Superb location 2 minutes from the port with several bars and restaurants within 100m. Clean comfy and well equipped. Booking online worked well. Staff were v friendly and the attached bar was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was 9€ in the bar for fresh OJ, bacon & eggs and a coffee. Pets are welcome and an en-suite room for 1 night with myself and dog 50€. Very good value.
There is several bars surrounding the hotel so people talking/smoking until midnight. Not late by Spanish standards but having driven up from Malaga I was ready for bed about 10! The front door is metal and not sprung so when someone let it slam at 7am it woke everyone up. Minor niggles that didn't detract from an overall good stay.
No restaurant Monday evening nor Monday morning. A coffee machine in the lounge which did not work, despite putting one euro in it. The shower fitting was broken.
5 minute drive from the ferry to Portsmouth. Pretty little village.
Warm water ran out. A pity the bar and restaurant downstairs were closed in the evening but to be fair we were warned about this.
The town was buzzing as it had a festival on Very chic and family orientated It is a very nice village and a superb hotel
Near the boat
No tea and coffee makin facilities, and no bar open or staff there
Perfect location for the Ferry Port...
Excellent location for ferry port. Clean room. Very reasonable rate.
Difficult to park. No staff on sight throughout our visit, therefore lift to 1st floor was not operational, so bit of a struggle with luggage.
Main advantage is proximimity to Ferry, but a lovely place to spend a night. Very pretty village and relaxed atmosphere!
Car parking not right beside hotel , but Okay if you have not much luggage.
nice clean well presented room and en suite
parking a bit difficult and no staff on duty due to day off
Room was spotless lovely bathroom it was a very quaint room unusual with highly polished dark wood floor. Very easy to get to ferry port .
It was very hard to park to unload car and I have to use walking stick. But we managed to park car not too far away but hard to carry luggage to hotel
Lovely place to stay overnight before the ferry. We chose it because they took dogs and we did advise them this by email and when we arrived. However, they close their reception and restaurant 5pm on Mon and all day Tues so we paid when we arrived. Later in the day the lady chased after us asking for another 10 euro for the dog. We thought this was a bit of a cheek, the 5 star hotel we had stayed in the night before had only charged us 7 euro, and it did seem like a bit of an afterthought spoiling our opinion of the place.
Comfortable room and proximity to ferry port. No problem with parking.
No restaurants or bars open within walking distance after 2300 hrs so essential to arrive early evening if you want to eat.
Location and staff and room very nice
free car parking. friendly bar at lunch time. comfortable room.
bar and restraunt not open in the evening as promised. no heating on during our stay in the afternoon and evening. no staff available after 5pm.
High quality and spotless en-suite bedroom. Attractive location despite being so close to a commercial and an industrial port. Literally five minutes from the ferry port.
The hotel appeared to be unmanned! On arriving, within the check-in period, we found the front door locked. Directed by as passer-by to the basement door we found that locked as well. Someone from an adjacent bar came out with an envelope containing a key and a room number together with a bill. On checking out the next morning no staff were to be seen. The restaurant was shut at dinner time and at breakfast. No secure car park and the nearest parking place was 150 meters from the hotel.
It Was Very Handy For The Ferry
No Parking Facilities Continuous Noise In The Hotel Which Was Keeping Us From Getting To Sleep
I booked and was quoted a price including vat/iva. Upon arrival I was billed additional amount for a pet (which I quite understand and didn't mind paying extra €10 for) but the inclusive booking.com amount quoted was in fact the net amount for the room, and vat was added to the bill.
Very close to ferry port which is ideal if catching the boat early in the morning. Room clean and bright. The owner was very pleasant (what we saw of him!!)
We arrived only to be told that the restaurant and bar were closed for that day and the following day and was given a key to the room above the bar and told to drop it in the box outside the door when we leave. There was nobody around if we had a problem and thought we should have been told this on booking. Thankfully a bar opposite was open (only one!) and we grabbed a bite there. Unfortunately no hot water in the morning for a shower.
Nice and handy for Brittany ferry terminal. Most comfortable bed we had had for a few nights.
Difficult to find reception and as it was in the bar think we hit a bad time as staff were very busy both doing food and bar.Barmaid had to take us outside to go to our room which was very cold but it did heat up later.
ideal for Brit. ferry.to Portsmouth 5 mins from port ,
"reception not staffed" book in at bar below down steep hill.you were seen when they had time between serving customers, we were unlucky as next day was fiesta and restaurant was closed early at 5 o/c and not open for breakfast.nearby restaurant very expensive
The fact it was located very close to the port for easy access to the ferry to England. It was very clean and comfortable
location and local seafood restaurants
