We had a room on the top floor which was wonderful with a skylight, jacuzzi, our own rooftop terrace. Room was very clean, bed very comfortable, downstairs restaurant on the beach was very handy for morning cafe, fresh squeezed orange juice, and snacks Shame we did not visit when the sea was warm

Loved being just in front of the water. Loved the spa pool at the top level. Requested water views from myvroom and got them. Thanks! Because of its location parking is on the road, about 2-3 blocks from it. I'd have liked reception to tell me that nobody will be at reception before 9:30am. It becomes a bit of a problem checking out early in the morning.

A bit below is the first part of my review (Ekaterina, 17.05.2013). Our plans changed a bit and we stayed in the hotel for 3 nights longer... And we had a great time! And some hints more. If you like to go to museums - this part of the city has 2 bus lines direct to the historical part and a night bus line also. The bus stop is 5 minutes from the hotel, not far from it is OpenCor - the shop which is opened from 8 A.M. till 2 A.M. all days including Sunday and without any breaks.

Very good for 3* hotel on the beach, 10m from the sea. We had a bigger room with additional sofa (and it's big enough if you come with your child-teenager) and with orange-tree view. If you have any problems are solved very quickly. And you can't miss mojito and pina colada in the bar. You can also take food and drinks from bar to the terrace with free sauna and jaccuzi. No bidet. You can't switch on/off the light with one switch, every lamp has it's own one.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The location was superb, metres from the beach, no traffic, endless places to eat. Room was clean and comfortable. The website still shows sunbed on the beach but these are no longer there

The Jacuzzi that was open late, most places close early I went to the front desk a few times for the WiFi password and no one was there. Finally I had to go to the bar to get it.

Begining a 9 days trip over Andalusia , we are very happy for our choise to stay at La Chancla , next to the sea , in a very quiet neibourhood at Pedregal , away from the high buildings and the noise !!! Friendly staff , excellent breakfast and most important the visitors of the café-bar are from the next door !!!! For the parking you can park your car for free at the main road without charge !!! We found perfect for our criterias , not crowded big hotel , small family enterprise with local collour and character !!!!

This is a great value for money location. Nicely decorated hotel room, good bed, clean (bath)room. Friendly staff, they speak basic english which is very charming. Food and drinks are good, location on the beach (well 20metres) is excellent. Parking a bit of a problem but I was lucky and found a spot every day nearby in a dead end ally. But be aware this is an overflow of rainwater during heavy rain as I discovered. Parked the car late at night and it was completly empty, next morning after a heavy night/morning of rain found the rental car in a rapid river of water almost floating. The locals knew that :-)

Very nice, cosy, simple but comfortable hotel right on the beach. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone! Much better than a huge resort-type hotel and still the beach at the doorstep.

The staff were very friendly. The setting is on the beach and in a very pleasant pedestrian area. The internet didn't work while I was there. The hotel is not especially easy to find, and you can't drive up to it or park within 200m.

The closeness to the beach and the price of the room. The double glazed windows in the room weren't very good so it was a little noisy at night.

This is such a fun hotel with the best beach location in Malaga. I can't wait to go back. Take your ear plugs because they party till the small hours. If you come prepared you will have a great time. The rooms are small.

Everything was great, especially the location and the staff. Despite the fact that La Chancla is a very small hotel, the rooms are modern and well equipped . If you want to feel the spirit of the common Spanish people , to see how they are enjoying their leisure time, this is the right place; if you want to spend a classic holiday in Costa del Sol with thousand of tourists from all over the world, you should go to Torremolinos, Fuengirola, or other huge resorts. In Pedregalejo, the restaurants are very good and cheap, the neighborhood is safe and you can reach the centre of Malaga in 10 minutes (bus no 11).

Location right on the beach. The other tourists were Spanish. Too few English speaking. No organized parking possibilities - it was a fight
