Hotel Maya Alicante    

All round great value for money this hotel. The rooms are simple but have everything you need. Shower is amazing. We were given great sea view The position is not in the main area but still very good only minutes from the beach and main promenade. Very good shopping mall near by to get those all important cheap bottles of water. Breakfast was spot on loads to chose from. In simple terms we would have to be really fussy to find fault. The hotel simply ticks all the boxes for ++

room noise room 1005 after midnight. all area is uphill if walking with an unfriendly motorway to cross for the beaches which are then good.

That it was quiet at night. Easy access to beach. Airport bus near by.

This hotel was spotless clean, food was lovely, drinks a fair price, close to beach and shops close by. Near tram stop for 6euro return go to Benidorm for the day fantastic trip

Staff could do with better english dont get me wrong they were very helpful but unsure about giving directions but only a tiny issue

Nice, helpfull reception (they speak even russian! :) ). Comfortable room, big balcony, good wi fi, we've got a number with sea view. Wide choise on breakfast. Actually we really liked to stay in that hotel and were fully satisfied with all services we've got. Would stay there again.

Walls so thin kept awake by loud snoring in room next door two nights and talking from balcony above, even though I had requested quiet room . Fruit juice machine at breakfast awful...just provide fresh juice please.

Location and sea view

Noise levels were a bit much on one particular night however it was soon shut out with earphones. When we returned from Costa Blanca region on last night and asked for a late check out 1) the housekeeper still came in to clean room before the agreed check-out time. 2) The front desk attendant called at 12pm asking when we were checking out although we had a late check out and paid accordingly. He mentioned he ''had forgotten''. Perhaps you should have a better system in place for late check-outs.

i liked the hotel, it was very clean, with a bus stop outside, it only cost 22 euros for a taxi from alicante airport to the hotel, there was a big shopping centre opposite the hotel, with a big food shopping centre inside a bit like tescos. it had a nice pool area and pool bar, we did walk to the beach but that took 20 minutes to get there, there were lots of nice restaurants around the area, i would recommend the italian restaurant, as you come out of the hotel turn right as if you were going down the hhill, then take the first turning on your right, this will take you to the italian restaurant that stays open late, we were in there till gone 11pm and people were still coming in, nice food very reasonably priced, if you dont fancy eating there carry on walking past italian and that will lead you to the beautifull beach, you do have to go down a lift or stairs to cross the road to the beach, if you keep walking to the right this will lead you to many restaurants and the marina, a very nice place it took us half an hour to walk there, but there is a taxi rank there to take you back to the hotel for 5 euros, we ate in a few restaurants by the marina and each one of them was nice food.free wifi in the hotel was a nice touch to keep in touch with family.

i would have preferred to take the hotel and place it closer to the beach, the pool would have been better if it was heated. a little bit of entertainment would have been nice and we did complain that we were only given 2 hangers between 2 of us for 8 days this was on the saturday night,we never said anything more until monday about the coat hangers because i thought fair enough i can borrow an iron, when we asked again about the coat hangers they maged to rustle up 2 more, i asked if i could use an iron because my clothes were now creased they said they didnt have one, i wasnt very happy about that no hangers and no iron, i had to walk around with creased clothes for the rest of my holiday. so if you stay there bring a travel iron, also there is no kettle in the room either which i think is wrong.

Helpful staff, free wifi. We were travelling with my friend and due to our late arrival we had the last available room left with double bed and without any balcony or terrace, but the next day the staff changed our room for a more spacious one with a balcony and twin beds. We were really grateful for that. Plaza Del Mar shopping centre is really close. The tram station (to get to Benidorm and Terra Mitica) and bus stop (to get to/from the airport) is in front of the hotel main entrance.

The location is a bit far from the city centre and El Cortes Ingles and other shops. The seaside is a bit closer, but still not too close.

Price Location

No drink facilities in room and nearby guests with children were very loud. Location means you need to enjoy walking which suited us. Balconies too enclosed and rooms need some TLC

The location is close to the beach, and close to marq tramstation, for connection to the city, other beaches and other places (E.G. Benidorm.) The room I had was recently renovated, and was as I would expect for the price.

Check in starts late. Minibar could be filled a bit better (nothing to eat, no wine.)

The castle wiew and of course Ferdinando in the restaurang and bar. Ferdinando is excellent and he really makes you feel good.

As all Spanish hotels the walls are very thin. You hear everything what is going on in other rooms, everything.... The gym needs to be maintained.

Man on reception was very helpful. Good location and great price.

We had a superior room but TV did not receive the English channels. Asked reception to resolve but nothing happened.

Location - superb just outside of noise of Alicante but close enough to walk in and out. 5 mins from great beach too. 5 mins from big shopping centre. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Good value. Took notice of considerations - eg rooms next to each other and double/twin requirements.

Good location. Short walk from beach, marina and very close to shopping centre. (Fab tapas bar on top floor of shopping centre).room very clean n comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We ate all round us every morning..set us up for the day. We played Paddle ball (like tennis) on the court beside the pool..great fun. Pool open n v clean but not heated. Staff friendly. Excellent value for money.

Room wasn't ready for a couple of hours when we arrived. We asked for a double bed when we booked but got 2 singles pushed together.

Hotel Maya was warm and friendly, excellent breakfast near to the castle, shops, buses and tram.

A bit of a distance down to the beach and the marina.
