The location is very good, so in every evening we walk around in the historical centre which is full with people till late. The room looked exactly like pictures, clean, new with all facilities. The supermarkets are close one near Cervantes theater and one at the intersection between Calle Alamos with Calle Dos Aceras. The bus station is at 20 min walking distance (Alameda Principal square).
Perfect location Perfect surroundings Perfect facilities Perfect holiday!!!!!!
It' s really located in the city center. Shops and bara around.
Some days before the arrival they send you an email with the information to how reach the apartment
if I had to describe our stay in APTOS DOÑA ELVIRA in one word it would be: AWFUL! First of all despite we arrived at 12.30 (and it is said that the room would be ours after 12) the apartment was still not cleaned. In addition to that after "the cleaning" we found that a couch was spotted with something red, most of the pots were so dirty that we had to re-wash them!! It was said to me by email that we will have something to put our clothes on to dry, but there was nothing like that!! We were forced to put towels and other clothes in the bathroom but, since there are no windows or vents in it, they dry only within several days!! In addition to that it is impossible to make fresh air enter in the room because the only windows we had were overlooking the smallest courtyard I have ever seen, where nor wind or light could ever pass!! In the web site is written that there was a double bed, but it was so small that the two people sleeping in it every morning found themesleves covered with bruises because they collide during the night! In the apartment there is no safe, so we had to hide our money in strange places!! The walls are so thin that we heard every movement the other guests did in their apartments like they are in ours, and there is also a lamp, that was impossible to turn off, right in front of one of the windows. These two things make our sleep nearly impossible!! For several days the wifi didn't worked, and also during the others it worked very poorly. They will promise you that a person (Emi) will be always available at need and to text to her: I wrote several messages (for example to fix the wifi), and I hated the fact that I HAD TO PRAY HER to answer to my sms. EVERY TIME I wrote something to her she NEVER answered, unless I wrote "Emi please, answer to me", thus making me spend lots of money in unnecessary texts. She was extremely unkind to us, it seems like she was doing a favour in talking to me. IT'S HER JOB!!
No bed but a sofa bed. No wardrobe
The apt was very close to the old square: restraunts, museums, castle, beach, bullring. Also the apts kitchen was well equiped and easy to function in. Great all around.
The neighborhood drunk toothless woman who sat on our stoop every evening. The owners if couse had no responsibility for this.
Location, personal and comfortable apartment.
A little bit noisy, but it is everywhere in Spain
Inside the apartment was good.
Location were this apartment is isolated. There is no body to complaint or request if anything is required. It seems to be unsafe place despite no news of any incident
Very assable to the old town. Location was very good
Washing machine was faulty from beginning. Promised a new machine, to see the washing machine in our unit switched with a washing machine in another unit. Thus becoming someone else's problem.
Great location, staff member who met us friendly and helpful. Kitchen facilities allowed breakfast"in" before starting each day's sightseeing.
close to places of interest best staff I've ever dealt with hands down. They answered every email and were helpful beyond compare! Emi and Jose really care about their customers! Hands down excellent people to do business with!
bugs in the room without the windows open. little contruction noise outside, of course not the fault of the apartment
Location was quite well, not far from center
Photos on site and reality are two different things. This is the worst booking I have made on booking.com unfortunately. Didn't meet my expectations at all. Our apartment was on the ground floor and windows were into enclosed court. As results - we didn't have any natural light in the flat. When you wake up at 5 AM, at 9 AM, 11 AM - you feel the same - it's night. Furniture in dirty, bathroom is dirty. We asked to change appartment and they proposed to move to another one in 5 days, but didn't execute their proposal. Think twice before booking appartment here.
Clean and nice apartment, great location to walk everywhere. The hostess spoke intelligible english. Air conditioning and WiFi worked well.
Loud and a bit restless area (but we faced no harm and slept well).
Located in the city center, with kitchen equipments, big fridge, wasching machine. You can walk to everywhere from there. You can walk to the train station, Alcazaba, Gibralfaro, Malagueta beach too, and you can find a lots of bars and pleasure options around there. You can get a fresh food in a small supermarkets, and there is some more biggest market within 5 minutes of walking time.
It is in the centrum
It is very noisy - the cars and the neighborhood
Very clean and spacious
The location was great, very close to the town centre and not too far from the beach.
The street is quite noisy at night and early morning, we didn't mind because we wanted to be in town.
It was a different apartment from the pictures on brokig.com . The bedrooms upstairs were not the same.
The apartments were very near to town and a lovely square where we had dinner most nights. Distance to town, sea front and bus stops easily walkable. Very good fruit and veg shop around the corner, excellent bakery/cakes down the road plus supermarket. Emmi who oversees the apartments was very friendly and helpful - no kettle or toaster in either apartment which she soon sorted out. On the whole good value for money and would stay again off season but not when weather is warmer - see opposite box.
The huge building site opposite was interesting to watch but when the weather warms up it would not be possible to have the French doors to balcony open because of the noise and dust. Building works begin at seven and end at eight during the week. I think potential renters should be made aware of this. We could not get access to the roof terrace. The ground floor apartments are subject to a lot of disruption from front door and iron gate constantly in use - very noisy. Apartments on upper floors a better choice.
Quiet apartment Warm Good kitchen facilities and table Comfortable bed Good space Power shower Location a few minutes away from Plaza de la Merced
Facing interior patio so little light, good if you are spending most of your time outside There was a glass window on top of the door, you could see into apartment if you crouched down on first floor stairs. Unlikely anyone would do this, but would recommend that this is covered in future to respect privacy. Very quiet/dark road at night, seemed safe but it is not a busy well lit road.
Location, helpful staff and beautiful country.
Within walking distance to both town centre and football stadium.
Noisy neighboors during the week-end. Thin walls. Little daylight/no view.
The location was excellent, close to the town, not far from the sea or bus stops. It did overlook a building site on one side, but it was interesting to watch and didn't bother us at all. The roof top terrace was great. For a two star it was great value for money .
Nothing to report here
When we arrived the electric system was partly out of order wich resulted in no hot water the first 24 hours and no functioning heatingsystem the first 3 days. The apartement was noisy, cold and damp and overall very unpleasent. We have suggested a 50% refund of the paid rent but we have had no reaction at all to that suggestion. No more Dona Elvira for us!
Location, everywhere was within walking distance. The ambience of the flat was nice. The beds were comfortable and clean. The privacy and space were important
The electrical circuits couldn't take all four rings on the hob as well as the hot water tank in the bathroom and this kept cutting out especially when cooking. The kettle was too small for the number of people. A clothes drier/ hanging rack would have been useful
