This modern hotel lies at the foot of Santa Barbara Castle, just 400 metres from Alicante’s Postiguet Beach on the Costa Blanca.

The Kris Alicante, renovated in 2006, is located just a short stroll from the city centre. Here you can choose to spend your day in the outdoor swimming pool or down on the nearby Postiguet Beach. You can even book a sun lounger or deck chair at the beach from the hotel reception. After an enjoyable day in the Mediterranean sunshine you can head to the hotel’s buffet restaurant to dine on delicious local and international dishes.

From middle of June until 15th September, there is available a children playground area and a swimming pool.

Area information

The Santa Bárbara Castle is an ancient Arab castle located in the heart of Alicante. Situated at the top of the Benacantil hill, a rocky mass with an altitude of 166 metres and from which you can enjoy the beautiful views of Alicante bay and the city.

In addition you will also find the Postiguet beach situated in the centre of Alicante, an extensive area of golden sands and calm waters.

Yes, dividing walls to room were thin, noise carried through. Needs carpetting.

Cafe which provided tapas if you did not want a full meal

Pool was closed for half of my stay and cafe could not always provid some basic food ie, croissant in the morning.

Good as a stop-over accommodation (close to the highway). Not bad access to the centre and short walk to the city beach. Quiet rooms with lots of space, nice balcony and great view towards the castle and see. Parking by the hotel (paid) and many more on the street below (free). I would recommend this hotel for a couple of days stay in Alicante but rather not for a whole vacation longer stay.

location was good, 10 min walk from city center, bus stop in front of hotel

swimming pool was closing too early. always had to ask for an extra towel (we were 3 in the room with 3 beds but somehow always got 2 towels!)

Centrally located to all facilities of Alicante - but quiet at night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfortable and clean room with good view of the castle,and sea view in the distance from the good size balcony.

Good breakfast choice was spoilt by tinned fruit and synthetic juices.

The bathroom and comfort of the room it had an excellent layout. The cold buffet was excellent as was the fruit salads

Hot food in general was good but left to dry up. The reception staff were very cold and unfriendly we found 1 who could speak a little english and he was great but otherwise when we asked for directions into town etc or for a cash machine they said they did not know or just dismissed you. No courtesy room to shower in either for late departures only the toilets.
