The location was great, close walk to everything, including a stunning view of the Ronda bridge! Owner was very helpful and nice! The apartment was beautiful, the pics don't do it justice. The wood finishings are stunning. Comfortable beds. Fast wifi. Parking is close (150-200m) at a nearby church lot and 10EUR/day. Happy we stopped in this town.
Take note, Spanish take their siesta/lunch time hours seriously, so there is a break between 1430-1700 where they won't staff the apartments for check-in, although they are reachable by phone.
Great space looking down on the plaza with incredible restaurant below. Separate bedroom with large living/kitchen area. Lots of large windows looking out at plaza. A plus for us was the washing machine & Grafia, the owner, supplied us with drying rack, iron & ironing board. Overall our best place so far after 3 weeks of traveling in Portugal & Spain.
Not a thing.......
Beautifully located on a square in the oldest part of town. A garage is nearby and it's a romantic spot. Nice terrace on the top floor. Spacious appartments with a rustic feel.
Beds and bathrooms are quite small. Wifi doesn't work well upstairs.
Gracia the host is a most welcoming and charming person. The perfect location is in walking distance of everything of interest. Our apartment had a spacious living room with an enclosed kitchen. The bedroom and bathroom were also a good size. We loved the wood floor and heavy wooden doors. The icing on the cake was the wonderful Meson El Sacristan next door with its wood fired oven.
It is an especially great place if you've been travelling awhile, and want more space than a hotel room and a washing machine. It is a small establishment with only 5 or 6 apartments. Lots of personal and friendly service from owner. She goes above and beyond. The apartments themselves are super comfortable and homey. Each apartment has several windows with shutters. Kitchen small but perfect. Some apartments have balconies... real ones, with furniture you can sit out on and have wine and/or dinner.
Smiling and welcoming owner, beautiful rooms, very clean, quiet, close to monuments, shops etc. Nice terrace for breakfast in the morning sun. The heating was on, hot water in the shower, the wifi worked well. Everything was perfect!
The owner was waiting for us in the square when we arrived which was very welcoming. We had a lovely apartment and enjoyed our 3 night stay very much. Ronda is a stunning place.
All was good.
We stayed for four nights in October 2014. Everything about our experience staying rated very highly. No hesitation in recommending this accommodation.
Hilde is very helpful and give a lot of valuable information.
Great apartment and good location. Hilde was also very kind.I Will come again next time
only stayed for one night
We stayed two nights but would have liked longer. There is so much to see and do in Ronda and la Colegiata is ideally situated. The apartment was spacious and tastefully furnished. We enjoyed using our small balcony despite not having a view. Hilde was very welcoming and provided us with lots of information. We will definitely return.
We spent 2 nights in this lovely apartment. Very Spanish decor which was nice. The manager, Hilde, was a lovely lady, and very helpful. I booked the apartment a year in advance, and requested a room overlooking the square and church, and that's exactly the room we were given. Perfect. Large kitchen, dining and living room, with separate bedroom. Mattress was a bit hard for us, but otherwise everything else was very comfortable. Highly recommended.
Lovely old restored room right over a restaurant with a view of the old square. Big lounge area with hidden kitchenette. Next to cathedral and a 15 minute walk to the centre and bull ring. Lots of interesting winding streets close by. Nice staff
Parking in church car park, you get a signed ticket from reception to take to the park on the other side of the square (show the ticket and you will be let in ), still costs 10 euros, no where to park otherwise. Take you own tea and coffee. You have to connect wifi downstairs.
Charming apartments. Great Location
the location is excellent - you can walk to everything. We had no trouble to find free parking at the bottom of the hill. We liked that we received a map with information for walking tours, restaurants at check-in as that saved us time having to find the TI. We had a front room at the top which contrary to other reviews, we did not find noisy, though that could be because the weather was a bit cooler. There is an air-conditioner if we had needed to close windows at night. The terrace on the top floor, which is available to everyone, was a lovely place to have our coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening before heading out. The kitchen is very small but was adequate for our purposes. The building itself is very neat - each room has a story and the old doors are magnificent! The restaurant in front of the hotel is excellent as well. You are in a good location to explore the surrounding area which is gorgeous - just wish that we had had more time.
The fact that reception is closed for several hours in the afternoon and until 10am in the morning. Overall, this was not really a problem as one can phone or text management. It did cause a bit of confusion when we were checking out 'early' in the am but everything was resolved so was not really a problem.
We loved our view on the street/square and our very spacious apartment
Furniture is dated
This is our return visit as we had impeccable service and comfort last time. It has great views over the square but is very peaceful at night. It is wonderful to return to the apartment after a hard day of sight-seeing.
Internet was a bit inconsistent but soon fixed.
In a great location, spacious apartment, lovely original building, very helpful owner.
Very dark rooms, poorly lit, odd furnishings, mattress uncomfortable.
We really enjoyed the location of the propertyj
Could do with better lighting.
Lovely, so much charm
Nothing it was perfect
La Colegiata De Ronda is a hidden gem. The photographs on the web site do not do it justice. Location was perfect. Hilde, who runs La Colegiata is most helpful and goes out of her way to assist, a real people person. Fantastic value for money. Spotlessly clean. Stayed for 3 days in August and wish we had booked for a longer stay.
Perfect location on beautiful square. Very nice rooms.
Downside of being on the square is noise until late in the night - so night advisable if you want an early night!
Bed too soft
decor, and location
need to call before you arrive, better have a Spanish SIM telephone card
