For a two-star apartment Doña Elvira was the best we can get. As you have to be aware of those two stars, there is nothing to be disappointed about. The location may not be right in the middle of Málaga´s center, but in a three minute walk you will be at the great shopping street. Shopping: - 2 Minutes to the supermarket, wich has a big market Hall next to it (opening times: Mo-Sa ~8am - 3pm!!) - 2 Minutes to the theater - 5 Minutes to the Plaza de la Merced (where Picasso was born) - 15 Minutes through a beatiful park to the Information Center and beach Activities: We've been in Granada (spontaniously by coach), did a bycicle tour along the beach, went to the beautiful botanical garden, hiked up to the Gibralfaro (with the best view over Málaga!!), and much more. Food: As we were going to travel a lot, we decided to live in an apartment instead of a hotel - wich was the right decision. If you are lazy or just want to get some real spanisch food, there are many places you can easily go. Also the bars are quiet good ;) For your cooking times: you can get everything from the supermarket and the market hall next door. Before I tell you all of our holiday stories, let´s make this short. Málaga is a really great city to visit with plenty of things to do and easy ways to travel around. The location of Doña Elvira is ok as next to it is a building site - wich in turn doesn´t matter because you are outside all the time and if you are inside you don´t hear much of it! The staff was really (!) nice and we had nothing to complain about. ** Stars. Should be ***. Nothing to complain about!

The apartments are situated in 5 minutes walk from the historical center. It has a small kitchen and all utensils, as well as bed linen and towels. There are a lot of small shops hereabout so we could buy all the necessary products and things easily. From our French balcony opened up a picturesque view to a dirty active construction and a half-destroyed old building. In addition, one more negative impression that we had after 11 night station at these apartments is that nobody came for housekeeping in spite of their promise to clean the room 2 times for 12 days. We had to wash the towels ourselves and even my sms sent to the coordinator of the apartments with the complaint didn't change anything. It was very damp in the room all the time, so it was impossible to dry our clothes after washing. The side streets were defecated on dog's excrements and there was a smell of urine because of local alcoholics' urination on them.

Apartment was perfectly adequate for our purposes, on the edge of the old town in a residential area. Easy access to the train station going to an from the airport. We were able to leave our luggage in the apartment on our last day, although this was only possible because there was no other people coming to use it. We stayed in 1 Calle Alvarez. If there are 4 people sharing be aware that the bedroom is open plan to the rest of the apartment. The 2nd bed is on a mezzanine level with a tight spiral staircase. The shower room is basic with the sink out in the bedroom area. Weekend was fairly noisy late at night due people coming home from bars in the city. Quiet Monday to Thursday.

It was in walking distance of the centre and great resturants. Malaga had lots to see and do. Easy to travel to other places such as Seville and Granda by coach or train The immediate area around the appartment was scruffy and very noisy through the night. The apartment was not clean even though we were there a week and there were no cleaning materials. Towels were not changed. There were cockroches in apartment.

The central location of the appartment. Light traffic on the Road and was quiet. The Bathroom. Not shown on the pictures but the shower room was not even big enough to contain the sink which was in the bedroom. No ventilation. Quality of the bedding. Duvet, and pillows really on the worn side. The furniture was cheap and the coffee table had the laminate edging hanging off in four corners and was dangerous. No kettle. No where to hang your clothes, the one wardrobe had no rail only shelves. The sun terrace shown in pictures does not show that its open plan area for four appartments divided by low walls so not private. Overall for the cost of 390 euros for 5 nights out of season, the standard was not right and left feeling we had really over paid.

The position was fine. The apartment, including the bathroom, was very clean. We were met. as arranged, and did not have to wait. The staff were pleasant to deal with. The advert says the apartment includes a private balcony, and a washing machine. There was no balcony, as we know it, just French doors, that open on to a tiny balcony big enough for a few plants - certainly not for sitting out. (anyhow it was too cold to sit out) Washing machine??? We relied on there being one, and it didn't exist. We asked the office and they said our apartment doesn't have one, even though we pointed out it is advertised as having one. They didn't know there was meant to be one. They offered us to use the adjoining apartment's machine on the day when the apartment became vacant, while the cleaners were there, but anyhow there was nowhere to hang the washing, and the timing didn't suit us as we were on vacation and out touring. There was no kettle; they went out immediately and bought us one. There was no place to store our suitcases. There was hanging space, and two high up wire shelves, but no chest of drawers for proper clothes storage. Parking?? We arranged to take on site parking, as described in the advert. When we arrived they said the on site parking was not available. They said it was flooded. Then they said my husband wouldn't be able to open the door. I don't think it existed. They took us somewhere else to an underground parking in another of their facilities. It was a TEN minute walk to and from our apartment, each time we wanted to go out or when we came back. Besides the window to the street, the room had an internal window onto the hallway and staircase. The lights on the hallway stayed on 24/7. There was no blind for this window. I would say the apartment was fine if you didn't mind sleeping with the "sun shining in" all the time. There was no way to block out the light. The person from the agency who met us at the apartment and gave us the keys did not know a word of English. Luckily we could communicate a little in "schoolboy" French.

Nice room, nice furniture, clean. The surrounding streets were not especially nice (small dirty back street). The balcony was not a proper balcony, i e very narrow, not to sit on and facing the narrow back street. We had great problems with the key to the street door. It didn't quite fit. The staff should have checked that before we checked in. We could have contacted them of course, but we didn't. We missed the service that you get in a proper hotel (everyday cleaning etc). The towels never dried because of damp air and we had the same for four days. They were very wet in the end. The television didn't work (never contacted the staff about that either as it wasn't important for us).

Nothing at all. Very unpleasant. The area they are located seemed dangerous and threatening. Not only that but the first apartment we were shown (the one we had booked) was directly opposite a building site with all-night pile-drivers and machinery and lights. We were shocked! The parking we had booked was closed due to the building work and we were offered a tiny underground parking space some distance away. We were then shown another apartment around the corner which had drunken men sitting on the doorstep. The apartment reeked of cigarette smoke.

The location is very close to start visiting the old Malaga; can be done by foot. The apartment is clean and the owners/staff helpful. Streets are very noisy around the apartment building. The elevator is small, only for one person without luggage. During our stay, the elevator was not working ; the apartment is on the 3rd floor.

Room is very small for 5-6 adults There are 2 rooms that allow 2 in each room, but the beds are very small, and one is broken. So hardly to sleep. A lot of broken and very old furnitures, very unsafe to stay No blanket for all Smell very bad Chargning is too high, not a good value for money We are very disappointed. Booking.com should review the price tag as this apartment charging too high compared to the value the customer get. I pay Euro 190 for 2 nights. This acutally should cost me only Euro 50 compared to other hotels or apartments I have been stayed before (and booked via Booking.com). Very disappointed.

Very spacious, the roof terrace was brilliant place to unwind in the evening with a good view of the city. Fairly quiet. Clean and modern. Supermarket close by Some of the kitchen equipment needed replacing (ie chopping boards) Lots of building work taking place so a little noisy during the day. Some of the area was a little run down

Good location, close to center. very friendly staff. More small shops in the next street. Apartment clean and comfortable. New building. Aircon. Small balcony. Hairdryer. Towels provided. We could check-in earlier. Surrounding smells because of dogs. Internet is not always available. Contact person can not speak English well. Right now there is a construction next to the apartment, so it makes noise. Because of this the underground parking place of the apartment is hard to reach. TV picture quality is not good. Kitchen not well equipped, no microvawe.

The location was fab very central. There was a washing machine and adequate kitchen facilities although a toaster would have been useful. Apartment was roomy and clean nice big bathroom. Every morning the power went off. Obviously some kind of electrical fault as we were told to reset and it came straight on again. The opening of the apartment door was bit difficult. No window to outside and no balcony or terrace.

These were nice apartments. Pleasant surroundings with fridge, cooker, showering facilities all in working order. Location was excellent. The air-conditioning in the upstairs floor overlooking the terrace broke down on our first day of what was a 12 day vacation. The air- connditioning was not repaired during the remainder of our stay. With temperatures in the mid 30s the value of our stay was very much reduced as it was extremely hot both during the day and at night.

Good location - around 20 min. to the Malagueta beach. Close to shops, supermarket, etc. The street where the apartments were was dirty and stinky, but when we have crossed doorstep everything has been perfect, clean. The apartment was nice, spacious, with big terrace - perfect for breakfast and dinner also with sun beds, table and chairs, 2 bathrooms, but one was smaller, but still better have two for 5 people. Really valuable for that money. The staff - Emi - 100 points! She was amazing, very helpful, always ready to help and answer my questions, good job! These apartments are equipped with all basic stuff that you need for comfortable staying, not luxury. Like for basic cooking, cleaning, washing, etc... What I didn't like was the stinky street where the apartment was. But like I mentioned, apartment was clean and good. Just that street. And also our apartment didn't have separate rooms, so you are loosing some kind of privacy, but for us - bunch of friends - it was OK.

3 minutes away was a lovely town centre Not suitable for a family. The glass separating wall was not a wall only a divider. No curtains to block out light. White walls and furniture not good for a young family. No outside light, only onto an enclosed courtyard. On a dirty smelly street.
