La Casa Amarilla is a beautifully restored building from the 19th century. The apartments are well designed and professionally decorated in wonderful color combinations. Everything is very clean and comfortable, and works! And the owners are friendly and helpful. We were promised WiFi but couldn't get it to work.

It was great! The room was very spacious, had a kitchenette and a small balcony. We wished we were staying longer because it was such a nice place. Would definitely recommend, especially since it was so cheap. The only downside is they don't have an elevator, but it really wasn't a big deal for us.

We were welcomed in a very friendly way. Hotel staff (english speeking) very helpful in explaining sightseeing, ... around town. We had booked twin beds but our appt had double bed, extra bed was installed in living room without extra charges. A pity that bathroom had problems: water kept running after flushing). TV-set was very badly adjusted:image and sound.

Amazing location The bathroom in my room (#10) always smelled horrible, I'm assuming as a result of old/poor plumbing. Also all of the fixtures in the bathroom desperately needed replacing (No shower pressure, the toilet lever needed to be manually pushed up or it ran forever and the sink faucet wasn't secured to the countertop)

La Casa Amarilla is a quaint little hotel in Tarifa located about a 5 minute walk away from the ferry port. We stayed there for one night only and picked it because we were looking for a cheap place to spend a brief night in Tarifa. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room ("A", on the fourth floor) was enormous and clean, with a comfortable bed. The restaurant downstairs is a cute Spanish restaurant with very good food (try the mussels, the tomato and mozzarella salad, and the pork). I wish I had been able to stay there longer. The hotel was exactly what we were looking for--someplace to rest our heads after visiting Gibraltar and before going to Tangier the following morning. We stayed in the A room, which is on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. We didnt care about this, as we did not have any luggage, but others might. Also note that, since the hotel is so close to the port, you will hear the ordinary noises of ships navigating the straight and leaving the port (as well as churchbells). It's not cacophonous, but it's noticeable. Finally, this is a small hotel, so the front desk is not open round the clock. Plan accordingly.

The location was perfect for our day trip to Tanger. Walking distance to the port in Tarifa. It was not your typical cookie cutter hotel room. The room was large with a kitchenette. Be prepared for stair climbing as there is no elevator. The area has plenty of dining options. All in all it was a bargin.

Our little apartment was perfect for us. It was clean and beautiful and the staff were very helpful, giving terrific recommendations for dinner. The ceiling in the loft was a little low but other than that it was the perfect place for us. We hope to visit again.

It was a beautiful boutique hotel, in a great location, with a charmingly designed room and a friendly and very helpful staff. We stayed here overnight on route to Tangier.

Super location nice rooms but. . . See below. . . Rooms are spacious quirky and airy but steep stairs are unavoidable. The plumbing is tired and unreliable - hot water was hard to get.

Casa Amarilla was terrific. Rooms were nice, good size and had small kitchens. We had two rooms, one with a sleeping loft. Nicely decorated and nice Spanish architecture throughout. Staff was very helpful. A short walk from the Tangier/Tarifa ferry and right in the center of the old city. Close to everthing you want in Tarifa. Absolutey would stay there again. There was nothing I didn't like.
