The hotel is in a charming old building in the historic part of the city (but see 'what you didn't like for downside of this). The apartments are spacious and well appointed, with a pleasant communal garden and sitting areas. Good wifi.

The hotel is very hard to access by road (but this is the flip side of its excellent location in the old town). It's best to park on one of the perimeter roads of the old town (not too hard) and walk the last quarter mile. So better with light bags. The need to ring in advance is usually not a problem - but on this visit we experienced the downside. The receptionist must not lose her phone or accidentally leave it in the hotel (which is what happened this time). She then becomes uncontactable. There needs to be a safety net - a fixed line phone that can always be reached. (Happily on this occasion she finally noticed her phone was missing!)
