Hotel Isabel  

The location of the hotel couldn't be better if you are looking for somewhere central to all the local shops, bars and restaurants, and of course the beach, which is directly opposite. The staff were helpful and courteous. Our room was very well cleaned every day and all the little bathroom extras replenished regularly which we thought was very generous. Breakfast was varied and of a good standard, and there was something to suit absolutely everyone, from bacon and egg to pastries, cereals, yoghurts and cold meats and cheese, and lots of lovely fruit. We opted for a superior deluxe room which had a very large corner balcony and was very spacious for the two of us, it was light and airy and we enjoyed a view of the sea as we woke up every morning. The bed was very comfortable, unlike most hotel beds it was soft. The free wifi was reliable but just a note, if like us you have more than one laptop/tablet/smartphone you will need to obtain more than one access code, and you will need to get a new code after a week if you are staying longer. All in all it was a lovely hotel, well located and as it is smaller than most of the other hotels on the sea front, you will experience a more small and friendly feel.

Whilst the location of the hotel is very central, it is worth noting it is on a main road. If you opt for a room with a sea view at the front of the hotel, you may find it very noisy at night, especially at the weekend when the town is filled with local weekend party-lovers. We were subjected to music blaring from the beach one night until 4am. The traffic noise of a night is also constant and there are several rubbish collections and bottle banks being emptied, so our sleep was regularly disturbed. If you opt to close the doors and windows and use the air conditioning, you may also be disturbed if your unit is loud and in need of a service, as ours was! With regard the pool area, in our opinion it really was far too small considering the number of rooms in the hotel. There were only about 20 beds and they were very close together. The pool was quite warm however and it was nice to swim in outside of the weekend, during which it was filled with young splash-about children, or old stag-do weekenders! It is also worth noting that an extra charge is made for the safe and the fridge, 2.50 Euros per day for the safe and 3.00 Euros for the fridge. I understand the safe, but I thought it a bit much to charge extra for a fridge in a four star hotel. One other thing that disturbed us somewhat was the cigarette smoke drifting into our room from other balconies which as non-smokers was quite annoying as we had to keep all the windows and doors shut most of the time.

We were with the four of us in two superior rooms, great view on the sea, wonderful rooms (mattressess a bit hard), Breakfast in the breakfast room was very, very good. The breakfast room in beautiful colours, very relaxed location. The beach was just accross the (local) road. Wonderful stay

Al else was perfect in the hotel and I would recommend to everybody. Except for the internet facilities. WIfi was free, but indeed, almost non-existent. We were on the third and fourth floor and could not receive internet. I run my own company so I need to stay in touch which meant I had to spend quite a bit of time in the lobby to catch up on emails etc. I would not stay at hotel Isabel again for that specific reason. One other thing is that you need a key for the safe and a number code for internet. No problem, but would be good if they could tell you when you arrive, or anote in the room instead of having to ask for everything separately

The hotel is very close to the beautiful beach and promenade. The bars, resturants and shops are also within a short walk. The hotel itself is immaculate and the breakfast is excellent.

If I had one thing to mention negatively about the hotel, is that the bed was made up of two single beds that were not attached and pushed apart very easily but on the positive side, my wife and I slept together on one or the other which made it a very romantic stay.

Relaxed friendly environment, on the sea front but no noise at night. Plenty of restaurants close at hand.

Great hotel, directly on beach, have stayed here several times whilst working in costa del sol. Quality hotel and good value for money.

We were on the front line and the vista is spectactular. Were pleasantly surprised that tea and coffee making facilities were available (contary to previous comments) but this may because we had an upgraded room. Also pleased that bbc1 &2 could be recieved ( not very often in Spanish Hotels). For mid October the weather was wonderful.

For such a large room we felt that the bed could have been bigger. A king size would have been more appropiate. The only other niggle was that during the day it was difficult to get service at the bar/cafe. On one occasion I went to reception to be told that someone was coming!.

Superb location,spectacular views over the sea,probably the cleanest hotel Ihad ever stayed in ,staff very pleasant and breakfast was really good ,would recommend it totally.

Location, close to the beach, friendly personal, clean room, nice breakfast.

No free private parking, wifi Internet was terrible in the room, though it was good in public areas.

We would be regular visitors to this area and love the relaxing atmosphere of the place the proximity to the beach and the wonderful restaurants.

Really could not fault the hotel but the one complaint I would have is that you have to pay Euro 3.50 a day for the fridge especially when the temperature is 35 degrees outside it seems a bit much for a 4 star hotel.

Have stayed there few times before, nice seafront location,no entertainment, its quite expensive compared to the other sol Hotels nearby which offer Spa and Enterainment every evening and are cheaper for their hotel rates.

We paid for friends to stay for one night which cost 116 Euros for a side double room and did not include breakfast !

Nice and clean hotel with good location.The internet passwords were given just for one day at the time,which was strange. Breakfast ok.

We really enjoyed staying at hotel Isabel. Room was very tidy and clean and the sea view from the balcony was incomparable. The hotel was very quiet and very near to the beach and to the shopping centre as well. The hotel staff was helpful and the breakfast was delicious and there was variety of products. We would recommend this hotel to couples not to families.

We were a little disappointed with the room air condition. It worked only when we were in the room and the balcony door must have been closed. Therefore, when we came back from our trips it took us quite some time to cool the room again. We couldn´t have dinner at the hotel.
