Very good location in the old city, near cafes, restaurants and the river; a pleasant walk to the museums; very helpful proprietor.

The place is rather cluttered in an eccentric way with old furniture and knick-knacks.

Igone, the owner is a great host. She offered me to choose between two rooms, but I loved the first one she showed me. The building itself is an old, stone building within the center of the old town, really a beautiful place to stay. The room and the bathroom were spotless clean, with the bed made and towels changed every day. Bring cash with you as it is the preffered payment method.

Steep stairs (without lift) might be a challenge for elderly people or for those with heavy luggage.

The host was extremely helpful, pointing us in the right direction and informing about local interest. The hotel was personalized and a bit quirky. A pleasure to stay in. Thank you Igone.

The lady (ower?) helped us a lot with getting the bus time- table , which is not available even at the ALAS bus stationin in Bilbao. And the instruction of the way to go to the places is just exactly to the point. Room :rather sapcious for the hostel and decorated to her taste. You feel as if you are staying in someone's home. There are many bars nearby. You can leave you luggae befre & after the check-in/out time/

Location right in the heart of the old town. Great quirky and characterful decor (and original features) makes this place feel like you are a guest in a home. Value for money

Location, owner, comfy bed

Thin walls and quite small room for the price compared to others not much dearer. We had a 5 star room in Salamanca for 65 euros for example.

The hotel was located in the old city, an easy walk from the Guggenheim Museum. There were lots of good restaurants nearby, interesting shops, friendly local people. The staff was so helpful and accommodating with all our questions and needs. We wished we could have stayed a few more days.

Absolutely charming, very helpful, friendly welcome, location was perfect to explore shops & restaurants. Decoration was pleasingly different from average hotel, it was full of character & very personal touches. We intend to return.

Nothing to do with the hotel but had to park in the nearby underground car park which was very expensive..BUT It was very secure.

I stayed in this otel for 2 days paying 60eu for a night w/o breakfast. It was a busy season. It has a excellent location. It's in the (not near) Casco Viejo and the next street to Siete Calles. Perfect spot. It is easy to find, tough if you go there with car you may enter calle pelota instead of Calle Santa maria. Manager lady was very friendy, speaks English and French.

I stayed in room no 5, just next to kitchen, it was noisy after 07.15. This hotel is located at the 1st floor of a building, so there are plenty of neighbours and they are quite noisy during the weekdays. No parking available. Have a underground parking lot 500 mt away, with 20eu/day price. Bed was a bit weird weird, you can feel the coils on your back when you lay. I didn't like it. Toiletaries were poor. No hair dryer. Have a very small shower with a curtain that sticks to your body when you try to turn around.

This didn't feel like any other hotel, it was like you were staying in someone's home - from the decor to the breakfast to the way we were treated. The double room we got was very comfortable and it looked like a little cottage in the city. The woman at the desk was very helpful and personable, she was always willing to help us with anything we needed. The location is very central - we were in the old town and we could walk to the Guggenheim and La Ribera Market. The day we stayed in Bilbao, there was some sort of festival going on. We were given a nice room with a balcony to the street, so we were able to enjoy the music (and party) right from the room - but there are also interior rooms for those who are light sleepers.

I would say the shower could be better as it was hard not to wet the floor whilst inside, but that's about it. *I didn't like the fact we checked in for only 1 night...if I knew how great the hotel and Bilbao was, I would have loved to stay longer.

I was with a friend and we loved the location in the heart of old Bilbao near hundreds of bars and restaurants, also near the cathedral, the market and the river, with the Guggenheim and the rest of the city in walkable distance. The owner, Igone, made us very welcome and the interiors are decorated with love and imagination. Our room faced an internal courtyard and was very quiet and comfortable. I cannot fault this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful (and spoke excellent English). The room was so homey-it was nice to go out in the rain and go "home" to a warm and comfortable room. The heaters worked quickly and the room was large and clean. The breakfast in the morning was good-tea/coffee and an assortment of bread products (and fruit and yogurt, if desired). We wish we had more time to explore Bilbao and stay in this comfortable hotel. We found it to be very quiet-there are only about 9 rooms and we were on the back side away from the pedestrian old town streets (but the location was fantastic!).

It's a bit hard to find, even using a gps on walking mode :p Just make sure you're looking at the street numbers on either side. To see the signs, you need to look up a floor-they're not in eyesight but on the first balcony up.

Very nice room, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is just in the center of the city.

For the price this is a wonderful place to stay, the location is perfect, the proprietor is fabulous and the decor is entertaining and lovely and quirky. We will be back

Friendly and welcoming, great location, comfy bed. We stayed here for 1 night, then went to San Sebastian for the weekend - she was kind enough to let us leave our bags for the day on Sunday (2 days after we checked out!), so we could tour Bilbao in comfort before we took our evening flight home.

Our room was to the street with a few bars, so there understandibly was some noise - but it was very bearable.

Great location in heart of the old town and surrounded by some of the best pintxo bars. Very friendly & helpful owner. Room was large, clean, very comfortable and quiet. Hotel & room are full of antique furniture, pictures, plants etc. Had a very pleasant, confortable stay.
