I like dining room and fantastic breakfast
The restaurant wasn't worst the price
Everything: nice rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. We received all information and guidance about places around, much better than information given in tourist offices. Excellent restaurant.
We had nice superior double room. I would like to have more place to store clothes.
Settings and surrounds outstanding. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Onsite restaurant excellent. Bed comfortable. Nice toileteries. Fantastic view.
The room are big and very nice furnished .
The breakfast has very low quality, just the cheapest products. The bathroom ist very small and not comfortable.
Perfect location wonderful service and superb dining
Really beautiful location in the Basque countryside
The most beautiful hotel we stayed in on our seven week journey through Spain and France. Beauty in every space. Gorgeous rural setting with lovely vistas. We dined in the garden and in the dining room. Gorgeous. It's a grand house turned into an exquisite hotel. The best !
Our navigation system sent us to the wrong side of the valley . Roads are tiny .
We loved how carefully everything is done...We enjoyed very much the food ...great idea to have such a good restaurant in the hotel! We loved the peace, quiteness and the beautiful landscape surrounding the hotel
Excellent food in restaurant Very nice breakfast Smart building
Drinks a little expensive
The surroundings were stunning. Staff relaxed and friendly. Food very enjoyable.
No negatives at all.
Great setting, very helpful staff, furnishings tasteful and stylish combining the old with the new
Wonderfully restored and modernised old building - feels very luxurious whilst retaining lots of charme. The quality of food is outstanding and is Michelin-star standard - make sure you try both the restaurant menu and the 'quick & easy' bar menu. Extremely comfortable and relaxing stay in nice remote countryside (you will need a car to get there and to get around if you want to explore the local area). This is a really stunning place to stay and I would highly recommend it.
Slightly understaffed - the staff were extremely helpful but could've done with some extra help.
We thought the building was wonderful. Beautiful interiors and very well designed to suit the age of the building. The bedroom was lovely and had everything you would expect of a hotel of this standard. The restaurant although it had a limited menu was wonderful the food was very good we had the lamb and it was cooked to perfection. We would definitely book this hotel again.
Some of the staff especially in the bar were not very good. I think the girl working in the bar had never done the job before! Also the restaurant could invest in better waiting staff to compliment the wonderful ambience and food.
Beautiful hotel, very tastefully furnished. Restaurant was also very good.
Bed comfort, matress was a bit too firm but this is a personal preference.
We stayed at the hotel one night when driving through the Basque country and we couldn't be more happy with our stay The location is spectacular with it's beautiful rural surroundings and the hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and although the menu was limited we still enjoyed a delicious meal. The breakfast buffet was amazing and offered a wide range of alternatives and freshly squeezed orange juice. Overall a wonderful experience!
The palace, the staff and location. The restaurant and choice of wines were very good although the menu was a bit limited.
Few outside sitting areas. The weather was lovely even though it was November but everything had been put away.
Really beautiful and comfortable palace with the surrounding countryside providing the perfect setting. Only 30mins drive to San Sebastián. 45 mins to Bilboa. Everything was just great. Not hard to find as we put the town location into the Gps and there were signs from the town intersection to the hotel. Hotel also provided us with plenty of info on how to arrive.
Beautifully appointed and decorated hotel. Fabulous large bedroom. Staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Restaurant is outstanding. The chef - a charming guy - likes to meet his guests and talk about his dishes and the way he prepares them. The "black" fillet steak is brilliant!! All highly recommended.
Not quite as tranquil as we were expecting, partly due to the lane which runs alongside the property.
location, staff friendly especially our waitress from Getaria, restaurant for dinner, bed very comfortable
glass door into bathroom ( no privacy between bedroom and toilet), easy to walk into glass doors, breakfast staff not very attentive ( need to clear dirty dishes from table and ask if want more coffee), lots of barking dogs near hotel
Very nice place with excellent location for tourists with the cars. Very good staff and restoraunt.o
It woul be absolutely awesome to have bath suites in the room.
We liked everything from the spacious lovely rooms through the nooks found on the grounds for chats and drinks. All of the staff knocked themselves out to make us feel valued as customers. Once there you feel a sense of peace.
There is little not to like but one would never leave if they added a lap pool and a few bikes.
the staff is friendly and nice, the room has enough free space, and the bed is comfortable. it is quite good place to stay for taking relax.
the first 2 days the road to the hotel is closed and then the detour is a little difficult for driving.
This is an exceptionally well converted 17th century palace into a gracious hotel. The surrounding ccuntryside is rural and mountainous. All of this adds up to a very pleasant and uniquely memorable stay.
From either direction one must passover a very challenging four-digit road. As we say in the States, the road has enough switccbacks to break a snake's back But it is wrth the trip.
