacious square but very close to shopping, the Giralda and the many excellent restaurants Sevilla offers.
Unfortunately on this occasion we stayed the very many kiosks for the book fair were being transported into place, erected and connected to mains power. This carried on 24 hours a day and meant it was extremely noisy at night and difficult to sleep.
Reception staff could have been friendlier.
location is excellent, 15 mins walk away from everything, very close to bars etc. Room was decent.
internet in the room was extra 6€/day, and room was a bit noisy
I didn't like the idea the hotel staff recommending a resturtant, which was a very expensive and the food was absolutely disgusting, And I thought it would have been nice to have free wifi service in our room at that price.
beautiful room, free upgrade, friendly staff, nice cocktails, affordable roomservice, perfect location, quiet rooms
room was very hot, the terrace was closed although the weather was nice, you have to pay for wifi in your room (6 euros a day)
Excellent location, nice hotel. Breakfast was good.
The aircon in the room didn't work. Some (not all) of the staff were a bit abrupt. The internet connection is awful—almost impossible to stay in touch with emails etc from the room.
Insufficient lighting in room No mirror in bedroom TV badly placed
Location. Within walking distance of everywhere New bedroom
No English TV, just BBC 24hr news. Rooftop terrace closed Only one easy chair (which wasn't so easy).
Right in the heart of this beautiful city you have this relaxed, unpretentious yet elegant hotel. The staff were efficient and the room comfortable. What's not to like in this price range?
Free wifi does not work in room
The room was nice but The bed was far too hard!! I thought I was sleeping on The floor.
A Bert nice Hotel with a perfect location
Great location near the cathedral; watching the sun set over the old city on the roof top terrace.
We had a superior room at the front of the hotel: Friday and Saturday nights were very noisy outside when the local bars closed.
Location, and where it was located. :) Clean, quiet (small) but comfortable room. Rooftop bar had wonderful views!
Concierge was rude and did not call to make a reservation for me, because he said that I should have made an RSVP weeks ago. (The concierge in the evening phoned and I had an appointment for that evening!) The hotel was nearly empty and instead of hooking us up w/ an upgraded or nicer room, they left us in same small room... there's nothing wrong with that, but an opportunity was certainly missed (I could be raving about them now!?!)
Best cosmopolitan cocktail in some time.
Magnificent rooftop terrace Location
Poor soundproofing in bedrooms Poor quality pillows Paying for wifi
I think any hotel that doesn´t have free wi-fi should reconsider. It is as necessary as a shower. The wi-fi in the lobby didn´t work and six euro per day for internet access is really a joke.
Location, room, roof top!
Good location Comfortable rooms Reasonable breakfast (though we didn't pay for it...) Clean
Got put in room 401 on first night and got virtually no sleep. This room is directly beneath the stairs to the roof terrace and the toilets and until around 02:00, there was considerable noise from people ascending and descending the stairs and using the toilets! We'd booked a Junior Suite and weren't convinced that this room was of that grade. Reception staff were rather aloof and not very interested, but did agree to move us and when we pushed for it, provided a complimentary breakfast for the duration of our stay. We moved to another room and the tariff on the back of the door in the new room was higher, suggesting that our original room (401) wasn't of the same grade that we'd booked and paid for. The new room was far quieter (overlooking Plaza Nueva too), but the disinterested approach of the staff soured the overall experience and if we return to Seville, we'd stay elsewhere
View of the giralda from the roof terrace
Close enough to all the great sights without being in the middle of the chaos of the cathedral area. The hotel has a great little pib on the ground floor that serves Guiness on tap and tasty cocktails so we were both happy. It also has a lovely roof top bar with lovely views. A little gem of a place!
Location was excellent, close to all the main attractions and restaurants. Comfort and service in bar, lounge area. Plenty of choice for breakfast with good quality. Hotel general areas and room were very clean and well maintained
Only disappointed was the fact that the roof terrace was closed for the 3 days of our stay.
Wonderful refurbished old hotel in Sevilla's city center. Excellent service, very friendly staff Would book again
Your own "soundproof room" comment on our confirmation is a joke! The room doors could not be closed without a loud bang - WD40 needed- which is not conducive to good sleep in a busy hotel. Carpeted corridors would also reduce noise levels.
The location was excellent. Comfortable lounge area decorated in an english manor house style. Very nice English pub style bar downstairs and wonderful bar on the roof with spectacular views of seville. We visited in September and the restaurant for leavening meals was close.
The staff were helpful but indifferent so we were not made to feel welcomed. The bedroom was lovely and spacious but the bed and bedding need replacing. It was also very noisy but tolerable for the convenience of the excellent location. Breakfast was not included in the price so all in all we did not get value for money.
