The staff at the hotel were fantastic and v helpful with restaurant suggestions and sightseeing tips. Would stay again. Quite a basic hotel and would have liked a bar to meet for a drink, snack as travelling with older people.

The reception staff spoke English and were very helpful. They reponded to my special requests regarding luggage/checking-in/safe use without any problems. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. The double room was small - not suitable for a stay of more than two-three days. 'City-view' means 'street view'. Coffee/tea/water facilities in the room would have been nice.

The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, the standard of cleanliness was very high and the rooms were cleaned and linen changed daily and it is quite close to every thing. The rooms are a bit small but we didn't mind. The air con didn't work and we had to leave a window open, this cooled the room down well but I don't no how effective it would be during a summer month. The worst thing was the location although it was central to everything and all places could be walked to, the area along the Las Ramblas was very dodgy at night time.

Location is great. Near the Metro station and Bus stop, Plaza of Catalunya and Ramblas street. Shopping, Restrants, Museums，easy to find everything and move anywhere. Breakfast served Hot and Cold foods enough for us €10 per person. Staff is also helpful. Kept our baggages,Teach any location, Greeting every time. We were satisfied with all. We will back to Hotel Inglaterra Barcelona again.

The street of the hotel is so close to Plaza del Catalunya and to the street La Rambla. The room, the beds and the bathroom were clean. The hotel employees can talk English very well and they were very kind. Also they kept our passports in a safe without a charge. The wireless internet were free and fast enough to do your works. There was a weird smell in the corridors like plastic, but the rooms were clean without any smells. Also the sink was blocked a little...

The Inglaterra was in the best possible location for us to see the city. It was very accessible. The staff were very helpful and friendly, offering to book restaurants, showing us places of interest on the map, etc. We used the complimentary safety deposit box to keep our money, passports safe. A nice breakfast in the morning, plenty to choose from. The room we had was small, but comfortable, and although there was a busy street outside, the doors kept any noise outside.

The location is wonderful, just a block or so off the Rambla. Our room was very nice. We stayed twice before and after a weekend, the first night the upgraded our room for no charge and it had a patio area which was very nice. The hotel has an upscale, sort of modern feel. The staff were very helpful. No in room safe. There is a safety deposit box in the lobby for use though.

The hotel Inglaterra is in a fantastic location for visiting Barcelona, bus stops and the metro are literally on the door step, You can visit the whole of Barcelona virtually 24 hrs a day, the public transport is superb. The roof terrace is great for a bit of down time from sight seeing. All the staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. If I was going to Barcelona, I would not stay anywhere else.

We received a free upgrade upon our arrival, which we very much appreciated. Our room was clean and comfortable. One thing to be aware of is that, despite what the description implies, this hotel is not actually on Plaza Catalunya; in fact it is closer to the nearly Plaza Universitat. However, this is a good thing. Plaza Catalunya is a bit crazy/loud, and being a little removed from it is nice, as it is only a few minutes walk away. The central location is perfect for exploring all the areas of Barcelona.

Great stop in Barcelona for us with four kids. On our way from Carcassonne to Granada. The triple rooms fit an adult and two teenagers easily. We have kids from 9-17. Clean, professional staff, comfortable. Highly recommend! No coffee in room, we needed some for our 8am train to Cordoba
