Location and the staff was good.
The room we stayed was used to be a balcony and it was so cold and moist. We couldn't have a sleep.
Massimo the receptionist was superb, so welcoming and friendly. Hope we can go back one day soon!!
Only 1 bathroom to share between 3 floors.
Ideal location, friendly, loads of facilities you can use free its my 3rd stay
Really helpful staff went out of their way for us
Excellent location (just 5mins walking to get downtown) and staff always up to provide with suggestions and info. Had a good stay for three days, gonna choose it again whenever I'll be back in Málaga someday.
Location. Very close to the centre.
The strong smell of bleach as I walked into the room made me a bit sick. The bathroom is very small, the shower cubical is not for turning or bending down. The bed sheet had stains and the sofa in the room is really extremely dirty. My room was on the ground level so it's quite noisy at night with the windows opened to the street. Though I only slept a few hours there, it was rather expensive for that quality of room but I guess Malaga is rather expensive compared to some other parts of Andalusia.
Staff was excellent, we had all information about the city center we need. Good Wi-Fi, nice location just in the center of old city. 20-30 minutes walk from main train\bus station, 15 minutes to the closest metro station.
Room for disabled people wasn't so nice as on picture, looked like room in old building.
La Casa Mata Central and in particular, Juan-Carlos, understand the art of hospitality. In this lovely styled hotel you will want for nothing, because you can ask for everything. I had an amazing stay and I would definitely book again next time I'm in Malaga.
The only down side I can think of was that my room was right next to the reception desk and the late check in of one couple was somewhat noisy. But then, you can't win the all :)
The young staff provided good service and spoke well english, and the location was perfect. In a sidealley, no trafick and walking distance to downtown.
The house was old, for maybe two wellbeing families, or three generations, then painted up and renovated with improvised standard. But, OK, it didn't cost much and we did not complain.
friendly staff who gave us a lot of useful hints for Málaga, kitchen is very well equipped, the location is in a central but quiet street
Nice staff, very good location
Weak wifi, thin walls
The staff was very helpful and courtious. David was knowledgable about the city and gave us a tour of the place when we checked in.
Even though I booked a room with a shared bathroom (think hostal), the fact of only having one shower per floor was a bit ridiculous. The 'air conditioning' was awful. I need cold to sleep and was still warm with the fan on. Not to mention emptying out the water for the fan every 3 hours during the night.
Friendly staff. Our room was really quiet.
The shower was hot but broken hose let it down. Easy to fix.
Central location, friendly and helpful staff, easy to come and go.
Very small shower cubicle and extremely weak water pressure, uncomfortable bed and noisy.
Wifi working. Bathroom quite clean considering there was only one for the whole hostel.
Need to change the mattress. Only a fan in the bedroom instead of air conditioning.
A clean hostel to sleep, with kitchen (coffee, tea, etc.) and a washing machine at your disposal. Location is also perfect, and hostel staff is very friendly and helpful.
Most of the rooms seem to be tiny and a bit dark. There is no 24/7 reception, so please let the hostel know in advance when you plan to check in. But everything works as advertised.
Very nice place located in the center of malaga. the room was very nice and the cleaning good.
wifi connection doesn't work very well. 1 bathroom available for all guests.
Excellent place (city center, central market, beach, supermarkets - everything was accessible by foot), very friendly staff (they have recommended me some really nice places to eat)
Wi-Fi was quite slow
staff is not available 24/7
the staff is nice and is not the problem, but one person have to clean 20 rooms and that really to much to ask!
everything except the staff! small bathroom, bad sheets where not dry, The bed needs a new mattress.
There is kitchen with fridge available for guests
Getting by car and finding a parking place can be tricky (as it is in general in Malaga downtown), but the staff can give you directions.
The room was very clean and the 2 guys who worked there, David and Massimo, were extremely kind and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay there.
There was only 1 shared bathroom/toilet between a number of rooms and so there were often queues to use it.
Efficient use of space for storage in a small room.
No sink plug provided!
Friendly and helpful stuff, clean, quiet.
